When I go into elements 3d my extrusion bevel is black. When i add material i cant see what it looks like. Just black surface. Wireframe mode works. I started with 2.2. Nervous that there is a setting i missed. Video above is 1.6 and looks different

Everything looks good in Scene Setup but once I click okay...in the comp the resolution is low... Even if I'm in full resolution

I am new to After Effects , and I wonder if the to use objects modeled in 3ds max instead of texts .

Element 3D is the single best addition to After Effects since the "save function"; not owning E3D is like owning a canoe without a paddle - kinda pointless.

You know after watching and doing this five teams you actually do learn more. In fact I like the one I made now better than yours Andrew.

Love this, so started playing with it and wondered what it would look like in 4k. Changed the comp size, all was fine at 'half', but one you change to 'full' quality the Element disappears and sometimes crashes After Effects.

For all those who are having issues with not having element, just download blender and create the text in 3D there and render it out for the project. Nice free and relatively simple!

i like the tutorials, i just dont like how you need extra files to complete them.. how about making a tutorial with just the basic after effect tools?

Awesome tutorial. How do you zoom in inside element3d if u don't have a wheel on your mouse? All I have is a Wacom tablet and a mac mouse without a wheel.

Great Job. As a suggestion, I think you should now be starting to give some similar interesting tutorials for 'Nuke' because lot of production houses and individuals are now shifting to Nuke particularly for compositing purpose. As you must be aware that it works on a much better colour space for film and integrates better on a pipeline environment than After Effects. Good luck and looking forward for more interesting tutorials in the future.

Great tutorial Andrew!! Hope it helps get the word out even more. This is my first comment and wanted to say thank you for all this. I am receiving a full ride scholarship to Full Sail, and none of this would've been possible without VCP. I will be attending one of the approaching seminars to present myself, and donate some $$ for all this education. Sorry for being wordy.

Very cool. You should do this for a living. Thanks for the tips on using Elements 3D and dealing with aliasing issues.

Beautifull!!! I love this, is simple, elegant, outstanding!!! I even like more the one you did than the original, has better reflections and looks more clean, more realistic. That tells us that geneality is something you born with. Great Job Andrew, greetings from Argentina.

This is a great tutorial. Thanks again for the quality of these products. Procedurally, this is how I begin a lot of my 3d projects through Element 3d. I like the finer details added through the supersampling, render settings, the list goes on. Nice to see the specific settings being used by a pro, and general ease of use in the interface makes for a helpful tutorial. Thanks again.

Hi Andrew,
Hey you are awesome, love the tutorial. Just wanted to know, can you please make some tutorials about something other than element 3d or jetstrike (don't take me wrong the tutorials are sooo cool but I do not own element 3d or jetstrike. I would love to but my film making budget in very low) I would very much appreciate some tutorials on other subjects.
You Rock!!
