Andrew I'm stuck!!! i don't know why when I came back to my principal comp "Footage" or "Output" the explosion is not in there!! I don't know why, is the first time something like that happens to me... please I need help! I'm about to finish it with a unlucky skater!

know this tutorial is old, but nothing of this works man, there is no effect called CC pixel poly, found one called shatter, but when I ad it there is no picture att the shatter pieces, everything has missing textures.

WHY is it so expensive to get to know "knowledge". just so you know, i downloaded AE CS4 for free.. you know, using crack, keygen and stuff. will that be okay IF someday i buy your products. would it be work. please someone ANSWER if you know..

Hey, I think that this is a great tutorial, I'm a beginner in after effects, I'm school trying to learn it, I will try this one, I have one question its the image just a picture of a person or a video of the person moving. Cause if not you should show how you got the picture move, but i think i know how, when move the background.

This tutorial is awesome Andrew. The whole site is awesome but there are so many small things you learn along the way in this one, it really opened my mind up to thinking in a VFX kind of way. So many small elements make up the whole.

hey dude...nice tutorials....but sadly..im new with AE so,i dont have the plugins that you used..pretty bad for me..cuz in my country,its hard to find VC Plugins that you used in your tutorials...though,i can catch up something from your tutorials and i'll try to make something different..my current plugins that i have is trapcodes...anyway,your awesome and kind..thanks for these tutorials you made..well done!

Decided to go one step further with this concept and make it just my head exploding. I masked out my head as my body slumped onto the table to make it appear as if my lifeless and headless body was slumping over. Posted a few weeks ago, just getting around to mentioning it here. Thanks Andrew!

I just finished following this tutorial to a "T" for my personal entertainment, and lemme tell ya, it was worth it so I could see the end result in full detail. I'll definitely use this technique for blowing people up in the future! Thanks Andrew!

As much as i love sam, it was a pleasure to see him electricuted. I enjoyed him shoot himself and also get proceduraly disintegrated. He is such a good sport. Excellent work once again andrew, and look forward to next tut. Im currently in school for motion graphics and video editing. I have to say, you are by far the most influencial reason for going to school. I just wanted to say thanks. Also, is there a way of performing a good and believable morphing of peoples faces in ae cs4.

Amazing tutorial!
I think the CC Pixel Polly use in this tutorial could also be used in the meteor strike tutorials in place of using a 3D package. Obviously the end result wouldnt be quite so slick but if you're on a budget pixel polly looks pretty sweet.

you should have made the chunks and their animation in 3d........ that would have been professional... and maybe use a rotating camera and motion track it.....that would have been awesome..

This is just amazing if someone told me to make this effect for them i wouldn't even think about after effects until the end I'd do it all in 3ds max its amazing Mr. Kramer was able to figure out how to do it in after effects so brilliantly.

Do you remember our short conversation (email) when I asked you to take the next step in your AE tutorials? I asked you (maybe a year ago or so) for show us how to handle 3D stuff, motiontracking etc... I think you were a bit upset about my question and told me first to learn the basics.
But that's ok. I don't want to be negative! I really like to see you taking the AE Community (or VCP Community) to higher levels! You do an outstanding job and for me and I am sure for all of the people out there it's the best way to dive totally into motiongrafics and videoeffects!
I want to say "thank you!" for the great tutorials and the great products! I try to support your community-philosophyie and business by buying your products whenever one of them are usefull to my projects!

awesome friggin insane, although i kinda wish you would have actually done the blood splatter on the lens, but i can forgive you for this amazing tutorial. during which i thought of SOOOO many things to use it for.

Nice Blood Explosion! i would have put some blood splatter on the garbage shed, and maybe even a chunk that is sliding down leaving a blood trace behind. Thx Kramer!
