Our new mystery Plug-in is not quite ready to launch! But almost there! I know, I know...

Once I began working on the tutorial, I realized it needed a few new functions. Even though we are releasing a new free plug-in, it still has to be good!

I guess I have a bit of a reputation for going over my self-imposed deadlines and it's true. I tend to get comfortable with tools and begin to see ways to make it better and it takes time. I tend to push the limits a bit, and I just hope that people appreciate that we are releasing things when they are ready and not just because. Obviously we want to be punctual with our releases but if an extra 12-24 hours will make a significant difference, we would rather be known for quality tools than 'crappy tools that come out on time.'

Although I'm getting better at managing my expectations and time it takes to execute... I also love a challenge. Not a good combination.

Right now, we need to do some final testing. Then I can finish recording the tutorial. Should be a fun little plug-in once we get it up!

UPDATE 2: Still jamming!! There are no more ends to the candle!! Our programming team is working out some final stuff. I started making a promo video... It's kind of crazy. Not sure how cool the plug-in will be but this promo is pretty wild. We are close but there is some insane amount of work going on right now.

I don't mean to drag it out. I can't help myself...

On another note, what music should I be listening to? I've blown through all my music. There's nothing left!!

In addition to posting on the blog more frequently, I plan to post more photos and experimental renders on the new Instagram account!

Our free Color Vibrance plug-in has been updated to fix some crashes.
In addition to great colorization, it can also be used as multiply tool to create an alpha channel from stock footage.

I Finally have some good news to share! Our first new Free plug-in of 2016 will be available next week! And it's something I've always wanted a proper solution for! So we made it!

I know, It's been quiet around here but that ends today! In addition to some cool new plug-ins and tutorials, I'm also going to be doing some LIVE presentations and shows and try to make the community more interactive... You know, the opposite of this past year! OH SNAPPP!!!

Oh yeah, my wife and I would also like to introduce our new son, Jason Michael Kramer. See! I have been making all sorts of stuff this year!

It's been a crazy year! Getting an opportunity to work on Star Wars and learning how many days you can survive with no sleep. It's been an incredible honor to work with J.J. Abrams and the amazingly talented people at Bad Robot and ILM. To see the love an dedication that went into this film was inspiring.

I've been lucky enough to work on other feature films but this project seemed to push me harder and teach me more than any other experience in my life.

The thing about Video Copilot, it has always been a place to share my experiences and my challenges. I've always wanted to make tutorials based on real-world projects and some of the coolest tricks and techniques have come from working on actual productions. Star Wars was a masterclass on solving problems. I'm truly excited to be back at Video Copilot and back among the living and to share with you everything I've learned.

Thank you all for your patience and kind words that helped me get through some intense nights.
