VIDEO: NAB Presentation on Star Wars!

Here is my Star Wars hologram presentation. I get into the design process a bit and focus on some of the challenges and interesting techniques we used. Including the time I met Harrison Ford... kinda.

NAB was a lot of fun this year.Fun to see many of the design friends and all of the people from the community. Thanks to the team at Adobe for recording the session so we could share online! At some point I'd love to get into more technical details and in-depth info about the work process.

Here is a mini-interview I didas well!

Wondering if 'Edit Original' is only available on the Mac version of Element? I'm on Windows and I don't see "Edit Original' when right clicking on an object in order to edit it back in C4D.

Great presentation Andrew! Thank you for sharing you passion and talent. It has helped make so many of us better. We appreciate it.

Anyone else here know how to create floating tags as seen in the presentation here? (In element 3d?)
Jason
Why not just Extrude some text and make a mask for the line that connects it to the sphere. Position them where you want and then use the world transform to move everything together. Just an idea.
Jeremy
I'll give that a shot, thank you Jason!

mmmm...nice nice, but...
every story has its downside, and I can see the dark side of the force affecting the forcefulness of your sense of humour Mr. Kramer... plus a few kilos maybe?
man...quit now and get back to tuts on how to make Sam loya explode.
Sean
kidding of course, your sense of humour is always great.
But the dark force will make you chubby eventually.

Tough crowd!

Andrew, its clear that you are someone who will goes all out to produce unfathomable quality in everything you do, be it your tutorials, your plug-ins (free or reasonably priced), your short movies or even your demo reals. Everything you do is excellent and truly shows the hard work you and your team put in. Thanks heaps for being a genuine guy who constantly gives to us in the AE community. I hope you get to taste of all the rewards that hard work brings especially with your growing family. Cheers and keep up the amazing work (and humour!), you're a legend!!
Hey there Andrew,

really enjoyed your NAB presentation. Thanks for your tremendous work!

Is there any possibilty we will see a video or blog post which will go a little more in-depth? Seeing After Effects being used in a project of this scope is really awesome and not something people see every day. I'm especially blown away by the amount of Element 3D you guys have been using. I think it would be really interesting to have a much closer look on your specific workflows, especially with compositing in mind. (Plus, did you guys produce stereoscopic and if so, how? I always thought that the AE 3D space was very limiting and not really that great to work with when it's crucial to work absolutely accurate.)

Anyhow, it'd be really great to hear a bit more about all those little details!
Well, maybe I should read the whole blog post first ? it seems you're having the same idea. Great!
