I love you guys. I wouldn't know AE without your lessons. Also, I have a gigantic crush on Andrew's voice, so if you could come read me bedtime stories, that'd be great.

ANDREW! Dude, you're Killing me! Is there any way you can save some (or all!) of these projects as CS5.5 files for those of us loyal, dedicated and devoted (not to mention POOR from buying so many VCP products!) fans who have patiently waited decades for a new project only to be crushed because we haven't upgraded yet.

Or maybe post them somewhere where we could go download them?

Pretty please...?

Thanks!

Love the tip and entertaining teaching style! Thank you Mr. Kramer & Crew for all your hard work and attention to detail! You guys always keep the end product in mind and your efforts don't go unnoticed (obviously)! Better results come from better learning, and your team should be an inspiration to all, for your execution of both!

Andrew I LOVE the blog show cos we get to see you do alot of practical things and BTS stuff! Plus you always crack us up with your jokes. Lol@MJFox!! Been wanting more blog show for long now. Technique displayed in this vid is pretty much common senseif you understand how volumetric light is created, but you make it so much bloody fun! And some nice ideas can spring from this. Keep up your awesom work man. Keep well and greets to the family.

Thanks Andrew for the look at a cool practical effect. It immediately reminded me of how Peter Kuran did the main intro title for the 1982 "The Thing". Very much the same process- he took a fish tank filled with smoke and put a cut out of "The Thing" title on the back. Then stretched a garbage bag over a frame between the back of the tank & a light. He then lit the garbage bag on fire & it burned away to reveal the title- and one of the coolest into effects was born. AE is great but sometimes ya just can't beat old school!!

I remember learning this on the THING DVD way back - I thought it was such a clever, clever way to do the title. Sometimes simplest solutions are the best.

Hey Guys, have you watched the film "Welcome to the Jungle 2013"? Better check it out. It got Andrew's Jungle VFX on it's Title Design. Tell me if you had already watched it..

Cheers for Andrew's Revival.

Andrew, So this i s a seriously cool and straightforward way of creating that perfect logo. I wonder, it there a way, like you showed at the end of the twitter logo, to blend the cut out with a 3d model via the extrusion feature (using Element 3d) and animate it halfway, then back to the 2d psychical cut out? sorry if I geeked out too much in this comment! lol thanks- Tim

I literally got teared up because it was so funny. (It was inspirational too). Love you guys.

NNNOOOOO!!!!!
My work has blocked youtube videos!
That was one of the first things that made me stop and start watching the tutorials, hosting the videos on your server meant I could view them at work.
The fact that they're awesome is the reason I've watched the first 45 tutorials in the last week.
Oh well, I'll just have to watch it when I get home..... something to look forward to

Thats cool! - just thinking - you could use something like ponoko to laser cut the logos out of thick card or a light board - that would help avoid the Michael J Fox look hehe.
