Here's another use for the Disintegration Tutorial techniques in a motion graphics example. I used a little bit of shine or a Radial Blur to create a lighting effect as it burns or blows away. You can even play around with the colors to create a magical burn away as well.This tutorial has a cool method for creating light beams if you're interested.

Andrew, I've always been following your tutorials and I regard you as at least a half-god (if not a three-quarter-god), said that, well, I'd kill my mother-in-law for the source of this effect, really. I mean, post it and I'll do it and post the pictures of the slaughter. When I'll *have* a mother-in-law anyway...

to Andrew, I would buy a DVD full of AE samples of disintegration Texts,or plugins. So that we (who don't use AE very often) can just insert text or video and presto. BYT I bought the Pro scores/Designer Sound FX bundle. Awesome!

I had a real problem getting my source and disingrate to go on top of a background. I played with the collapse transfomations and such but never did get it right. I need to revisit it and keep pluggin!

I'm interested not so much in the title, but in how you did the mist that travels down the texture in the background, did you use fractal noise? I would love to know how to do that!

That's great, there's so many applications for this last tute my head hurts. if anyone's reading I think the font is something similar to 'franklin gothic' or something gothic.

This and 'The Ring' tutorials are a couple of personal favorites as they both show a deeply practical way to repurpose information in a truly professional workflow.
