The One-Two Punch!

"Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth!"

Alright! I'm on it!!! I was feeling TOO good, too confident and thought I could get these two tutorials done faster!

But alas it is only a day or two away! I promise awesome useful tips! My pencils down and the fight is on!

Working on a teaser using new Bevel technique! #noPlugins

Andrew's mind exists outside of time, so when he re-enters our time domain sometimes there are 'discrepancies.'

The trailer for the tutorial is out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MWWyQEDkdqc

Just a thought, since we have no idea what you are actually working on day to day... Why not just create your tutorials at your own leisure, and once they are completed you can tease them and offer a release date. I feel like that would solve all of the imaginary deadline issues. Keep doing what your doing....we really appreciate it!

Andrew, your products and tutorials are always of the highest quality. But if I may make one suggestion: rather than posting a date when a tutorial or product will be available, why not simply say, "watch for an upcoming tutorial," or something to that effect, and avoid any deadlines at all? And then once the tutorial or product is completely finished, post it.

I agree.

While looking forward to this kickass tutorial I have been experimenting with Element 3D and 360° Virtual Reality and I managed to figure out how to create a stereoscopic animation so you can really see depth like the object is right infront of you. You can only experience this if you are using VR goggles you can put your smartphone in.

I am always devoted to every tutorial that you deliver, as it helps me in my role as a motion graphics artist. Mr.Andrew you are the best.

I can respect the establishment of a target as a part of your creative process, Andrew, and I can relate. The establishment of a target date means you pick a direction and move forward, eliminating all the other approaches you've considered. But it's inevitably that moment when inspiration tells you a way to do want you truly wanted - and it's just that much better. If you don't reach the part where you have to choose a path to proceed and get to work, you never reach that moment of inspiration. I say if it works for you, go for it.

I know how you work, how you give yourself all these lessons and a truly high-quality visual, I'm ready to wait, we are ready to wait, because we know that in the end there will be something exciting! Forces you and new ideas! And the whole VC team good luck! With love from Russia.

You probably don't need the promo videos for tutorials Kramer. Skip the trailers and just release the tutorials, that's all that matters to anyone anyway
7 years ago
The trailer is where the idea is tested and expanded. It's a snapshot of possibilities. This is the creative "Process" for me.

No worries, Andrew! Believe it or not, we're all pretty bad at setting our own deadlines. In fact, there's a recent Freakonomics podcast episode all about it. The only thing you can really do is use past experience to compensate for your optimism.

But don't worry, we're not going anywhere just because you're a week or two late on a tutorial. Love you, bro.

No worries man. We ( at least most of us ) realize you are a busy guy! As a father myself, I understand how crazy that can be. In addition to making movies, and growing a business.....it's burning the candle at more than both ends. These guys should be happy to have whatever they get. I know I am. Keep up the work, when you can. We've all learned a lot from you.

Transparency from a man who brought us all the tools we use to make money day in and day out. What an awesome guy. AK trained us, equipped us and is now leading us by example. AK, your the man. Don't let negative comments make you think that your base is against you. I'd say by reading all the comments you have a HUGE fan base of trained capable people earning money from what you've done for the AE community. Stay strong. Keep up the good work. You've never let me down man.
