A Hero Will Rise on the Video Copilot Show!

UPDATE: Just want to let you know we are exporting and doing some final quality control and hope to upload soon!

I waited all day to make this graphic so that I would be sure the episode is ready! So far I've only slept about 5 hours in the last 3 days trying to get the show out earlier but we really want to make the show to be unique and detailed! Now, I better not write too much, the words are starting tomelt!

To be honest,this episode started as a small idea to do while I finish my short, Intercept, but in the words of George Lucas: "I may have gone too far in a few places."

The Video Copilot showis premiering tomorrowand we have some exciting new tips and tricks in this action packed episode. I Hope you guys enjoy it!

I would love to see more tutorials about Element and set extension with element..maybe some ablient concussion and lighting tips with element..i know the basics but all i can really do is play around with element and push it to its full amount until after effects crashes..but i would to to learn how to make my renders with element look realistic! It seems Andrew has a lot of great products..i hope more tutorials are coming our way for these great products!

Actually you mean Ambient Occlusion!! In computer graphics, ambient occlusion is a shading and rendering technique used to calculate how exposed each point in a scene is to ambient lighting.

I'm so glad I decided to check up on the blog today. Only a few hours before I get to see Sam's beautiful face on my screen again. Though we saw him in the Saber video, I feel the last time we really saw him was Shell Shocked. (I could never get that effect to work correctly.)

Andrew, I think you should focus tutorials on using the motion packs too. How to build a scene and composite things like you did in the sobor video and/or the elevator shaft video. All you other videos are great, but you really don't have any tutorials that focus on scene compositing using the motion design packs. Thanks!

I think revisiting the older tutorials is a great way to see how much improvement has been made. I like the idea a lot! An imploding planet, then exploding would be fantastic!

Andrew - your Planet Explosion inspired this promo, that (and I can't emphasize this enough) ACTUALLY AIRED ON TV. A little background context - It was Christmas break and all the bosses were away. My friend had always wanted to "Blow up the death star" and I just watched your tutorial and I thought - PERFECT! I can do this!
