I bought the Jet strike bundle that included metropolitan. LOVE IT! OMG you could sell 3D models every week and I will keep buying them. I'm sure some ships and subs are coming in the future. Great stuff! I can't wait for more. Element is a game changer you are going to be busy with this.
This is great. It would be cool to have classic WWII planes. My father flew with the Flying Tigers in WWII. P40's and P-50;s.
Unzip everything but have a lot of folders and don t know where to put them - i bought the jetstrike and the flight kit !!!!

Andrew, did you use fume FX for cloud twisting when the missile shot through it. Is there a way to do that in aftereffects without using fume.

Awesome Andrew! You and your Team did a really great job (once more)??? I wonder if the mesh visibility works only with your own models or with others ? (Cause this would be very helpful to animate ours as well)

This is amazing work. I was very impressed with the plug-in and the 3D model work, but the release of JetStrike is something else. After completing so commercial work for FOX Sports I'll defiantly be buying the JetStrike pack.
Just one questions... is the Space Shuttle coming soon? Rigging that would be an insane project for your crew.

great update! nice models and great price. Your stuff is amazing!!! I do gently throw my voice behind the request to open source ability to add animation points like your landing gear and flaps sliders for user models. I understand that these models are hard-coded and understand the issues involved in opening that side of the models up in the context of the amazing ease of use E3D provides to users - so it's falling outside of the target main stream users baslcally and would create headaches in tech support and just be hard to ensure no errors... but maybe you could open source that part of element anyway -- 95% of people could then ignore it.. but the hardcore might have some major break throughs????
Anyway a work-around I thought of is that you create a model in C4D that's your main version of the model and then if you want to animate a flap or landing gear of your own model... create an identical version of the model with the animation baked in and swap it out at the keyframe you need - bake in animations are awesome basically

This are some observation questions... I'm trying to learn and take notes.
1) in the wire frame of the air plane it shows a lot of triangulated faces,also this tri faces in the wings are very long and not subdivided.
usually, I would thing any face needs to be subdivided to display the texture,bump and displacement maps better...?
2) the quad faces are machine perfect and similar one big and one small in a perfect grid.
3) what 3d application was used?
will you make a video tutorial showing this techniques? it will be very beneficial... if the tri faces not necessarily need to be subdivided as much it will safe a lot of faces and make the model less heavy... thank you... I am not an advanced modeler, that's why I, may be asking this stupid questions..

Mr. Kramer and staff, in the video above, when the jet goes in the sky and the clouds spiral, I was so impressed by that shot that I had to remake it.
Was it particular? If so-what I did was used a Motion Path, spin it around by linking it to a null object and rotating it-made the emitter a box so I can increase the Z emitter size, and set the particle type to cloudlet, and increase the size a bit. Then I added a vector blur to give it that smoky cloud look. I'm also guessing that you used multiple layers of spiraling clouds/particular.

Wow! Once again, my mind is blown! If you guys can create fully rigged jets to be animated using E3D, I can't wait to see what's next!

I find myself being somewhat ambivalent towards this release.
Mainly by the fact that from this preview i can tell that there are around what, 9 3D aircraft models (F22, F16, F18, F35, 737, 747, ac130, F117, MIG29 ), all presented as if they're the new golden iphone.
Thing is, while presenting all 3d models out there as insanely expensive (and people should realise that those who are most of the time deserve their price tag) you are ignoring the plethora of free high quality models offered by nice dudes all over the world on various sites, from turbosquid to tf3dm. I guess I was hoping on some form of alliance between you and the community on this, a la future city pack, with some of the creators even having some benefits from the sale of the pack. Or, since you seem to push element3d towards being a wider ecosystem, some alternative solution like developing a marketplace where people might be able to sell their 3D models in e3d format.
I may be the only ungrateful bast*** who's slightly disappointed about this. I realize my expectations were unreasonably high, but in the end it's your fault for setting the bar there.

Just a random question for Element 3D (cuz of quite attention here)
Does Element 3D illustrate (calculate? or cache?) shadows of 3d models reflected by AE lights onto Matte plane? It seems to only have AO setting .

Would it be right to expect exclusive rigs like this one, for the next planned Model Packs? Like the Vehicle Pack? I'm surprised when I see the sliders in Element GUI. Compact solution for sure. But now I know that I can never achieve these animations with my models inside E3D I can do it in Cinema and then export though. Thanks for the inspiration, Andrew.

I've been saving up by eating Ramen Noodles morning, noon and night (insert drama here: "and not getting a lick of sleep") since you posted the release date so I can buy this, and its NOT HERE!!!!
Somebody in your organisation lied to me (I'm joking)... OK, prolly didn't think somebody like me would be crazy enough to be up at this hour to buy it..., but you see, I GOT's TO HAVE IT!!!
WARNING... Even though it may appear as such, this really IS NOT a life or death situation. I will probably survive until your normal business hours here is the USA.

thank you Andrew and the crew for an amazing product. I am very excited for this product since I love fighter jets. it will be a pleasure spending $200 for this bundle. also going to get me a GTX 760 while I am at it. T-minus twenty hours for my shopping spree. would have liked to see a F14 tomcat with scull squadron logo on it but hey a mig 29 fulcrum it aint bad with f35 no arguments here.

I have to say Andrew, you and your team have brought so much fun back into animation! I am so blown away with the rigging of the models, I'm just speechless. For many many year, I kept saying to the guys around me, "why doesn't someone come out with a high end 3D solution for AE." The day I first saw ELEMENT 3D, I've been bouncing off the walls. I'm in the Air Force and I work on a 747 that is not AF1 (do the math). I hope it will be easy enough to make a custom skin so I can replicate the aircraft. I am so excited for this. Thank you Mr. Kramer. You and your crew are god sent.

i saw you use element 3d v 1.6.2 ... so please tell us is it require for this model pack ?
or when we install jet pack that rig option is automatically avalable in element 3d setup .

Andrew, I have a request if you could use this jet pack and make a detail tutorial using some of the features like customizing the aircrafts animating different parts, it will be be very helpful to those of us who don't use 3D software, it will also promote your product

This model pack is insane! Is there going to be an update for element to work with this pack or is it good to go? $200 for this pack beats any product out there, and this pack could easily cost $2000 or more...

Awesome stuff! Just out of curiosity, will there ever be a version of Metropolitan with destroyed or mostly destroyed buildings? I think it would be awesome for making a post apocalyptic city.
Will there be an Element 3D / Jet Pack bundle offer for those of us who also need to purchase the plug in? Similar to some of the other 3D bundles? Thank you.

Quite the VCP Ecosystem developing around E3D. Each pack takes it to a new level. Impressive.
Little Disappointed that it doesnt come with a Sam Loya Pilot, i mean if we're gonna blow up aircraft, it feels unfair not to have sam as the pilot in that aircraft

How the eff can you sell this for so little? The rigging on the jets is an amazing feature. I actually created a whole f14 sequence using element last year, this would have made my life so much easier. I paid $160 for just one F14 model with lower res textures and none of the rigging and cool features you guys have included here.

Not that we need very many but I'm curious how many explosions come with the flight kit?
Well after watching that... I now have my own small selection of sound clips. Mainly vocal and adult in nature, but peppered with the odd gasp and fart... I'm beginning to realise, there is no 'next level' with you guys is there!? You just set the bar and everyone else fails to measure up!

If we have our own aircraft that we specifically setup for Element, let's say- a WWII British Submarine Spitfire and I want to animate the rudder/ailerons, is there a way the new aircraft rig would allow me to do so?

Can you give us some pointers on how to set up the rig inside individual models at least? I know that for my work in the automotive industry, I'm going to try to figure this out on my own anyway. It's just too handy of a feature not to try and hack together. Just some pointers. We're smart. We can figure it out from there. (in other words, if I open up an E3D object, is this something I can figure out on my own? I'd rather have an SDK tho.... Yes, I'm spoiled... You spoil us and now we want more...

Hey Andrew , we cant do realistic simulation in ae , but we can do simulation in c4d , export nulls to ae and copy + paste e3d model , like that animated text
