When you want to make an epic trailer, like the one we have been talking about for months, you need some footage of a camera flying through the mountains. It's pretty much a requirement. For this shot we bought some nice stock footage of a camera fly-through but we wanted to add a little more evil to the countryside. So we used a 3D camera track and added a matte painting of some jagged mountains and even used particular to build a spooky evil Myst across the land. The great thing about this promo we are making is the wide variety of shots and techniques needed to finish each shot so expect some expansive tutorials and information. More to come soon!

Personally I feel 'Vue' software will better serve the purpose of creating outdoor scenarios including menacing mountains

This is going to be their most epic short yet! The image looks really good. I am now going to figure out how to do this in Blender 2.5 I could make a tutorial if anyone is interested. If I figure it out that is.
REALLY FANTASTIC, Andrew. I love also Mattepainting with Motion Effects using Aftereffects and other mix softwares resoult. kann you do a Tutorial for thise case. it would be great dude. Thanks again man.

This would be an excellent tutorial with so many uses. I know it really uses elements cover in past tutorials for tracking etc but the idea of buying stock or shooting video close to your final requirement then replacing the scene is an awesome one.

yup yup! A tut on your favourite 3D tracker would be great. I use to be on the Boujou side, but now I'm trying to get to grisps with The Foundry Camera Tracker for After Effects.

I am really looking forward to these tutorials. I am hoping you got some non-Harry Potter looking spell-casting tutorials in there, as well. I love the way that stuff looks in the movie's, but it is getting a bit played out as far as style goes.
