For those who may have missed it, the rules state...
All entries must contain [ORIGINAL WORK] or Video Copilot Product Elements and be "family friendly". (empahsis added)
Regardless of what country you live in, that means you can't use stuff from sources like istockphoto, either. Read the EULA carefully on royalty free sites. They clearly state what you can and can't use their images for.

Don't worry about colors, they will likely be limited due to the medium anyways. Not to mention the colors of shirts.

Slightly off topic, but where do you guys go to print T-Shirts anyway? I need to do this for an upcoming event - but I haven't printed T-Shirts before. Who does good work with this kind of thing?

I am going to win this, simple because I have to. I ran out of T-shirts and my wife has no abilities other then shrinking the ones I had. I have no abilities either, so all my eggs are now in the Video Copilot basket.
Else I will just walk around shirtless, but most likely I'll get arrested doing that.
I hope that I won't get arrested before I win.

This is crazy, i didnt mean in a bad way. The Design submission is over 1300 now and still counting. Its only few days andrew kramer posted. By the time its like the end of may, its going to be like 5000 designs. It will be hard for videocopilots staff to judge which is the best one. Like they say, votes doesnt count, its up to them to vote for it.
I know the fact people created multiple accounts so they can design more. Andrew, is that something that need to be included for 1 designer should only have 1 account instead of multiples?
If so, then can I do it also?

Would it be possible to rework the "Top Rated" shirts option in the gallery viewer? As of now, it seems to mix number of ratings with number of stars, and come out with some average shirts. If there was an option to view "Highest Rated" and "Most Rated" that would be cool. I know that would probably take a lot of time though, so I understand if it can't be done.

Titso that is the point of the contest so they have a shirt design to sell. Being they are picking a winner and 4 runner-ups Iâ??????m sure they will eventually sell all 5 designs to have so variety. WHEN they will be available for purchase that is different, I have no clue on that one.

This is such a great idea Andrew!!! it is really fun to look at the gallery, now there is over a thousand different designs!!! The only way I could simulate the problem you are having was to turn cookies off in my browser. Please make sure you have cookies enabled or you are not blocking them.

I see a lot of people are possibly registering multiple accounts and voting for themselves. Shame on those who are doing that. Some of them are easily noticed by having 5 stars on multiple designs with the exact same number of votes.
Anyway, i know Andrew and co are gonna be making the final decision, its still slightly peeving though.

I tried everything. I deleted all my cookies or whatsoever and history too. It is still not functioning. Still having the same problem. I even turn off my firewall, it didnt do nothing.

If you update a design and reupload the image and it is still showing as the old image, it is just a browser caching issue. Try holding shift and hitting F5 on your keyboard to refresh the page. I will fix this caching issue later, but for now, you can fix it by doing the above.
If you keep getting the login error that tells you that you have to be logged in to do that, try clearing your cookies, cache and restarting your browser. I will also be looking into this issue later.

well..Andrew...first of all...you guys did a Great job with that website! its built really well, and u can see the amount of time and effort u put into it, just for the contest, so Good Job! :]

We were going to do comments but we don't have the time to moderate all of them. People on the internet can't be trusted

please help me. I am ready to submit my design but I cannot log in. I did registered and all. Still says when logging in "You must logged in to do that" I understand.

I must say, I'm glad that the VC crew will be selecting the winners.
Either everyone has horrible taste in design or some people are boosting their own ratings thinking it will help. A number or really good entries are getting 1 or 2 stars and some of the most gaudy and amateurish designs are in the 4 star range.

Love the "My Parents are null objects" and the F9 "For when things get hardy hard" (or whatever it was they said), both got a good chuckle from me.

I dont think your disqualified user, just your tshirt you sent is disqualified. You need to follow the rules I guess. I am just basing on your link you posted. It says "The URI you submitted has disallowed characters"

Just a note to anyone designing. Don't use trademarked/licensed material. There is a shirt I saw with bart simpson as much as I like the shirt it can't win unless Andrew is going to buy a license to use bart simpson which isn't cheap. There is another one with the videofather that has sam something like that is allowed because it falls under parody laws and there isn't any infringement. Just a little tip before you spend a lot of hard work on something that won't win because you are using licensed material trust me I would love to make some family guy video copilot shirts =o) but they will never be used because the licensing is way to expensive.

I watch all those projects and i find only few shirts i would wear. Many are really great looking - it requires lots of skills and work, however, its just to much for a t-shirt:] I guess simple is best. Simple doesnt mean bad. My favourite is shirt that cosists of only text--> "Im not and idiat". Couldnt stop laughting. I guess this is what it is al about;] good luck all. (me too)

Evaluation looks so good on the shirts i am really enjoying admiring everyones designs.
This is a grate contest because from seeing other peoples amazing designs with those grate elements really inspires me to experiment and play with the elements.

Wow guys, some of these designs are awesome! I know this will be a tough choice for Andrew and the crew at VC with so many awesome designs being submitted.....and it is only the first day.

Well I lost, haha. One thing I worry about happening is good designs getting poor votes by jealous designers.
