For the reflection, I used the mirror reflection features to give it that classic car commercial glaze! The recent tutorial covers this technique in detail so please check it out!

Hi guys, Im currently upgrading to a PC with 4 Nvidia Titan X Pascal for GPU rendering in C4D. I also use E3D alot. So im just curious; does E3D take advantage of multi GPU setups like Octane/Redshift? Is there some info on this somewhere?

Pretty flawless! Attention to detail is a 9.5. Are the density and hue of the vehicle and robot shadows matching those of the practical objects in the scene to your liking?

The shadows are not quite matching to the background. Getting the shadow tints right was a challenge in itself. Although using curves adjustment layer on the entire comp helps. Still trying to get the hang of E3D.

I would love to see how you create your chromatic aberration effect on your renders, and how you achieve that oval shaped, anamorphic bokeh we've seen in a couple examples!

I did have AO on but I think because of the reflection on it took away the look. Not sure what happened there.

Looks good. You know what would be dope? To have more shader models for Element. Or a way to implement shaders yourself. Physical shader is awesome, but there are certain things you cannot achieve with it. Like soap bubbles. Or metallic paint with flakes (wonderful for rendering cars in closer detail).

G'day Andrew, is there a possible future development for Element 3D for when duplicating an object to add more variations? Perhaps, a possible plugin for changing the physical attribute of an object and not just the texture/lighting. For example with the barrels in this tutorial, to have a plugin that can create dents and cracks and orientate the object etc. to have more effect factor of the variations creating a more realistic effect.......am I just mad suggesting this? LMAO

Is there any chance of releasing / porting E3D as a render engine for 3D modelling packages such as 3ds max or C4D?
I'm sure that the CGI / VFX community would react just like H. J. Simpson (link related).

I dont think that would ever be a possibility as the workout is the opposite. Ideally you create your 3d elements in Max, or C4D and then import than over into AE so that way you can take advange of the live previews and faster render times.

Search through some of his tutorials for compositing 3ds max renders with other VFX from inside AE and you will see the workflow that works best and more importantly fastest.

If the largest part of a project is done in AE you are completely right. However both of my last projects had to be done in 3ds max as AE / E3D is just not suited to do complex 3d animation.
What I need is GPU based rendering solution which could provide the image quality comparable to the Unreal 4 game engine in about the same time. Although 3ds max has its own GPU rendering solutions (iray quicksilver) E3D would still beat them in terms quality vs. time vs. complexity.

Not by default, but you can duplicate the model inside of Element, turn every Mesh off exzept the wheel and play with it by using the aux. animation. But this is really time consuming so your right, a Car Pack with a rig control like in the jet strike pack would be helpful.
