Updating Drivers for Element 3D

Sometimes fixing bugs can take a little longer than expected and sometimes a solution just shows up!

Nvidia recently released the new10 Series graphics card and the specs are pretty insane! As always, we like to make sure our plug-ins like Element 3D runs smoothly. Sometimes we find small issues and rework the plug-in, and release an update.But a recently changed Driver was causing a more tricky case, so we have been working on it over the past week.

And of coursewe have this sweetRoofmodel pack coming out with some new tutorials so we wanted everything to besolid! Sowe were trying to figure out this Driver issueand we were about reach out tosomeof our friends at Nvidia when suddenly, they released anew Driver today that fixedthe issue! Yay!!

So thanks to Nvidia for fixing it so quickly, it's nice toknow they are continually updating drivers.

NOTE: If your Recent AMD drivers are causing any issues withElement 3D V2, we did an update about 2 weeks ago to fix some random bugs there. You can login and download all plug-in updates from the customer section.

I have hp core i7 with 16 gb ram and I've two gb nvidia graphic card model 2000 but 3d element not working smoothly even video is not rendering when I go for render some portion of video turn to black screen. Its also not giving preview at full resolution. Please any idea to fix this.

Installing is ok but i am facing problem with executing Element 3D and i have 'Nvidia Quadro M200M' graphic card in mobile workstation and latest graphic driver. Is Nvidia Qadro M2000M is compatible with Element 3D or not please help.

FREE TIP:
I have a K1100M which isn't officially suported by E3D, running AE results in my intel HD4600 getting detected as the primary OpenGL device, a dirty workaround I just discovered is to go into Device Manager and disabling the intel HD GPU, your resolution will most likely get messed up, run After Effects in this state, and when it loads, initialize Element 3D, it should detect your secondary card as primary openGL renderer, then you can simply enable intel HD from Device Manager and set your resolution back to normal.
I hope I can find a friend to make a small application that automatically performs this procedure for you.lol

My computer is a Dell Precision, 16 gb RAM, but my graphics card is a NVIDIA Quadro KM2100. Whenever I start Elements 3d, it will crash. I can´t change my graphics card since it is welded into the mainboard. I would appreciate you suggest a solution for me.

Is it any way to export OBJ from element with material ? Example create simple object , extrude , aplpy material save in Element 3d and export OBJ file and texture ?

Element 3D (The original version, not V2) no longer works with my graphics card and drivers (AMD R9 250M). Is there any plan to update the software to at least work with the new drivers.

Using Geforce GTX 1080, windows 10 pro and AE CC 2015 but Alpha mode (Add, Screen)

No official announcement of V2.5 yet. But There may be some cool new features...Stability is key so we have to work hard. Also we are not just working on one plug-in at a time...

Good idea, the futuristic city pack that the community made was very good and it would be great to have something like that again. Andrew wouldn't have to put a lot of time and effort into it either since it's made out of models by the community.

Hi all. Quick question to anyone able to offer some advice. In the above image of Element 3D, the top image of the futuristic looking room with the huge circle door and beautiful lighting... is there a tutorial to create this? or something similar. I own Element 3D and would love to be able to learn how to create something like this. Any links or ideas from anyone in this amazing community is most appreciated. Cheers.

Hi, think those are just flat textures with glow and Luminescence. The rest i'm sure you can tell, array model, copied several times and offset with awesome reflective metal textures and sweet environment lighting, not forgetting a plane

The shapes are from the Motion Design 2 pack. Optical Flares masked with world position pass (glow from inside the "hatch"). The orange light reflection could come from the Backlight Collection (turn off seen by camera so only the reflection is seen)

Appreciate all the advice. I was wondering how to actually "create this scene" or room or whatever it is. Like is there a tutorial out there that gives a step by step process to create the "room" I can't get seem to get it right.

I am thinking of getting a new desktop with a 10 series card in it so I can future proof my computer, 8 gig graphic card would blow away my little old 7870 with its 2 gig. computing has moved on so much these days, you can't help wonder what will happen next

What about the issue with E3D using 4k monitors, It's unusable due to the small interface and fonts that don't scale.
