JetStrike: Aircraft Model Pack!
August 20th, 2013

Our new model pack is touching down next month in September and here is a little poster to show you what we've been up to. The model pack has evolved during development to include detailed cockpits and fully functioning landing gear as well as a few surprises yet to come! We've really pushed the limits to make these crafts to feature quality with dual 4K textures!

There will be many tutorials for this pack as well, this is a big one!

What font is the one used on the title JET STRIKE? I really like that title and can tell it was made in Element 3D. I would like to know what font was used and if the textures used were in Pro Shaders or custom.

Hello AK my qus is that what if i want to blast a jet can i use shatter effect to break its 1 wing first and gave it a random movement and crash it on ground and then use explosion

I am truly sorry to say but I see my site visits to VCP going down, the last post was from September 10th and after that no sign of life from the crew? If AK is really ill I think one of the members could have wrote us something so we all could have give him some greetings or wishes, in that case it might be a good idea he hires a HR manager instead of a 3D artist. Anyway, I will look again in a week or so if something happened... Greetings

Hey Andrew, can't wait until this pack comes out. I'm going to buy my own personal copy of Element and was wondering if you are releasing a pack of Element 3D with Buildings AND Jets?

Or is it better to just buy the building pack now and the jets separately later?

If they sold this model pack at stores there would probably be a line around the VCP store waiting for the release of the Jet Strike pack with everyone screaming Andrew!!!!!.... lmao!!! ... its almost to the point to start taking bets on the release date!!... hello andrew, objects that touches the sole is a real problem, especially as the camera moves, using camera traker for floating objects have the feeling to return to images HDRI system shows us a tutorial a sticky ground objects in a video, if possible.

Nice to have some hight resolution models for E3D, tell me can we usqe the models on C4D and 3DSMAX, to combine the models with the fire plugins like FumeFx and Rayfire or turbulanceFD, a way to make explosions with crafts debries

Element 3D is undoubted ground breaking plugin for After Effects.

I had few thought regarding update version for Element 3D.
I am sure it must have come to you mind as well.

Could you include basic function like Squash, Stretch, Bend and Twist like stuffs or can make a tutorial for cheating such stuffs with E3D.

Can element have an option so that if an imported object is not visible or is somewhere lost in 3d world it could be brought in front of the camera with a single click.. And I have Nvidea Geforce 610 (2GB) But in 3DS MAX 2010 64bit In Rayfire PhysX option is not available?? What to do pls help?? Anyone??

I've been wanting to get the current Element 3D bundle but I'm willing to hold off if a new bundle that includes this pack comes along next month. Any plans for this? Or will the current "Ultimate 3D Bundle" remain as the largest Element 3D bundle that you're offering?

Hi uzair. No you cannot fracture objects in Element 3D.
But you can fracture objects on other 3D software and export it as an .obj file. This tutorial shows it http://www.videocopilot.net/tutorials/explosive_training/

Forgive me if this has been asked, but for future versions of Element will we be able to layer textures on top of eachother and perhaps use transfer modes?

Just thinking of ways to add distinctiveness to the models and being able to see updates in real time (which is what Element is built for!)

Hi Luciano, no this was a model I purchased from turbosquid, as was the fembot model. The only modeling I really did was for the simulation screen and room and a few smaller things. The rest was done with Element 3D Metropolitan pack and VC Optical Flares. I animated the models etc...

i have an idea. we could put our pilot in front of a green screen. and then find the right position of the jet model by the utilities options on the ELEMENT 3D and parent the pilot layer to the position that we created. that way we could have our pilot!is it Possible Andrew?is there another way?

Not likely But these crafts can easily be fractured and broken. The texture can also be edited to add burn marks and grunge. We will talk about that and destruction in the tutorials.

Awesome, thanks for the reply. Would be great for people like me who really have no experience with anything other than editing some textures to have some insight on how to do it. Especially with C4D Lite being included with AE now..would love a launching point on how to take models from Element into there and do damage etc.

I think for the Plan destruction the posted images can be a pist to make a similar scene using Rayfira and FumeFx plugins inside 3DSMax.....
But about C4D, tell me about C4D Lite, is it only included with the last AE version or its a plugin we can insert into any version.... I'm using R13 and CS6

No I don't think so, that is motion chapture. You can make like these things with 3D Max, C4D etc. But also you can import animated .obj sequences to E3D.

That's it. I know the animation could not be done in Element 3D, but importing the obj sequences just because the render a lot faster. That's what I've read about this video.

Dual Textures, you mean there are 2 Unwrapped Textures for one Model ?
Because there's a serious amount of detail in the cockpit! I love your models, because a model comes with only 1 or 2 unwrapped texture for the whole model, Andrew. Also thanks for the 4K textures. May be you can even consider the 8K textures since Element has the options for several Textures Resolution Modes. I can't even imagine the Vehicle Pack since you also focus on the animations. Before the V2, element gets better and better.

Awww...I was hoping for multiple exterior textures. This way you could use one model for both sides of the war. Is there a way to export and edit a texture so that this could be done? To maybe add battle damage or bullet holes?

You can change the textures and add decals for your army etc. That is very easy to do. Using 2 textures simply makes the image quality better by offering more resolution.

This is the one I have been waiting for!! Looking forward to the release! BTW, is there anyway to change how the links within the comments people post i.e. Youtube links will open in a new window instead of taking us away from VC. I know its as simple as right-clicking the link, but sometimes I forget. Just a request...I know you have other things to tend to.

Andrew it will be cool if there is a cockpit for green screen overlay from pilot point of view and cockpit background for green screen pilots. Imagine taking shoot of u seating on green screen chair and with little bit of E3D u are inside of jet ready for take off maybe we can put Sam as a pilot he didn't have injuries for long time

You got that pitot tube on that Fulcrum completely wrong. It's a straight aluminium rod and the socket would be conformal to the radome, not an extra tapered section.

I suspect the next major release of Element has it's own physics.Something like Particular that has gravity air etc with the difference that Element will apply them to the models.Lets say for example that u have a car that interacts with a ground plane(with bumps),then the car will have it's wheels suspending up and down.I'm i too fictious ?

Price will be similar to our other 3D model Packs! And believe me, you cannot find better quality models for less. A single model of a high quality Jet on Turbosquid is easily $300-$500...

Perfect but I wonder about something, is this the "vehicle pack" or just exclusive pack for Jets? Becouse we are waiting for vehicle pack, not only jets, also cars, maybe tanks (if available) helicopters etc. You know I saw good car, truck and helicopter models in Andrew's E3D model browser. (From the tutorials) Thanks a lot.

Yes, this pack is exclusively for Jets. Including several popular military jets, fighter jets and commercial aircraft's.

Now... how can I put this without giving away too much? These are not static models and we don't plan on releasing static vehicle packs without proper animation capabilities.

In other words... A tank model would not be that useful it the treads do not animate and therefore we are only releasing packs as we develop software to take advantage required physical functions like eventually tank treads. Jets are a natural first pack to release since they do not primarily interact with the ground like vehicles and tanks which requires specialized physics.

Hmmm, the only way to do animated tank treads in E3d is with OBJ Sequences. But that would be brutal on a GPU..... So the ONLY logical conclusion is that VC is waiting to release E3D 2.0 which will have a physics engine?!?!!!! You heard it here first folks! (okay, maybe there are other ways, but this would be the coolest).

and then open image of the bullet image in photoshop and write wat ever you want "like wanted "
