Axe, Body Spray

And I'm not talking about some old deodorant but the kinda axe that keeps you safe at night. An axe opens up a lot of possibilities, people don't mess with people that have Axes. It's a fact.

Now I have this cool axe and I need to do something with it so I'm going to call Sam and see what we can arrange. Maybe we can throw the axe at the camera or even throw a camera at the axe, I don't know!!

But whatever we do, we're going to have some fun.

Have you been watching a lot of vikings movies lately??.....Or Maybe it's that asterix and obelix cartoon.
Actually I used watch that a lot when I was a kid.

Anyways it would be nice to see a new tutorial or short movie you would make. I actually wish to see you some day with a full featured film in grand cinemas....Which actually very possible in your case....oh!! and SAM of course. that guy deserves to be on the big screen. Maybe then I would have the opportunity to work with you....who knows.

I think you should do a video of Sam getting an arm or a leg chopped off. I read somewhere above someone suggesting using 3ds max. I think this is a great opportunity to do a tutorials showing the integration of 3d cg back into live action realistically.

Andrew, you must be busy with other things because lately, I've noticed a decrease in your composting, color-wise. I know you are addicted to curves but the blood in the picture.... doesn't look like your composting work. Just looks like a quick overlay with no color correction and no match to the rest of the picture. I've seen you do much better in past tutorials.

It occurs to me that an axe is a perfect zombie crushing weapon. Several years ago I watched a "making of" Terminator 3 and thought the scenes with Arnolds face, painted chroma green, looked fun to play with. Might be fun to do some chroma work like that, where chunks of zombie flesh get chopped off. Just a thought.

Last I saw Sam, he was off running black ops missions, destroying terrorists and rescuing hostages with his barbwire cutting knife and exploding arrows. You can't just call him up... He's got important things to do, like exploding things. Besides, I bet he's already got one of those axes, under his pillow.

Throwing the axe, could make for some interesting planar tracking fun. Woohoo! Tracking! Doesn't that sound like a good time?

I suggest getting another weapon, perhaps some pieces of armor and nice outfits so you and Sam could dress up as knights and have an epic battle!
Ofcourse dismembered limbs and decapitations would have to be included.

If you need anymore weapons I have a few lying around swords, axes, maces and even a polearm. I live near a forest which would be an ideal location! just give me a shout Andrew!

Could you also demonstrate something where you have the axe or a knife of some sort get thrown into a wall with some one standing precariously close to the impact? Then you can spice it up with some time remapping or something You could show how to make the object twitch in the wall after the impact. Also I don't know exactly how much you can do in After Effects regarding sound and sound effects but I feel that sound is an essential part to any video and if you could elaborate on that sometime that would be awesome.

OR......................You can take a 1080 shot of the axe before you throw it (at Sam, Michael Bay or JJ Abrams...wait I forgot, those are your meal tickets) and use 3DS Max to make a 3D version of the axe, put it in AE, call up Particular.....I'm sure you smell what the Rock is cooking!!!!!
