Header Graphic Design
September 2nd, 2009

I just had an idea to allow the community to design the graphics for the header that could cycle through for everyone to see. It's not really a contest but I'll make a forum topic where people can post their designs and the VC staff will pick some good ones to publish. Sound good? Good.

Notes:
Must include "Video Copilot" & "Presented By: Andrew Kramer".
Looking for slick inspiring designs and color schemes.
Stay away from any humorous stuff, we want to keep it professional.
No recognizable people or products.
Have fun!

Please don't post anything just yet, I'll get the page ready so we can have them all in one place. Then I will let everyone know on the blog where to post them. Keep your PSDs just in case we have minor format adjustments.

Hey sounds great. I just want to point out that the last slogan is very similar to "Aspire today inspire tomorrow" which is already in use by "Aspire Academy for Sports Excellence Qatar".
Don't know if this is a problem, just don't want you to run into any legal issues here.

Oh yeah, make a reward, like a free DVD of our choice of something like that. Or is the reward bragging rites.
P.S.: Do we get credit for our work? If so I would really like mine to win! You are amazing!
P.P.S.: Do you use Adobe Dreamweaver to make the site?

I just finished mine!
It is basicly like the original but with a tagline, more color, and some other cool added elements. I added some vinettes, some soft shadows, and reflections.
Also, I thought fire would be cool so I added some to the shot to make it more alive.
P.S.: do we have to make it a still frame, or can we make it animate?

Other thing i noticed in u Mr.Kramer,is that u make a deep search for cool FONTS!!!HAHAHA!!!I bet u've bought a fonts-bundle from 1001fonts.com!!!!

PNG is a better choice for webdesign.
The quality is better and it has a better compression than jpeg.

hey there Andrew....
I've been a regular for a year now and really appriciate the hard work you've been putting into this site for all of us... I decided to spread the word over here in Israel and have posted about you in this other blog that deals with design you can look it up here: http://www.hamazleg.co.il/
the guy who runs it is Ronen Berliner, and he's doing an excellent job collecting design tidbits and posting about them.
it's in Hebrew, but yours is the second post from the top.
It's the minimum I can do, and I'll make sure to pass the word to other blogs as much as I can....
