Daughter number two is here!
September 25th, 2009

Well my other top secret project is out :) This morning my wife and I greeted our new daughter Emily Jordan Kramer at 12:12 am. Weighing in at 6 pounds 11 ounces she is sweet and healthy. I'll keep you posted.

Wow, I've never seen so many comments! Thanks everyone for your kind words, I'll try to get a picture up soon. I'm at the office today for a bit and I'm going to try and squeeze in a tutorial too. All the Best!

You realize, Andrew, your profession opens you up to a lot of work-related humor. Things like "Andrew Kramer on Parenthood - Creating a new Solid", or "Life Begins at Precomposition"....you get the idea. (Something for your T-Shirts maybe...)

L'chaim, long life, health and happiness to you, Mrs Kramer and all the little Kramers, present and future.

Hello Andrew and greetings from Romania. I just wanted to congratulate you on your second daughter. I'm about the become a girl father myself on early december so I am very excited about it.
I have to say that I've learned tons from your website and wish you and your family all the best.
I'm more like a 3D artist than compositor, but I really love AE myself.
Here's a short animation I did, just for you to see what my skills are:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cZCZxsZMuao&fmt=22

Still have lots to learn and videocopilot is the best AE tutorial source ever. Keep up what you're doing, 'cause you and your team are the best.

Some advice from a grandpa: Schedule time for your wife and child(ren)-- give their time priority over the rest of your schedule. Time passes much more quickly than you can ever imagine at your age. The older you get the faster it moves (I'm at the stage where 10-year chunks fly by!) You don't get another chance to do life over, and looking back, time devoted to your family is the one thing you will always wish you had done more of. I wish you all the best in your life. I am profoundly grateful for the quality tutorials you have given us (even if you say that you did it to give us AE proficiency in order that we may then lust after your products). Brilliant all around! Thanks, Andrew!

Glad to hear it though.

Keep up the tuts. You know, I'm normally against posting comments, especially 'I love you' comments, but you really are awesome. So there I said it, ok, nothing wrong with a man praising another man... it's like, super manly, like football players or something.

Keep up the good work.

Congratulations my friend, remember:

Congrats Bro! Boy, a new studio, a new kid, what's up with that?????

You better watch out though. It sounds like the girls outnumber the boys in that house. You better slow down on the "other" extracurricular activities and stick to doing more tutorials! It's much safer that way.

Congratulations to both from Argentina, Im Rodrigo, and I'm teacher of Animations and post-productions and 3D max. to all my students I tell them that they visit your web site, videocopilot is my favorite web. CONGRATULATIONS AGAIN, and send us some picture if you want, of course !!!!!!

Awesome news Andrew!

Remember to always depend on God to help you be the kind of father that your kids are definitely going to need in this fallen world. He will never fail you!
Tenji

now you can use your effects skills in the way god intended when he created after effects... to trick your kids showing them vids with they parents talking to santa Clous so they will never ever suspect till they are at least 15 (?)

Sorry, carried away on irrational thoughts... congratulations Andrew.

One more thing (to put on your future tutorial calendar, if you wouldnt mind), the 3D cutout tutorial that you had done (Virtual 3D Photos), There is a process that CW Kids uses to do pop-up type 3D MG on their promos between shows (Saturdays 8-12p [Eastern] & Pacific too I guess). I really would appreciate (and I am sure the rest of the VC universe would also), a thorough tutorial on how the effect is actually done. I used the Tito tut with my own elements and tried to move the camera to various degrees, as well as using different apertures but didnt seem to get it. Your help will be most appreciated. Now go feed Emily, your wife needs a break!!

@cookiedough: This is Andrew's business, his site, his tutorials and his blog. If you don't like the way he does things, go somewhere else. Jesus! You're getting all this for free and you're still moaning because you don't like Andrew's sense of humour? Maybe you're agoraphobic or anti-social and so such things are disturbing for you. If so, I really do feel sorry for you. Maybe you should get a puppy, call it frank. Teach it fetch, take it for walks, have some candle lit dinners with him, dress him up in clothes and take him to meet your parents. It probably won't help your personality disorder, but it'll give you something to do other than moaning.

The best way to learn is when you're actually enjoying what you're being taught. Andrew's jokes and sense of humour keep his tutorials fresh and interesting. If you just want instructions with no personality or humanity, pay some money for a book and you can read how to get from A-B-C without having to worry about getting distracted by things like humour or personality.

Well done Andrew, very happy for you.

Hi!

Congratulations Mr. Kramer

I guess you're so, so (damn, really) good at this because of, in part, those sleepless nights.

So I guess you just can improve yourself from now on

And... I suppose that's the traditional way to "create a new solid", isn't it?

Yep, we Galicians (north-west Spain) may have an awkward sense of humour too O

Take care!

Happy birthday Emily Jordan Kramer!

You are in good company (besides your parents!) - my twins will always celebrate their birthday on the same day.

Congratulations to the proud and meanwhile hopefully relaxed parents as well.

Different, well, actually not quite, topic:
Have been bothering about the unusal quiteness in the VC-Blog...

By the way - please create a downloadable artwork for 'selfmade' VC-supporter shirts - better make it a contest! Let your fans do the work, you might soon be be fatigued (I hope not...).
I guess everyone who frequently drops in to your site would be proud to show of with one. That would be great and spread the business w/o costs for you.
NOW you will need every dollar (euro, sloti, denar, what the heck about currencies!) for your new little girl.
And as it has already been said:
Don't forget the greater sister!

Best wishes from Germany again.
