Ya they are OBJs and FBX files that will work great in all 3D programs! We appreciate all of our Element 3D customers but we try to make these free models useful people even if you don’t own our Plug-in!

It would be great if all out Element purchases were able to be used in other programs for customization. Right now it is very limited and too “pre-set” for everyone and every situation.
How can I use some models in 3D programs… I cant find the .obj files….
It’s just .epack file… Help .. ;(
@ Jovica, that was the point of my comment. As a professional I need to have full control over the models. I have run into a few jobs already that the Element 3d model I paid for was 90% of what I needed, yet completely useless because I could not customize the model with what the job calls for.
The OBJs are usually a seperate download…

The additional 3d files for all the models packs are in your download section under the title “Alternate 3D Formats (Not required)”. Once you download these files you will be able to re-texture them inside of the 3D application you are using. Hi Hamza, Thanks for the compliment. I cannot take too much credit as I merely incorporated the greatness bestowed by websites like Video CoPilot and VideoHive.
I’m just learning After Effects so I’m doing tutorials, buying a few key plugins (Element 3D) and I also nabbed a couple of sample projects. The card anims were purchased from VideoHive’s “Playing Cards”; “Card Drop”; “HD Curtain”; and “Horror Trailer” projects.
Generally speaking, I learn best by reverse engineering and watching tutorials. Then I can apply that knowledge to my own projects and ideas. Also, it really speeds things up and we had a deadline to meet.

Ya really understand that thing when the client want the thing on time with perfection…:D .But one must not leave its learning any how .I am also learning and get in inspired by various thing daily .Try to recreate that thing which is most challenging . there is a great Rhyme ” ONE CAN DO .Then OTHER CAN ALSO DO” SO keep it up todd and GUD LUCK

Hi .. I have created my next FREE 3D MODEL “FLAT TV”. The model is done with 3D Studio Max. The ZIP file includes .OBJ and .E3D models only.
You can easily use the original materials from ELEMENT 3D. To change the screen image, create a new HD COMP (1280×720) and define that as your own CUSTOM TEXTURE MAP in your ELEMENT 3D settings .. Feel free to download and use .. Hope you will like it .. Cheers !

Take a look at this FRESH & FREE 3D MODEL called “The Hall” .. This time the the ZIP package contains .OBJ + .E3D files and also TEXTURES/MAPS .. You can import those maps into your AE Project as a CUSTOM TEXTURE MAP and create your own stil or animated map comps .. hope you will like it .. Cheers !

I’m rolling out (slowly) a site with sculpted 3D models created in Pixologic’s Sculptris. Right now I’m working on zombies. ‘Cause.. Well.. I like to make zombies.. Any way, they’re free (untextured- so you’ll have to do SOME work) Exported as OBJ models with Element 3D in mind- but I also included the SC1 file so you can play around with the models and build on them in Sculptris (you should- it’s free).
Hope you all enjoy- and Thanks to the VC team for the amazing work on Element 3D, I can’t wait to get a little more use out of it once I have more models finished!
You should fix these Bugs Of Element Andrew Please
1.When we rotate the camera right to left it rotate normal but when we rotate up and down to see a objects in comp it doesnt fully rotate. It flip. why is this hapening ? In E3D interfeace both (up&down/left&right rotation are working. But not in comp with a camera.
2.How can we collide the 3d objects together using E3D ? Is there any expression ; if there is you should make tutorial for it or you should fix this on PlugIn.
3.Put more groups like minnimum 10 that we can put more object in single element layer.
4.We cannot zoom as much we want to see models every corner and detalis as we can see in 3D pROGRAMS. Why is that
5.There should be one more option for custom layout that we can edit and save because everytime i open element i have to place them again as my suitable areas. And its time taken to do that again and again.
6.Can you make water materials for proshader ? How can we do it.
7.Can we make our own texture image for shader/material and and it can be saved in
I’m not sure any of these points are “bugs” but here are some tips. We are working on a few actual bugs that should be released in a new update next month.
1. The camera flips is normal, try setting your AE camera orient type to a 1 node camera.
2. Collisions are not currently possible, just like a normal 3D program objects can intersect in 3D space.
3. We could add more groups but that may require higher GPU requirements. One suggestions is to use multiple copies of Element.
4. The 3D zoom Preview could be increased a little bit more.
5. Element should remember your last UI Layout.
6. There are a few liquid shaders for water in the Pro Shaders.
7. You can right click on a shader and choose save as Material Preset.

I guess its violation or something. IDK. there must be rule of they removed it.
If the OBJ files will be included in the download, can’t you import them into after effects and composite with them that? I would love to have element or a 3D program on the computer here at work, but convincing management to shell out for these expenses in difficult.
And I was recently tasked with creating a Halloween themed show open in AE, so you can imagine my relief when I saw this free model pack that came out. So, is it possible for me to use these models without having either a 3D program or element, just by importing them?
It’s not a question of getting a 3D appplication. I would have to run that through the IT department, who would submit the request to my manager, who would question the download, and its safety and its usefulness vs. taking up comany resources and such. Basically, I’m asking, can I use this straight into after effects? That’s all I need to know.
To answer your question, no, I don’t think so.
Well if you have Photoshop though, I guess you could open the OBJ in there and then use the Live connection to After Effects?

Here is one other problem Andrew That i am facing.
I tried to mix your “Element 3D Environment Tips” Tutorial And “3D Truck composite” Tutorial.
I had my chopper in 1st group ; plane with matte shadow in group 2 ; Enviornoment sphere layer in group 3.
Problems I am facing:
1.Even if i did everything right the plane (matts shadow) Layer is showing white.
2.If i make 2 element layers and place my Chopper and envirnoment layer on 1st and and place plane on second Emnt layer beneath the main element layer still it show that surface.
*Perfect shadow is coming. But the matte plane is there as white surface..
