This tutorial looks great but when I make the layer 3D I lose the animate blur function.

Hi
In the version you show at the start of the tutorial, the glass is kinda flickering or the vignette is expanding or contracting, I can't decide.
It looks really cool and adds something.
What did you do to achieve this? just opacity keyframes?

All the best

I just keyframed the black solid to wiggle up and down by about 5-10% every quarter of a second (Or to whatever your taste is) and I got a similar result, but it doesn't look nearly as good as his, so I'm assuming he did something different.

I am wanting to do this effect but instead of on a text layer I want to apply it to a vector logo? what would be the best technique to do this?

Instead of adding a text layer, just import the image to the project and use that in the same spot the text would be in.
