Hey,
I'm stuck at the beginning. How do you animate the text?
I clicked the Scale Animation and added the Opacity and Blur Property but nothing moves or is being animated??

I was doing fine until I had to change the Flare mode to Add... I can't see the Mode option on that latyer there, and also can't see it on the MY MOVIE layer :S help!

Hi Andrew its Andrew. At the beginning of this tutorial there is the zoom out of the horizon with www.videocopilot.net text. Looks cool! Would you happen to have a project or tutorial that shows how to create the background and zoom out like that? Many thanks!

Thank you so much for taking the initiative and putting this awesomeness online. I am in school currently and I cannot learn quick enough. You have helped fill the void.
I do have one question that seems to be escaping me. I am using Creative Cloud and when I do everything my flare does not dissolve, disappear, or anything. Looking at your tutorial here it looks like you aren't doing anything different yet your flare is gone at the end. Mine isn't.
2 second video with animation on first second but end of flar stays on screen for a whole second. It looks like crap. Is there a step I missed? I feel I have gone through this like 10 times now.

I have tried to download the movie and when I try to extract it says the file is invalid. I have downloaded others with no problems. I like to work along with your tute so that I can get it right without using extra bandwidth

Hi everybody! great tutotrial but in the preview i had noticed that the text have an effect that feel the sensation to move background but the tutorial doesn´t show how to achieve this effect, someone could help me with this, thanks a lot

Hey Andrew, I'm going through these tutorials with After Effects CS6 and I can't seem to find Easy Ease for the Lens Flare Settings. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Top notch stuff. Added a luma key in Premiere to kill the black, but keep the flare and make the lower third I was looking for. Keep up the great work.
BTW, is there a better way to kill the black and overlay the title? Works well enough as is. but I see a slight change in brightness. Just wondering..

What if I want this reversed? Instead of the letters coming from left to right, they come from right to left (going with the same way as the lens flare)

Andrew Thanks soooooo much for this you saved me with a project that NEEDED an epic intro
I used the bold stripe optical flare from the optical flares plugin from you guys and used an epic looking text and It added a really nice touch

That was really great, never though that you could create so much with just text animation settings. I now understand a little bit more on how to use Blending and Masking technique to improve appearance of the my animation. Thanks Andrew.

Jeez man, I think this is the easiest tutorial you've done, well out of the ones I tried. It was pretty simple after you remember what to do, but my friends were amazed at what I did. I also spiced the flare up a little by getting Pro Presets 2.

Sorry, but i cant seem to find an elliptical mask took on my panel. Ive tried different workspaces and the circle icon doesnt show.

Hoje, abri uma empresa de Edição de VÃdeos Institucionais. Onde faço vinhetas para outras empresa, como supermercados e etc. Resumindo, estou muito grato por conseguir isso.

In answer to Jay's question about making the letters appear in revers just change the animation shape to ramp up and invert your range offset so it starts at -100% and ends on 100%

Hey Tom, right click on one of the columns "Layer Name" for example. Choose Columns and click on modes.

That was a great tutorial. But on mine i can't find where to change the mode of the black solid (the one with the lens flare) to add. Mine doesnt have the modes where yours is? Where are they? PLZ HELP ME!!!!!!!ops:

heyy i have a question when your making the ellipse i noticed on your tutorial u click on the ellipse button but i have adobe after effects 7 profesional and i dont see any elipse button on top what can i do?

In this tutorial the MY MOVIE comes in from right to left. So first the E, then I, V, O, etc. What I'd like to do is to animate it from left to right. So first the M, Y, M, O, etc will be gradually visible. And for the life of me I can't figure it out. Could anyone help me please! Thank you!
