Hi! I am just now finding these tutorials and going through them, and I've been trying to download the Project File for 3 days and it just downloads a 0k empty 124.zip, where it seems there is a problem with the file. I've been successful in downloading most of the other ones I wanted to learn and I *really* wanted to work on this; if anyone is still seeing these comments, I'd be so grateful for any help on this! I had to take a health break from doing professional motion GFX and am now kind of "re-learning" AFX and all the new features and you guys' site has been a HUGE help, so I am hoping this project file is still around somewhere. (I have been getting server errors trying to watch/play the video on this tut also, if that helps.) Thank you!

I've been watching your tutorials for a few years now, and I want to say thanks a bunch for doing these. VCP is mostly how I started learning AE, and continues to teach me. Tomorrow marks my first year in LA, during which I've made a living doing VFX for TV and freelance on the side. Good times.

I have to tell you are a great professional, but you did so many things in this tutorial (wich are amazingly well done) but you just edit 20 frames of movie in almost 15 minutes...

A quick tip:
Add Glow to the particle footage. Lower the Threshold and up the radius. This will help blend those effects better with the footage.
Also, Andrew, will you eventually put a tutorial as to how you did that 3d tracking in this video?

I've watched all your tutorials (as I'm sure most of your students/fans have). Right from the very first basic tutorials up to this one. And well... I'm not really happy to be honest (I feel like I should apologise)
Your tutorials have taught the after effects community knowledge and insight into various techniques which were previously reserved for premium rates. They started off simple, and over time became more complex, and more insightful. They have been my rock as I've progressed from complete novice with no knowledge of after effects at all, into an experienced user capable of utilising any of the techniques you have taught me to create motion graphics and vfx overlays.
But this tutorial... Taught me nothing.. It felt like a step backwards in your chain of ongoing enlightenment.
I think that maybe the majority of the video copilot 'students' would agree with me.
I must admit, that you have balanced the Universe with the 1080p footage giveaway, so... +1

I absolutely appreciate this tutorial, putting up the free stock footage makes this a very convincing, and easy effect. Is there any chance of doing a quick tutorial on the energy balls in the future, for now, I'm probably going to use the energy orbs in one of your other tutorials. Thanks for everything!
