First tip:
At the time this probaly doesn't exist in AE, but today you can just click with the right mouse button in the postion parameter and select "Separate Dimentions".
You don't need the effect "Separte XYZ Position" anymore.

Second tip:
You don't need to add "amount=effect("amount&quot

("Slider&quot

" in the expression section. Just highlight the "200" parameter in wiggle expression, take the "pickwip" (sorry, I'm not a english native and I didn't understand the exact word here) from the expression and link it directly to the Slider of "Amount". Don't forget to add an extra parentheses.

Great Tutorials - doing them all in a row for a long time now. Thank you. Just a comment on the intro music to this one - Almost blew my ear out, it is still ringing! Your previous tutorial is not as loud so I had it turned way up to catch everything. Again, thank you for all the great information. Good teaching style too.

its sad for me cause my PC sucks!! and when i use other effects my AE start to slow like a turtle

PLEASE HELP! got the same problem as chris...the "separate XYZ position" preset doesnt work as it should..
when i add it there is no such a long expression as in the video, in fact no expression is added!
please tell me whats wrong cause im stuck!

When i add the seperate XYZ effect nothing is added to the expression of my position except "transform.position." Certainly not that super long line which i see in the video.

Any idea what is going wrong?
