Here is a glimpse at some of our upcoming tutorials. First creating a nature scene using a few plant images surrounding a procedural rocky title. Watch Sample Video.

Then Sam Loya is running from a train that is repeated into the distance during a camera pan.

Recent Work: Fringe Fight the Future

So much has been going on lately! Returned from a fun and exciting show at NAB 2012, the new After Effects CS6 has been announced and I've also finished some new title work.

This new title sequence is certainly inspired by the original one I created over 4 years ago and was meant to feature the alternate future represented in the episode.

I've added some breakdowns for the work that was involved in the title as well! Plus there may be something interesting in the last credit...

Since I'm talking about intros, I also had the opportunity to create the opening title for the CBS show Person of Interest too. Watch That here.

See you there!

New Tutorial: Mid-Air Emergency!

In this new tutorial we'll composite the interior of an airplane as the wing bursts into flames. We'll cover green screen keying, 3D tracking with Camera Tracker, particles and compositing live action elements. I've also included a dropping Oxygen mask in the project file for people that want to add an extra layer!

Free AE Project: Layer Styles

UPDATED: CS3 project file is now available

If you are trying to make sense of the words above... have at it! Actually they are various layer styles in today's free Project File.

Since they added Photoshop layer styles to After Effects, I pretty much never used it but I recently decided to spend a little time creating some clean titles to share with everyone here. I've even recorded a short tutorial to show you how to edit the project file along with some tips for customizing and adding textures. I'll be on soon with more tutorial so until then... Enjoy!
