Earlier this year I had the chance to work on 10 Cloverfield lane, on this horrifying matte painting and composite. Manyimage-searches for road kill have scarred my mind! As always it was a pleasure to work withDan Trachtenberg.

I was pretty sure the spaceship render and animation were your thing there, using Element 3D. Was I wrong?

Really? Well, I find it so inspirational. Keep in mind that you too, as a compositor, could be asked to do whathever, including gore stuff

Fair point Daniel. I don?t disagree however I simply don?t like this and hope that this is not the direction that VC will be going down in the future.

I am blown away by the details, Usually I can breakdown scenes just by looking at them, and seeing how they were composited in my mind, but this.. If you didn't say it was CGI, I would never known the amount of detail is just so amazing. I would love if you could show a bit of breakdown.
