NEW TUTORIAL: Energetic Titles

In this EXTRA LONG tutorial you'll learn to animate the camera using the new Sure Target preset as well as create an impressive 3D title design.

The Sure Target preset is available inside the project file and includes versions for English, French & German. If you know how translate expressions and save presets in another language, please send us the file; we'd love to share it with the community.

This preset is awesome! I just did a job in about 12 hours that normally would have taken me 3 times as long. It is so easy to use. I can't believe that you give stuff like this away for free. Well, it only compels me to buy more of your products. Good marketing

Great tutorial. This preset will be extremely useful; I can tell already. Thanks, Andrew. Although, I would like to know how some of the additional elements were created that are in your example. Looks like some additional lights were thrown in.

This show helps to speed up alot of things!
btw, I just came back from watching the movie "my bloody Valentine 3-D" and I spot "the bullet" technique is used in one of the scenes.
Its great to know that the VC community is growing big and representing world-wide =]

This tool is definitely a great investment with the 3rd payment being free.

In the sample video, what music is playing? Is that something from one of the Sound DVD's you have?

Will Sure Target work in AE 7.0? This preset reminds me of the behaviors in Motion. Very cool indeed.

OK Andrew thanks for answer so quick dude! but I won't post it because I don't need this for some work to do or something, heck, I don't even work in the area, it was a little experiment for you as the creator of the two preset and if you considered it worth to investigate, but I'm cool now, the answer is: they can not work together right now, until the code of falloff is changed to work with the null instead of the camera. Cool man!

The positive thing is that I was right in my thinking about what was the problem , and that is so much for somebody that is not a serious Fx dude like you . Cheers pal, see you next time and thanks again for answer. Bye.

Well the expression needs to be modified to consider the Null instead of the camera. Try posting in the expressions forum. It's not a yes or no question

Ok now I will post here my question, because I see that Andrew has answered here some post of other people. From yesterday I put in the tutorial page of suretarget a question (and a little experiment) to Andrew but I think he didn't saw that. Ok here it is directly as I posted in the Tutorial page:

Ok I'm trying the experiment now, and the falloff respond but not completely well, or at least no for me LOL... It make fall off the layers but they don't interact dinamically with the null object who have SureTarget applied, my humble opinion is because they share the same camera in the code and After Effects can't guess what to do exactly because he is reading both commands but separately not as a one interacting group, I don't know if I make my point, sorry english is not my natural lenguage.

Today: I'm done, I can't make this work together. If I put one to work correctly when I mix the other, the composition is screwed up. I triple checked every time, and every time I get the same result.

Hi everyone,

Amazing, Most longest Tutorial,

I liked Creating the Elements for the promo eg; Blocks, Animated line using the wiggle Expression, changing the color over time using Adjustment layer.

*** Sure Target in Dutch ***
I opened up the SureTarget file in a WordPad to translate it in Dutch for you but if I replace all the English for the Dutch I'm not sure if it's gonna still work but because of the program language but because there are just a few words to replace I'm giving them to you.

Layer = Laag / Amount = Hoeveelheid / Speed = Snelheid / Slider = Schuif / Value = Waarde / Position = Positie / Group = Groep / Sure Target = Zeker Doel

I thought u used the shatter trick to do the 3d txt effect, but this works too lol. Nice tutorial, excellent preset (by far my favourite free one) keep up the good work

I've been here since the start. This tutorial pulled a lot of things together for me and I really appreciate it. It's just a matter of persistence to learn AE. I've stuck with Premiere for everything, but I'm finally venturing into AE with a little confidence. Mainly, thank of Andrew...and Sam.
