March 26th, 2013 @ 7:28 am
Hey Andrew!
I would be very exited if the next Version of Element would come up with a real Particel System that is really imitting Particels (so 3d Obejcts) and not just creating them in the First Frame.Something like Particular just with 3d Obejcts!
That would be SO AWSOME!

hi Andrew,

Noticed very nice env map on the red "blocks" (also on the dominoes).
On top of that what reflection is in the editor it's also in the AE viewport after....
So, that new ENV map is a part of the version 1.6 ?

BTW. CANT WAIT FOR THE UPDATE !!!!, checking vcp website 3 times a day :)

Any chance we're getting a Create World Null option? I'm unbelieveably excited for the null tools in this, saves me from writing lots of code.

It would be nice if there was a layer selector to link a group to an existing Null.

Every update is something unbelievably good. AK I think it is time, time for You and VC to make your own video editing stand alone programs and show the big sharks ( Nuke, Adobe and the rest of them ) how is done.

I just installed and the Mac patch did not work, the plug-in is not in the folder. I use the full installer with no problem. Great work.

Thanks AK and team. Patch installed successfully. Hopefully this will also fix some minor bugs I had on the last project. I have to say that support for this product has been fantastic. You have really helped me get some jobs done quickly and easily!

Three things:

1. Everything looks amazing, but I think my favorite addition is putting the group number in front of the animation property! So now when I punch 'U' I can tell which group's effect I am fiddling with.

2. I would pay cash money for the landscape folder you have in your model bin.

3. There was that mysterious "Live Camera" effect again that we've seen in passing on other videos. Will that ever be a public preset, or is it just a Kramer workflow upgrade? I just want to know what it does! Maybe an instant camera shake preset? Who knows...

But I love all the additions to Element, keep up the good work, gentlemen!
    March 26th, 2013 @ 4:22 pm
Ya! That is very handy for me too!

All of a sudden I'm in love with Nulls
If I have any fear of nulls it's just been nullified

What you gonna do when you turn on AE
I'm gonna make some nulls
What do you consider nulls
Nulls Element3D Nulls
March 28th, 2013 @ 9:24 am
Hello Andrew as I look at you training and all that you are doing I can't help but to think wow you have made such a positive impact on the world that your children can grow up being very proud of who and what their father has done for so many! This does not relate to the post but I just wanted to say thank you very much for taking the stand that you have.

Wouldn't it best to just duplicate a 3D model change the orientation of Y axis and use one as reflection. Instead of duplicating the element 3D layer.

How did you get the Jet fighter to look so real!! Also the plane, all of your 3d models look so good from the 3d model packs. I download or creat mine and they look fine in c4d but than can't compare to yours in element. Should I be adding more packs or textures? Please Direct me to a tutorial or something, thanks sorry if I sound whiny

Its just keep getting better and better, but if you get to put FBX into the element OMG!!! to the infinite and Beyond!!!!
May 11th, 2013 @ 12:49 pm
I just purchase element 3D 1.6. the new features pushed me more to buying it. It's all good so far except the problem with the new generating NULL for which I bought it seem to have a little problem. It does not stick on the object. It only seem to stay on the object when you are using the camera. However, when you rotate the object inside element 3D, the NULL does not rotate with it. Are you guys thinking off working on that or is it something that I'm missing.
    sowmi
    April 13th, 2014 @ 11:36 am
i have the same problem ... did u get a solution to this problem ?
Nesha
August 18th, 2013 @ 7:24 am
No, it seems that generated 3D Null doesn't follow specific part of an object in a object sequence. It just stays on position initially generated. When object moves it just lingers there. Any solution for this?

Can anyone explain how to achieve the terrain flyovers such as the "zooming over the water" look seen in the video? Are these stock cg flyovers done out of Vue, composited terrain elements made with displacement maps and rendered out of Max, or are swiftly moving ground elements something that can be done natively in AE?

I would LOVE to learn a workflow on how to do this effectively and make it look realistic! Thanks!
