New Tutorial: Simulated Scopes!

Wow, this post is long! In this new tutorial we'll take a look at creating various simulated scenes such as a Camera POV, sniper scope and even night vision. The tutorial also includes a project with 13 templates ready to mix and match plus 9 REAL lens textures to build your own.

And yes some of the templates include chromatic aberration using the channel blur.

Hi Mr. Kramer- After 50+ years in the automotive industry, with a brief, but enjoyable, few years in the 80's producing training videos and animation, I am getting back into video. Your tutorials are extremely helpful (and Fun). I purchased your Action Essential 2 package which is fantastic.I do have a request. It would help me, and I know many others, if you could explain more about pre-compositing during your tutorials. Why you are pre-composing, what layers should be included (Cameras, lights etc.), what order the pre-comp should be put in the main comp, etc.

Every time I try to open the "POV_Elements" Project. I get this message:

After Effects Error: The file you are attempting to open was created with Adobe After Effects version 10.0.2 (unknown) and cannot be opened in this version. See www.adobe.com/aftereffects for information on upgrading your software.

I'm using After Effects CS4. I hope you could give a project file compatible with older versions. Thanks Alot!

Hey, what's up!
Nice tutorial, as always. Why don't you have all of them resumed? (I know there's a site where are posted all tutorials, but there're some tutorials, like the last one about the helicopter, that didn't appear there!)

Get right to the point: Andrew Kramer, can you do an advanced keying tutorial? I know you did one long time ago, but it's quite... Old, don't you think? It doesn't explain all "the game".
