Element 3D: Update!

UPDATE: Now Available

It’s true, I’ve been holding out on you and it’s killing me too!! I decided to develop a few (and by “few” I mean awesome) additional features for Element 3D that were not originally planned but are well worth it. Like this 3D shading effect that adds real depth to each object. I want this plug-in to go BEYOND your expectations as it has already surpassed mine.

The above image was created entirely with Element 3D (screenshot), taking advantage of the impressive render speeds and powerful shading engine. This is an robust system that mimics many attributes of a true Global Illumination render engine at a fraction of the time.

I’m pleased to tell you that the graphics card requirements have NOT changed from our original expectations so even decent cards from the last couple of years will work great. We recommend at least a 512 MB of vRam using an Nvidia or ATI graphics cards but a 1GB card will allow greater flexibility.

Thank you for your patience and please stay tuned for official updates and in-depth demonstrations of new features. Believe me, there are some big surprises ahead… I can’t tell you everything YET. Even though I really want to…

Long time no see,Man,I miss you so much,May I ask,What have you done Lately?
    October 7th, 2011 @ 5:38 pm
Actually since you are asking, I have been working on Element and I recently created the Main Title intro for the new CBS show called Person of Interest. It's a pretty cool show too check it out!
    October 7th, 2011 @ 5:41 pm
The Person of Interest intro is awesome! Was watching it over and over the other day!
    October 7th, 2011 @ 6:54 pm
I had a feeling that was you. There is a lot of motion tracking. Good job!
    October 8th, 2011 @ 12:32 am
same here first i saw its a JJ production so i was thinking Videocopilot may be work again with him. and i was right the opening have your style!

    Element 5D
    October 8th, 2011 @ 1:23 am
WICKED! I didn't know what the Person Of Interest was before, but now that I read these comments I checked it out and that intro was totally WCKED!!! Man you gotta do a tutorial on that...please...;)
    October 8th, 2011 @ 4:15 am
Hey Andrew, I wanted to tell and ask the same thing which 'sing' just told and asked.
Watched 'Person of Interest' intro, it is fentastic, feels like JJ will never let anyone to make his intros except you.
    October 8th, 2011 @ 6:27 am
Hello Andrew, I watched the Person of Interest intro, very nice. I was wondering what did you use for the glitch video effect. Is it the glitchmob that available on aescripts ?

Take care, and eagerly waiting for this one :)
    October 10th, 2011 @ 2:08 am
i dont know why but i feel like i saw Andrew in this intro...with a gun and hat...
    October 12th, 2011 @ 3:02 pm
I said to my girlfriend the second I saw the intro to Person of Interest, that's be done in AE. Did you use Plexus and dataglitch plug-ins too as part of that or just Video Co-pilot ones?
October 7th, 2011 @ 4:35 pm
amazing.can we use HDRIs with this elements?
    October 7th, 2011 @ 5:38 pm
You can use spherical maps to affect the reflection and refraction and they can be HDR images too.
October 7th, 2011 @ 4:40 pm
when it leaves?
October 7th, 2011 @ 4:43 pm
You have shamed the gods. Now go make something better than nuke and prove to us how awesome thy are.
October 7th, 2011 @ 4:46 pm
I was just wondering what you've been up too a few hours ago. Glad to see your keeping busy (although I never doubted you were)and thanks for updating us and simultaneously blowing our minds. I think its probably a good thing your helping ease us into the features of Element. I'm not sure I could handle myself if you dropped everything at once!
October 7th, 2011 @ 4:46 pm
This beyond amazing. I use 3ds max for titles a lot and this looks like its going save me a hole bunch of time and make me look really really talented.

I'll give you my credit card number now...just charge what you want.
October 7th, 2011 @ 4:47 pm
Is there a release date/window planned? Because I'm daily visiting this site and hoping for the release of this plug in :)
Scott Edington
October 7th, 2011 @ 4:48 pm

    October 7th, 2011 @ 7:18 pm

October 7th, 2011 @ 4:51 pm
I cant wait until Element comes out its sooo, ahhhh sexy
October 7th, 2011 @ 4:55 pm
wow dude cant wait!! looks so awesome! can they collide?
    October 8th, 2011 @ 5:38 am
The world of After Effects & the world of 3D are about to collide.
AND when worlds collide said George Pal to his bride, "I'm gonna give you some terrible thrills," Like a... science fiction double feature... brought to you by Andrew Kramer and Video Copilot... coming to you in time for Christmas 2011!!
October 7th, 2011 @ 4:58 pm
Amazing! this is crazy!
October 7th, 2011 @ 5:00 pm
    October 9th, 2011 @ 10:17 am
    @jing - I Agree!!!
October 7th, 2011 @ 5:05 pm
Wow this looks super exciting!

How many people do you have on your team developing this?
Are you using the GPU?
    October 7th, 2011 @ 6:07 pm
Um, I meant how are you using the gpu in earlier versions of AE like CS3?
October 7th, 2011 @ 5:11 pm
Render looks a bit grainy. Dont get me wrong - I like it! But does it come from the raytracing or did you use "ad grain" to it ?
    October 7th, 2011 @ 6:14 pm
It is a post effect the renders are actually TOO clean.
Ashley Brown
October 7th, 2011 @ 5:13 pm
Does element allow you to model in any extent?
    October 7th, 2011 @ 6:14 pm
No. But you can extrude... things.
    Ashley Brown
    October 8th, 2011 @ 3:10 am
Will this be a free plugin?
    Andreas Zinonos
    October 8th, 2011 @ 5:37 am
No, it will not be free.
    October 8th, 2011 @ 1:49 pm
Ashley, ftw?? It's Giant 3D Render System as 3d max!! Of course free!! *sarcasm*
    October 11th, 2011 @ 9:11 am
since you can extrude things.is it a bit like the way 3d works in solid works.
    August 31st, 2013 @ 7:25 am
you can't model every thing in Element , but one of the great benefits is you can import 3d files from C4D and 3DS MAX , And there thousands of 3D files that you can download online and use it , also Element have Amazing 3D pack , so .. nothing can hold you back :)
October 7th, 2011 @ 5:21 pm
i have AE CS5.5 ......... i hope it works with it.....
    October 8th, 2011 @ 2:48 pm
    Of course it will...

    - Spencer
    October 8th, 2011 @ 5:17 pm
    i'm not sure.......andrew didn't mention that
    Darren Manden
    October 10th, 2011 @ 2:16 pm
I don't think you have to worry about that. Though it would be hilarious if they decided to mess with everyone and make it AE7 only :-P
Justin Kuhn
October 7th, 2011 @ 5:26 pm
You're a magnificent bastard Andrew Kramer. (insert uncomfortable TMI declaration here)
October 7th, 2011 @ 5:35 pm
looks fantastic! cannot wait to purchase this awesome plugin.. will save soo much time!
October 7th, 2011 @ 5:41 pm
Wow Andrew so we can now basically create real 3d text with extrusion in AE?
October 7th, 2011 @ 5:49 pm
This looks AWESOME! can't wait to buy it, but will it be able to do any type of basic fluid simulations, or maybe create some falling water droplets but in a lttle greater detail like shown in one of the previous element videos? Or can you still not tell us :D
October 7th, 2011 @ 5:49 pm
You created the title sequence of the movie "Coriolanus"... Right? Say yes, say yes....!!!
October 7th, 2011 @ 6:05 pm
the most key point, is it for free? or how much?
October 7th, 2011 @ 6:19 pm
yeah. . .. Great Plugin. . But Andrew, how about Sam Loya Tuts. . .. Can you answer about it. .. Thanks ;)
October 7th, 2011 @ 6:20 pm
3d is big and I wonder if you are getting the jump on after effects CS6, which is always good in a free market...snooze you loose.
October 7th, 2011 @ 6:21 pm
OH MAN!! I can't wait to enjoy it!! Thanx again guys! It's the plugin of my dreams!! :D
October 7th, 2011 @ 6:26 pm

October 7th, 2011 @ 6:37 pm
I just got the email about this lastest blog came over to check it out...nice!! Can't wait for plug-in. Been following your tuts for awhile now. Really enjoy them. You never cease to amaze. GREAT, GREAT JOB. Continued success 'Drew. Big fan.
October 7th, 2011 @ 6:51 pm
so... good so good
October 7th, 2011 @ 6:57 pm
I want it!
October 7th, 2011 @ 7:03 pm
Wow, as always Andrew Kramer leaves us wanting more.

I just wanted to comment about something. I was wondering if we(as in the VC comunity) make a video or something for the late Steve Jobs. :)
I know that none of wouldn`t be posible thanks to him and his team. I honestly feel, that he gave us these tools to make art and share our creativity to the world.
It`s just a thought. Hope everything goes well with "ELEMENT", it looks great!

Saludes desde Honduras y muchas bendiciones.(Greetings from Honduras and many blessings)
October 7th, 2011 @ 8:09 pm

    Element 4D
    October 8th, 2011 @ 5:46 am
Hey dude, I watched your video. The last part with all the 'Evolution' elements were awesome. Now check my little animation that I completed the other day:
    October 8th, 2011 @ 5:01 pm
mastermind: well executed. short and simple, but done cleanly.

Element 4D: might have gone a little heavy on the VC influence. looks like a mish-mash of tutorials. also, the "fingerprint scan with proximity sensor" text is onscreen for a really long time at a reduced opacity. would highly doubt that was intentional. as for how it was executed, everything flowed pretty well. just needs more of your own style...
    October 11th, 2011 @ 8:45 am
element 4d:that was really good used all the tools, well xecuted
    Element 4D
    October 11th, 2011 @ 10:59 am
mastermind: Thank you sooooo much. I liked yours also. I always keep this sentence in my mind "Every journey begins with a step"(this is from the movie 'The Chaperone')....this was my first step so I hope my journey would be more exciting! I wish your journey to be more exciting than me ;)
October 7th, 2011 @ 10:35 pm
This looks great Andrew, I always get excited when you are preparing to release a product, it's truly inspirational.
October 7th, 2011 @ 10:35 pm
How is this plugin any different from Zaxwerks 3D plugins?
October 7th, 2011 @ 10:41 pm
Please release it soon... cant wait to try it out
October 7th, 2011 @ 10:42 pm
October 7th, 2011 @ 10:59 pm
Somehow I have a feeling this won't just be available for After Effects only …
October 7th, 2011 @ 11:01 pm
i am speechless!!!! awesome man. keep going, we are always be with you.
October 7th, 2011 @ 11:16 pm
hi master cramer!
can you build a smart plugin for lensblur that install on camera.i've worked with some plug in like depth of field & out of focus..but they are not very smart in complex 3d scene...
best of luck
October 7th, 2011 @ 11:23 pm
an advence physics system will be awesome. drawing a "line" like a mask and if object X touch the "line" added anywhere the object will be shaterized, bouncing or attracted like a magnet depending on physics selected. sorry for my english :)
October 7th, 2011 @ 11:23 pm
October 7th, 2011 @ 11:24 pm
I've a short question...
Is it posible to ad reflection and/or refraction on the 3D Element?

October 7th, 2011 @ 11:32 pm
WOw!!! I'm simply blown away...

I jst got a concept for a promo in this picture... thanks to Andrew...

lest i forget... whats up with u and Creative Cow??
October 7th, 2011 @ 11:40 pm
You are increase the artistic level of the worldwide CG.
Thanks you Mr KRAMER and all your staff ;)
October 7th, 2011 @ 11:49 pm
Can I get an e-mail notification just before the release. Im tired of checking in everyday, its making me crazy...I'v actually been waiting to finish my Reel so I can feacher some work with this plugin.
Element 4D
October 7th, 2011 @ 11:55 pm
Wow pal, I was just thinking that if I don't see any updates on Element 3D then I WILL keep shouting about it in the comments! Anyway, now that it's on the process I have only one thing to say-PLEASE make the installation process easier! (I hate the copy/paste type installation like all the other plugins out there)

And please watch this video that I spent hours and hours on making...(for the record I am only 16 and a half and I have been learning After FX for merely 6 months; mostly from VC! )

    October 8th, 2011 @ 5:06 pm
    see above critique

sorry if that came off harsh. pretty decent for only 6 months of experience. keep at it.
    Element 4D
    October 9th, 2011 @ 2:56 am
I thought no one would check out my video but I am really really happy that you saw it and took time to comment on it. It was't that harsh, so don't be sorry. And you are right, that text stays onscreen for a long time and that's annoying. That wasn't intentonal; actually what happened was-See, I don't have a very strong pc and don't have enough HDD space so I couldn't (RAM)preview the whole video after I completed it so after rendering it out(which took approx. 1 hour!) I was like,'Oh my gosh, what on earth happened to that text?'...But right now I am actually re-editing it and will watch a movie while it is being rendered out ;) By the way, I didn't really get what you meant by saying '...might have gone a little heavy on the VC influence. looks like a mish-mash of tutorials'??? Thanks again for the suggestions ;D
    October 10th, 2011 @ 6:27 am
all i meant by was that the style of your graphics was Andrew Kramer's style, not "Element 4D's"

if someone who has any idea of the industry saw that video they would immediately piece together that most of your learning has been courtesy of Videocopilot and might question just what you are capable of creating on your own.

Not that studying what is available here is a bad thing. Videocopilot is an excellent resource for learning, but it's not the only one out there. Expand your knowledge base a little further and implement techniques you see and think look good to you. Over time you'll see the difference...
    Element 4D
    October 10th, 2011 @ 11:10 am
Thanks man. That was a very helpful information. But I don't find other tutorials that interesting so I am gonna stick with Video CoPilot for a while. However, I AM gonna take your advice on doing things/using techniques my way. Thanks again ;)
karthik chennai
October 8th, 2011 @ 12:19 am
please create plugin for nuke and fusion
October 8th, 2011 @ 12:46 am
Hi Andrew Kramer, How are you?
This looks great, cant wait to see, looks like some cool stuff, there is millions of plugin and still you do find your own style wOW. I have a question, did you made this is trailer and FX, looks like your style. You are a trend starter.
Have a nice day!

Best Regards
October 8th, 2011 @ 12:47 am
OMG how to to EDIT!
read: plugin = plugins
and many other spell errors :o/
October 8th, 2011 @ 1:05 am

now, motion graphics artists wont have to switch back and forth between AE and 3d software.

THANK YOU. i shall start saving up for this.
October 8th, 2011 @ 1:37 am

. daryyyy!!!!
October 8th, 2011 @ 1:45 am
WOW. Kramer you know what? You just revolutionized the entire AE and mograph industry. I believe Adobe it self would be overwhelmed at this, cos they couldn't even bring out such a thing as this.
YOU ARE A LEGEND, trust me. Great job! :)
October 8th, 2011 @ 2:08 am
I've to say Andrew , i only thought u were some guy whom was only good at editing videos.
Nw I've even got respect for u in creating cool plug-ins too
October 8th, 2011 @ 2:12 am
Element looks awesome!

Got an off-topic question though. What happened to the VFX breakdowns and tutorials for Demon Cam?
October 8th, 2011 @ 2:25 am
Hay, Andrew. Good work maan.
Thanks. )

(difficult to type with only one hand...)

October 8th, 2011 @ 4:00 am
Wow! Element is turning into a 3D program!! haha
So awesome!
October 8th, 2011 @ 4:25 am
If this surpasses your expectations, it's sure as hell going to blow the rest of our minds.
    October 17th, 2011 @ 10:09 pm
October 8th, 2011 @ 4:26 am
Great job andrew! What will cost?
October 8th, 2011 @ 5:09 am
Hey Andrew, finally an update.. Phew. Been quite long. But good to see a blog post for element 3D. Cant wait to get working on it.

One query though, do these elements have physics, like bouncing off a solid or collision with each other?
October 8th, 2011 @ 5:17 am
Will Element 3D work using CS4 on a 32 Bit machine, or will I have to finally update to a 64bit machine and buy After Effects CS5?
October 8th, 2011 @ 5:25 am
can we get depth of field on element ?
October 8th, 2011 @ 5:29 am
this plug is defenetly going to revelutionise after effect
October 8th, 2011 @ 6:24 am
Epic!!!!! Will we be able to use this for "The Bullet"? like put the bullet in Element and do the Bullet thing? have the camera panning and everything?
October 8th, 2011 @ 6:28 am
WHOOAAAAA too much epicness ahead!! .keep up the good work! ..never give up, trust your instincts! ...DO A BARREL ROLL
October 8th, 2011 @ 6:29 am
I Think This Will Save Us The Hustle Of Using C4D. I Know It's Powerful Plug in. It's Video Copilot Anyway So Except Nothing Less. Big Ups Andrew
October 8th, 2011 @ 6:36 am
Great news Andrew!
I thought you wanted to delay this plugin for next year, good 2 know you actually added more to it and releasing it this year. Got my money ready ! =)
October 8th, 2011 @ 6:55 am
Andrew, after a long time, again great news! cheers
Gaber Hanafy
October 8th, 2011 @ 6:59 am
Thank you so much, Andrew, you are really impressive, but sometimes I can't follow long with you, I think i need more practise
October 8th, 2011 @ 7:01 am
That's the best wood carving display I've ever seen!
October 8th, 2011 @ 7:14 am
My mouth waters in antici... pation. Mainly because VC's products always manage to astound us in 'stages'. In typical fashion, this is no different. First the exposé, followed by ooh's and aaaah's. Then a revelation, followed by shrieks of excitement (and the occasional thud). Then... Another teaser (complete with news that EXTRA features have been added). Then... The release... Holy Shit! People across the industry gasp in awe and VC's dominance in the market raises the bar again! You are possibly the only person on the planet that I actually have a love/hate connection with. If we met, I wouldn't know whether to hug you, or punch you! ROCK ON AK!
October 8th, 2011 @ 7:36 am
Look great Andrew!!

Any hints as to how much longer? Love everything I've gotten from you so far!

October 8th, 2011 @ 8:18 am
October 8th, 2011 @ 8:28 am
verey nice andrew thx :D
Jordan Canrey
October 8th, 2011 @ 8:52 am
You should release a Pre-Release that doesn't have all the features (So people wont get it for free) and make it so it only works until you release the Full Version. This way people could try it to see if they'll buy it, which we all know they will.
October 8th, 2011 @ 9:29 am
hey,, looking great!!

Does this mean that a 3d program will not be necessary for particles? Like if I wanted to make some water, am I better of with Element, or should I then just go for Maya? tnx
October 8th, 2011 @ 9:40 am
The world of After Effects is about to collide with the world of 3D. AND when worlds collide said George Pal to his bride, "I'm gonna give you some terrible thrills,"
Like a...Science fiction double feature - brought to you by Andrew Kramer and Video Copilot dot Net. All in time for Christmas! I can't wait.

Looks fantastic, Andrew, just like your stuff usually does!
October 8th, 2011 @ 9:52 am
Hey man.. this looks amazing! cant wait. can I get in complex 3D models with several parts into AE? and the lighting.. is it equivalent to skylight with about 10 samples in default scanline renderer, 3ds max or mental ray with some nice omnis and mr shadows? oh btw can the models be animated? yeah the transform can be right? but no internal animations. right dude?
October 8th, 2011 @ 10:28 am
WOW hi master Andrew :)
it's cooooollllllll :D thx :)
October 8th, 2011 @ 10:42 am
wow.. amazing that you can create this entirely in After Effects by using the plug-in
October 8th, 2011 @ 10:51 am
WOW! The Ambient occlusion looks fantastic!!
October 8th, 2011 @ 11:02 am
Amazing! I can't wait!
October 8th, 2011 @ 11:15 am
Mr. Andrew..
Im having a sony laptop,, and im doing well on AE,
but im also trying to work with Maya,
but i need a powerfull computing as u know,
so im planing to sell my laptop and buy a PC,
i think it would be better for me,
but actually i dont know what are the system requirements for AE and Maya and what is the good PC for that?
i mean" what Graphic card,ram,CPU,,,etc? "

oh by the way , what do u think about Canon 550D for HD movies? is it fine? :D
and well done Mr. Andrew , u r doing great,,
thank you alot,
    October 8th, 2011 @ 1:32 pm
As for PC specs I can't really advise. But I do own a Canon 550D and I recommend it.. I've done some videos with it, and after some colour correction and a few tweaks I have to say I'm exeptionally pleased with the end results you can achieve from such a reasonably priced camera. :)
    October 8th, 2011 @ 5:10 pm
I'm also a fan of the 550D for video usage. Some of the best DSLR footage I've seen was shot on a 550D. and at that price point...
    October 9th, 2011 @ 4:57 am
ooh thank you alot,, now i feel that i can buy it :D
October 8th, 2011 @ 11:20 am
Just saw the Man of Interest intro and went through it frame by frame... Love the mph part... Good use of the grid from the iron man/futuristic HUD tutorial... And is that some use of element at the end with the grid like particles? ;)
    October 8th, 2011 @ 5:11 pm
particles at the end looked like Plexus to me
October 8th, 2011 @ 11:37 am
Fantastic ! Awesome ! Welcome !
October 8th, 2011 @ 12:47 pm
Keep going! Awesome
October 8th, 2011 @ 12:50 pm
Very cool intro for the Person of Interest.
October 8th, 2011 @ 12:57 pm
YEHHHH......awesome i can't waite realy !
can be reflect environment ?
October 8th, 2011 @ 1:51 pm
Heck to the Yes. What's your secret? I gotta know!
October 8th, 2011 @ 1:57 pm
Zounds! That's gorgeous. I can't wait till this is available. I've got to start saving up for VCP products. :)
October 8th, 2011 @ 2:17 pm
Be sure that i'm gonna buy it first!!! :))
We more examples!! (maybe some videos)
Thanks copilot crew!
D Vassell
October 8th, 2011 @ 3:14 pm
Hey Andrew, you should have more background information on yourself and your company. Like write a book or press releases. Your name is growing in the Adobe and Visual effects fields...and other industries....just wanted to share that.
October 8th, 2011 @ 3:15 pm
Andrew, do you program all of these features and plug-ins yourself? If so, that's amazing!
Jhonnel Pica
October 8th, 2011 @ 3:31 pm
This is Great :)
Liam Vickers
October 8th, 2011 @ 4:23 pm
For 32 bit or only 64?
October 8th, 2011 @ 4:27 pm
u r the one who change the design and motion graphic world
steve jobs gone but we still have u (F)
    October 8th, 2011 @ 6:51 pm
I say he is the Steve Jobs of AE.
October 8th, 2011 @ 4:51 pm
Andrew, Am I right in assuming this plugin differs from Mettles "Shapeshifter" in the fact there is an emitter in which you can extrude the particles/sprites/emissions? Can the extruded emissions be affected by global lights? Looks good, can't wait to give it a test in a S3D comp.
Bob Orlic
October 8th, 2011 @ 4:59 pm
I am aching for this!!! Can't wait to try this out on my New Mac Book PRO :)
apple boy
October 8th, 2011 @ 5:01 pm
One great visionary passes away RIP Jobs. But another great visionary in AE just open to us a new dimension of After effects. Once a dream now a reality "AE 3D". Cheers!!! "Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking." ~ Steve Jobs
October 8th, 2011 @ 5:49 pm
Hi , how about you post your reel so we can see some works you've done.I'm trying to find the work you did with CBS and i cant find it.went on their website and it wont allow me to watch it because of my location.
October 8th, 2011 @ 5:51 pm
While you are at it, can you add the ray tracing you said you weren't including.
    October 8th, 2011 @ 7:29 pm
It is not a matter of excluding or including ray tracing. This feature is not practical for the majority of today's graphics cards, even the good ones. It would bring rendering speeds to a slow crawl. But, reflection mapping is pretty amazing and looks nearly as good plus you can fake reflections with many simple techniques.
    Darren Manden
    October 10th, 2011 @ 2:19 pm
One day we'll have ultra-cheap, super-awesome Quadro cards in all our machines...or maybe that'll just be an alternate reality...like Sliding Doors, but without Gwyneth Paltrow.
October 8th, 2011 @ 6:14 pm
October 8th, 2011 @ 6:20 pm
Great job as always Andrew. Can't wait to get my hands on this.
October 8th, 2011 @ 7:07 pm
Okay this sounds cool as in we can create elements from scratch......Yes?? Okay dabs on cheeseium and you can have Kramerium or any other ums you desire. Thanks
October 8th, 2011 @ 7:27 pm
Andrew, i do not want to be rude, but i think you and your team are going to take this thing to the next three levels.

And thats for the rest: Goodbye you lazy, late-at-night-champagne-drinking-f***ers somwhere out there, here is a man who is standing for his word and make us realize that it just takes an idea and stamina to pull visions trough!

October 8th, 2011 @ 7:54 pm
Very cool plug-in.
So you mean that i can do the same thing shown on the picture you posted earlier..??
October 8th, 2011 @ 8:21 pm
I was telling my coworkers that I was excited for this plug-in last week, they understand it will be important as well, especially for our production house. Any new features beyond what you showed initially are stellar I'm sure. Keep up the good work and I anticipate this will bring good things to everyone.
October 8th, 2011 @ 8:30 pm
this is awesome!:)
Tyler A.
October 8th, 2011 @ 9:36 pm
Oh my... I'm really excited!

October 8th, 2011 @ 10:37 pm
Looks impressive, can't wait! You and your team are pioneers.
October 8th, 2011 @ 10:44 pm
Amazing and revolutionary!
October 8th, 2011 @ 11:45 pm
So, it looks great and all, but I already have Maya and Max. What are my advantages to getting Element?
    October 9th, 2011 @ 1:09 am
The main advantage is Speed. Real time feedback in Final Render Quality right inside of After Effects. Real-Time Lighting with AE lights. Ambient Occlusion shading. Advanced Animation Control. Native After Effects workflow and did I mention SPEED!? Plus many more specific features you have to see to believe.
    ah shang
    October 9th, 2011 @ 10:45 pm
oh yeah !!i like it !!SPEED~~~~~~~~~can`t wait !!i no pro in 3ds max ,but i think element will make my life faster and better!
Boom Room
October 9th, 2011 @ 12:48 am
haa !! it's looks great ,so can i use this plugin with 3D tracker in real world or something like that !!
October 9th, 2011 @ 12:48 am
So it's possible to make 2D shapes and extrude them into a 3D object with that plugin?
October 9th, 2011 @ 1:02 am
looks great THOUGH can you bevel the edges or make soft pillow edges like in photoshop cs5 3d, or even buldge the text/object?
October 9th, 2011 @ 1:03 am
It's AMD now , not ATI anymore.
October 9th, 2011 @ 2:03 am
Andrew we need the real time tutorial for fully understanding it.For example....you have been post some tutorial of Optical Flares,Action essential 2 etc..When you are going to post new tutorial of Elements 3d????
Jody Black
October 9th, 2011 @ 2:05 am
This plugin is going to change everything for me, i have been trying to get into this level of 3D for a while but just can't seem to get past using AE ALL THE TIME :) This will inject that much need depth to my work and hopefully boost my career at these early stages....

Nevermind sitting on the edge of my chair for this, i am 6 feet past it hovering over nothing!!!

Kudos to You Andrew and your fantastic work over the years.
October 9th, 2011 @ 3:15 am
does it working with after effects CS5.5 ???????
And Say Hi to Sérgio Gil For me.......
    October 9th, 2011 @ 11:17 am
Yes, it does work with CS5.5.
October 9th, 2011 @ 4:11 am
is there going to be an option to only see visible for AO for more control of the shadows? also only see visible for reflections? like multipass rendering?
October 9th, 2011 @ 5:01 am
mr. andrew, please update any tutorial again..
i <3 your tutorial.. :D
thanks before..
October 9th, 2011 @ 5:20 am
when can i buy it?
Jhonnel Pica
October 9th, 2011 @ 5:54 am
Can I make A 3D Bullet using this plug in?
October 9th, 2011 @ 6:03 am
Awesome, why don't you start to produce Cinema 4D tuts?
    October 10th, 2011 @ 9:45 am
That would be awesome! However, I think AK uses mostly Max. As a C4D user I would love to see some tuts here, but alas everyone has there program of choice.
October 9th, 2011 @ 6:14 am
I can't wait for the coming out of Elements 3D please bring some Tutorials extra for the Plug in that would be great!
October 9th, 2011 @ 8:42 am
Hey andrew. Please realease it soon man.. I just can't hold my excitement to check it out. Keep exploring & thanxx
October 9th, 2011 @ 9:47 am
Great job Andrew! Can't wait (^-^)

A question here (!the first ever!)

Does element have colision detection? I mean, from your picture above i can't see the models overlaping eachother.
It kinda seems that's one of the stuf you're trying to show there...
That would be awesome!!!
    October 9th, 2011 @ 11:23 am
Element works like a specialized Particle System of points represented by 3D objects in 3D space. Geometry can overlap and intersect. "Collision Detection" required deep surface calculation for every 3D surface and calculating this for every frame takes a long time. In fact this calculation is much slower than it takes to actually render a frame.

Collisions require a simulation, a simulation requires values to be calculated and defined. Defined values cannot be manipulated without recalculating... With Element, we want users to have control over particles and animate them in creative ways that offer more flexibility without a simulation.

So I decided to focus on the animation engine to offer unique solutions to working with large groups of particles.

    It's pretty neat too.

October 9th, 2011 @ 10:01 am
this is sweet, i just wanna cuddle this plug in and give it a pillow on ma bed. this is gonna change the AE world
October 9th, 2011 @ 10:34 am
Oh Momma! ...another must have item from Video Co-Pilot. :)
October 9th, 2011 @ 10:47 am
this makes me happyfaced

    October 15th, 2011 @ 10:23 am
    @Julio Zavala - Hmmmm. How about $149.95 ?
October 9th, 2011 @ 11:16 am
andrew kramer is like the steve jobs of visual effects! always crafting tools to make vfx life easier.
Bader Ahmed
October 9th, 2011 @ 12:46 pm
How do you compare it to Zaxwerks 3d Invigorator ?

I will be happy if it works the same way as a Real and Easy 3D Text Renderer

Wish that !
Nick Reiber
October 9th, 2011 @ 1:36 pm
This is awesome Mr. Kramer. Seriously can't wait to use this in every project I do! Just like optical flares.

And I know you said that you could import 3d objects and my question is a) how complicated can they be? b) Can you include textures?
October 9th, 2011 @ 2:19 pm
Oh that is awesome! When does it come? I´m really interested in this!
October 9th, 2011 @ 2:38 pm
That's looking pretty good and I hope will can have it in a few time because I thing we can do really nice pictures with this !
I just have a question : How much do you think it will be ???
Thanks a lot !
October 9th, 2011 @ 2:39 pm
Finally it looks great !!!
David L
October 9th, 2011 @ 3:43 pm
Is this similar to ProAnimator??
October 9th, 2011 @ 4:20 pm
Does it brush my teeth?
October 9th, 2011 @ 4:39 pm
Andrew why won't your team create simple cheap plugin to create physically correct ropes connecting 2 animatable points in space with adjustable density, length and tension? I mean guys, you can pull it of over a weekend but imagine how useful it might be for all different kinds of motion graphics.
October 9th, 2011 @ 4:47 pm
This looks awesome!!! Marry me, Andrew. Just do it. Nobody has to know.

    October 9th, 2011 @ 6:41 pm
You know, Andrew's wife is pretty attractive. You'd have to be rather fetching yourself to steal him away from her

October 9th, 2011 @ 6:47 pm
Dear Santa......
October 9th, 2011 @ 7:42 pm
when?! can't wait... any approximate date?
October 9th, 2011 @ 9:32 pm
3D in AE..yepeeee!!!!
Justin Kuhn
October 9th, 2011 @ 11:35 pm
I have about 10 solid ideas about what to use this for, one project actually scripted. 3D particles...that can be virtually any particles, from action VFX needs and beyond to sci-fi and back around to the mundane (probably the hardest thing to pull off if you're not the Kramerness). I'd like to see how Element works for that shattered glass tut from a few months back. The speed Andrew emphasizes down here in the comments will allow you a LOT more time to experiment. Can't wait.
October 10th, 2011 @ 2:41 am
Wow!!! you are the onliY One that I truSt in AFTER EFFECT, ino whole worrrrrrLd... Cant wait For thiS...
October 10th, 2011 @ 8:07 am
Awesome... as always...
Ian Mora
October 10th, 2011 @ 10:56 am
Will this totally replace the need for Red Giant's Trapcode Particular?
    Ian Mora
    October 10th, 2011 @ 12:18 pm
I should be a bit more specific. I'm new to particles in general and I was wondering if I should wait for Element before buying RG Particular. It seems to do everything particular can do and more. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
October 10th, 2011 @ 2:56 pm
is this a free plugin?
October 10th, 2011 @ 3:18 pm
Impresive ! i want it all, and i want it now !!! (Queen)
October 10th, 2011 @ 3:27 pm
How's the tutorials about demon cam?
i'm waiting for Woman destroying Tutorial Impatiently !!!
October 10th, 2011 @ 3:30 pm
Sweet Drew, if your selling this im buying it!
October 10th, 2011 @ 11:35 pm
Hey Andrew!

Awesome job on the plugins, we will definitely buy this one right away for the company!

If you don't mind me asking.
What is your connection with mr J.J Abrams and/or Bad Robot studios?

I've noticed that you do a lot of work for his projects (Star Trek, Fringe, Super 8 and now person of interest).

It's awesome, cause I'm a fan of you and a fan of everything Abrams makes

October 11th, 2011 @ 12:53 am
Pretty awesome.
Tho @ collision detection:
Couldn't you just implement the basics e.g. Ball and Plane Parts from Bullet Physics to allow the minimum of a simulation with something bouncing of?
Tho I know from my own experience that building in a physics library into an existing "Entity/Particle" Construction is a pain in the ass.

It would be a cool feature but I think it's also important to keep it slim and focusing on that what you wanna reach with this plugin.

Looking forward to the release, tho I probably won't be able to purchase it.

Also, so long we only saw basic geometric shapes (and text now) - how about shatters? If the render/shader engine is as solid as you said, Polygons shouldn't be hard to add and afaik there are some free algorithms on low detail fractal generation, simple extrude of that would do for a nice effect.

Whatever, I'm sure something useful will come out of this ;)
October 11th, 2011 @ 2:09 am
Will Element 3D rendering engine will support Nvidia CUDA technology?

thank you
October 11th, 2011 @ 4:04 am
Could you also include some 3D Tracking options? Please reply.
October 11th, 2011 @ 5:39 am
I just can't wait for this!!!

It will be more fluid workflow, to do most of the things in AE, instead of making in max, exporting and if you need to change something, you need to render it again.

For motion graphics it will be perfect.

And as I see maybe we will be able to extrude not only text?
    October 11th, 2011 @ 6:45 am
Looks to me that you can extrude any basic shape in AE: Text, solids, shapes, etc.
October 11th, 2011 @ 5:44 am
Hmmm... This plugin seems interesting, looks as if it can create evoloutionary motion graphics. The after effects universe thanks you, for your effort in the making of this brand new product.
October 11th, 2011 @ 6:21 am
It's not just killing you, it's killing me and my company's thirsty desire for this plugin... as the late Emperor Palpatine said to Luke Skywalker, "You want this... Don't you?"
October 11th, 2011 @ 6:57 am
thank you ^_^ thank you ^_^ thank you ^_^ thank you ^_^ thank you ^_^ thank you ^_^ thank you ^_^ thank you ^_^ thank you ^_^ thank you ^_^ thank you ^_^ thank you ^_^ thank you ^_^

Quick Question. Photoshop 3d is AWESOME!!! I use it all the time. How well does this integrate into photoshop?
October 11th, 2011 @ 8:59 am
Within a 3D animation application like Maya, you could use a rendering farm to render faster. Does After Effects have an option to create a rendering farm?
    October 11th, 2011 @ 1:08 pm
Sort of...if you render image sequences and have access to multiple machines with AE. This is how you do it:
    1. Add your project to the Render Queue
    2. In your Output Module, set it up to render an image sequence (.tga, for example)
    3. In Render Settings, check 'Skip existing files (allows multi-machine rendering)'.
    3. In Output To, name your render and select where it will render to.
    4. Save
    5. Render
    6. Now open the project on the other machines and everything will already be set up for you. All you have to do is hit render.
October 11th, 2011 @ 9:53 am
Hmpf, kind of spammy comments around this website! But thanks for taking your time still and sharing all this great stuff! Thanks!
October 11th, 2011 @ 11:00 am
This plugin is making me salivate and this $ is burning a hole in my pocket!
October 11th, 2011 @ 11:20 am
You have my money! I would like a pro version with a spherical maps/hdr generator.

PS. If you need an East Coast guy hire me!
October 11th, 2011 @ 11:33 am
I'm throwing money at the screen, but nothing is happening.
October 11th, 2011 @ 11:54 am
I have the latest Mac Book Pro with an AMD graphics card. You say Nvidia or ATI graphics cards are what you recommend. Why don't you recommend an AMD card?
October 11th, 2011 @ 12:12 pm
thats amazing im looking forward to it
October 11th, 2011 @ 12:35 pm
I have a question! is what can be done with this plugin a liquid like water ??
October 11th, 2011 @ 1:37 pm
OMG Andrew, very nice work.

And just one more thing:
iOS 5 !!!!!!!!!!
October 11th, 2011 @ 2:29 pm

October 11th, 2011 @ 2:32 pm
you should make a tutorial showing how to make those awesome letters
    October 11th, 2011 @ 9:25 pm
well, im sure when the product will be out, will include some tutorials with the plugin as usual with videocopilot product
October 11th, 2011 @ 2:44 pm

October 11th, 2011 @ 5:58 pm
i am wondering after this plugin can we say bye bye for c4d or 3d max in some projects like the bullet??

Just imagining ,what about animating 3d cars and wheels i know sound crazy but there is no impossible with Andrew Kramer :D

thanks Genius .
October 11th, 2011 @ 7:13 pm
I need to change my pants now...
October 11th, 2011 @ 10:38 pm
Your great Andrew, keep it up :) we love you and your work! ;)
October 12th, 2011 @ 12:18 am
24dots cant way either and some of my guys can wait. your tuts have been a great inspiration for us and have brought a great deal and recognition for us. Thankz
October 12th, 2011 @ 2:09 am
Andrew, could you shortly explain how you graded Sam in the car to resemble a night shot? The only way I can think of is to overlay a black solid and change the layer style to multiply or something and then reduce the opacity?

Or was it purely the background footage that gave it that look and feel?

October 12th, 2011 @ 2:57 am
Keep doing what your doing, i thinks its working :)
October 12th, 2011 @ 9:18 am
First off;

Now that we're past that, I've been checking out the comments below and i was really hoping for collision detection of some sort. Maybe an extra option that simplifies and calculates (simulates) the data?

Anyway, on the GI : It is increadible! Looks wonderfull, I'm betting stunning titles with increadible ease thanks to this.

A note on PIS show, I'm guessing you did the cut-scene parts where there is a bunch of video feeds that scroll left/right with a spherical (mild) effect on them - it is gret work and i remember myself commenting on how "fresh" and cool it looked and worked.

Can you ask if you could do a tutorial on the whole thing, it would be pretty exclusive and a RL case study too. No need to dive deep, a blog post with a general view could be good too.

Got kind of sidetracked there, but lastly; do you need beta/alpha testers?
October 12th, 2011 @ 10:50 am
An embedded 3DS Max into AE. Adobe Should definitely hire you as their cool feature discoverer for AE!
October 12th, 2011 @ 3:54 pm
I am totally excited about this product. I can't wait until you get put this out there for purchase. Love your work Andrew, keep it up.
October 12th, 2011 @ 5:57 pm

hey can you tell me what software you used to create this
October 12th, 2011 @ 9:44 pm
Andrew. I check your site about 20 times daily to see when Element is going to be available... IT'S KILLING ME!! Thanks again man- we're all fired up over here in SLC, UT for the release :)

What does licensing look like if I own multiple computers. I own a 27" iMac i7 Quad, 17" MacBook Pro i7 Quad, and as soon Thunderbolt comes out for the MacPro I will be purchasing it. I am A Photographer and Cinematographer so I use all the computer for my business which is ran by me and sometimes my wife or extra hired help depending the job. I usually shoot weddings/Events and create online commercials for small business along with freelance work which includes some local churches also. I own all my own equipment and work out of my office in my house. Will I need to purchase a business license or since I am pretty much a one man band with multiple computers can I buy one license and use it on all 3 of my computers. How does that work?

BTW this is going to truly be a blessing especially for all the motion graphic work I do for churches. I am already thinking of concepts and ideas on how to implement this on my upcoming projects. I have another question. Is Element Capable of morphing particles or your design into another shape or design? For example Having particles fly around in a group then randomly create a text then disperse and disappear of form another text. Or at least Have it morph from one shape to another?

Thank you again
Nitin RaNE

October 13th, 2011 @ 1:13 am
I am surprised that the R&D team at Adobe haven't thought about this.
I have a few questions though:
1) Will there be bevel capabilities?
2) What kind of objects are supported? Ai, Eps, Even PSD? or basically any alpha channel based image? That would be something wouldn't it?
80% of 3D needed by AE users is text based so as this goes it's a major game changer. Andrew you've outdone yourself!!! Great Job Man!
October 13th, 2011 @ 3:31 am
Dear Andrew,
I saw Person of Interest Intro
great work, is it to much if we ask for some sort of a tutorial for some of the effects? ;-)
October 13th, 2011 @ 3:32 pm
This plugin makes me feel emotion (excitement). Really looking forward to this one. I shall ignite the dream ovens! (stokes fire)
October 13th, 2011 @ 4:38 pm
i think you're the next steve jobs, this gonna transform everything
October 13th, 2011 @ 8:47 pm
Hey Andrew, it looks great!

Render speeds look wonderful and you said there will be extrusion capabilities which is nice too. My question is whether or not your extrusion system will support AE Camera's depth of field. As of right now, depth of field does not work on Boris's extrusions, which is a major setback for me.

October 14th, 2011 @ 2:03 am
I think everybody at Adobe are waiting for this plugin....They will learn something they didn't exactly know about how rendering so complex scenes can be done in so little time.
October 14th, 2011 @ 6:35 am
This's amazing :) and get tutorial :)
October 14th, 2011 @ 7:48 am
Will we be able to pre-order the plugin?
October 14th, 2011 @ 7:56 am
One question Andrew , this is gonna allow us to create a real 3d text in after effects ? if it is , this is gonna be a super powerful plug-in . thanks , keep up the good job .
October 14th, 2011 @ 7:58 am
Honestly I'm getting bored of duplicating layers buahaha .
October 14th, 2011 @ 5:14 pm
I'm so exciting to this plug-in,That's owesome, but i don't forget your 'Demon Cam'tutorials,You still release only two here, and it's been a long time since you released your last one.Still look forward to it.
October 14th, 2011 @ 7:23 pm
hey this is amazing the one thing that i got to know is will i be able to transfer animation from my 3d package via fbx or whatever
October 15th, 2011 @ 1:33 am
I am surprised that the R&D team at Adobe haven’t thought about this.
Adobe is planning this for CS6, I guess:
October 15th, 2011 @ 8:26 pm
The results you are getting with Element 3D are astounding; when you consider that it's all inside of AE. I will be saving up for this one.
October 15th, 2011 @ 9:22 pm
This is like dividing by zero.
October 15th, 2011 @ 9:50 pm
This is awesome news! I can't wait to see Element 3D added to my arsenal :)

Can I ask a really dumb question?

Will this bring across the colours you created in Maya or whatever other program you used to create the 3D object?

Also, if not, how complex are the colouring options within Element 3D? (Not hading and lighting, but actual colour of the object?)

CS :)
October 16th, 2011 @ 12:20 am
I am on your tail Andrew. I am learning motion graphics when I sleep. I dream, and I can see glitches, errors in my work and which comp has the issue. I wake up and correct the errors, LOL. I think you taught it to me. Hope all is well Andrew. I know ideas will flood your head when you read this next bit, are you doing anything for halloween? How is the wife and kid.
Take care, Jonathan.
October 16th, 2011 @ 11:46 am
That is some pretty incredible work Video Copilot! I was wondering, will Element 3D have a 3D Extrude function in it? Example: Make a Solid into a Cube/Rectangular Solid or make text 3D? -Kurt R.
Dave Starr
October 16th, 2011 @ 3:02 pm
Don't you think it's time to publish a new tutorial or at least some news? y'all disappeared ?
October 16th, 2011 @ 4:08 pm
Hey Andrew, this plug-in looks amazing!

I was wondering, do you actually write the code yourself for this plug-in, or does someone else do it?

I like both programming and VFX, and I was wondering if people can really do both.

Thanks for any feedback!

- Eric

October 26th, 2011 @ 3:26 pm
I know you realize that you are going to change the After Effects game completely. AE would turn into the greatest visual marketing tool ever. The perfect commercial software.
    October 27th, 2011 @ 11:58 pm
oh yeah, he knows it.... :D he's gonna get the benefits from inventing it too.... :P (wish I'd created it)
October 27th, 2011 @ 2:11 pm
How do you read all of these comments man...it's overwhelming.
October 27th, 2011 @ 5:27 pm
sooooooo, why haven't we got a realease date yet? it's been a while since you said"next week".....
hope the price won't go up with all thes "extras".......???
    October 28th, 2011 @ 6:10 am
Even if the price does go up, it looks like it will be worth it. In fact, all of Andrew's plugins are really cheap when you compare them to the rest of the market.
    October 28th, 2011 @ 5:03 pm
yeah, it's amazing the price difference between foundry, Red Ginat and all them compared to Andrew, but that still doesn't make me rich..... :P by the way Andrew, you are awesome! *thumbs up*
    November 4th, 2011 @ 7:18 am
I agree. All of Andrew's products are well priced while offering more then GREAT quality. In the end, he's doing us a favor by even developing something like this. So have some patience....Whenever it comes out, it will be more then worth it! Andrew, you release it when your go and ready! Peace!
    November 20th, 2011 @ 6:30 am
    I agree with you Adrienne,
More awesomeness is on it's way and he's working really hard for it right now and we wil not be dissapointed. I am anxious just like the rest of us here but that's only out of excitement and appreciation. Without Andrew's tutorials we'd be still making stuff that's less attractive to look at so sit tight and let's be patient and wait for the ultimate plug in developed ever for AE
October 27th, 2011 @ 8:58 pm
Will the plug in support textures? like when the obj is loaded can you apply a detailed texture to the obj?
October 28th, 2011 @ 4:07 am
I have something burning in my pocket..... Wait... That doesn't sound quite right. Let me rephrase that. I have money burning in my pocket which is ready and waiting for this marvel. I'm not sure how much longer I can't wait without bursting with excitement.... 8)
October 29th, 2011 @ 6:08 am
Sure hope this gets release soon. I have a project due 1 Dec and would love to use this on it!
    October 30th, 2011 @ 10:28 pm

November 13th, 2011 @ 3:19 pm
How will the stroke effect work with 3D text? I've delved into 3D once in junior high but that technology has been obsolete for years. I remember extruding layers to get a stroke like effect on an object, will that be the case or will it carry over just like in your tutorial #114 Stroke FX?
November 19th, 2011 @ 3:04 am
Hey Andrew
I Think That You Should Have A New Post( Tutorial,A Good News , A New Feature OF Plugin , A Video Or Blog Video and ... )Because We Think That It Take Long Time Ago From Last Post :D We Miss You !!!!

January 2nd, 2012 @ 5:49 am
people get angry - and i feel too.

It's not, because there is still no Element3D to buy...
It's because there is absolutely no more information/update about this plugin.

:-( what a pity
January 2nd, 2012 @ 11:27 am
plz ak were all desperado for the release of this awesome plugin any news on the progress of elements keep us posted
thanks in advance
January 7th, 2012 @ 1:07 am
Legal problems? We've allready seen that with Trapcode and a major Plug Ins Company some years ago and Element looks like Trapcode Particular 3 advanced.
January 12th, 2012 @ 7:41 am
I'm sure there's a very good reason why the release of this plugin is delayed. Frankly I don't mind what the reason is (working on other priority tasks? bug found in last minute testing? can't be asked anymore?) but after a statement that release will be before Dec '11 a quick update with a new eta would sure be comforting - if only so we knew we weren't forgotten about.
January 13th, 2012 @ 6:50 pm
As much as I understand the need for a business to create a buzz about a new upcoming product (and what a stunning product this seems to be), I don't understand why all of sudden its' on mute, as if no one ever talked about it. Andrew keeps delivering new tutorials and stuff, which is great, but at the same time is ignoring the expectation of many people, which is the natural fruit of the buzz he decided to create a few months back. No one needs to know everything in details, and what kinda issues you guys are dealing with (as obviously, Andrew having promised a release before end of 2011, there are reasons why it didn't happen). So while this is no one's but your business, hearing a word about a new ETA would be a nice minimum. Not that we won't support you by buying your product once it's out, but it'd just be nice to not ignore the great expectation and excitement of many of us, further to your previous announcements.

Keep the hard work, Andrew & crew. You guys rock!!
And thanks again for all that you do for the community.

And by the way... Happy 2012!!
January 14th, 2012 @ 2:55 pm
You have to know that Andrew knows he's our favorite vfx rock star, but I'm simply running out of time for a few upcoming projects. May be forced to choose another option. Andrew is such a natural born communicator, I'm afraid there is more than hand-code tweaking in play here. VCP may not be licensing their tech to Adobe, especially if Adobe is about to absorb all of VCP. No inside information, it just doesn't make any sense that there are no updates of any sort on a future VCP pillar of a product like Element 3D.

Queu announcement that Element 3D is available for download, now.
    January 16th, 2012 @ 1:27 pm
I love the site and what he does, just bummed on the element eta/abandonment. Why no update at all? Nothing?
Obviously we will all get over it but I hyped it up to a lot of c4d and maya people I know and swore andrew would deliver on time. Element would (have?) worked wonders into my workflow and really sped up a lot of projects I had through Dec/Feb and beyond!
January 17th, 2012 @ 1:26 am

But if the slowdown has anything to do with buggy half-baked Adobe software, well, you have my sincerest condolences. I'm going to assume that is the reason for the slowdown, but you don't want to say anything publicly. Just blink twice if this is what is going on.

Was super impressed with the demo of Elements 3D at DMALA last night. The new features you've added are well worth the wait. This plug-in will be a game-changer for AE.
(BTW, I was hoping you'd be demoing E3D last night and you didn't disappoint. Was prepared to buy on the spot!)
