oh and another thing. i downloaded the project file and you know when you did the 3d text thing and you put multiple layers of the same text on top of each other to give the illusion that its actually 3d. well i recently got Red Giant Planespace its a plugin that will create 3d objects (like cubes and shapes and stuff) and text for you inside of after effects with the depth in it. its really…really handy.

I hope you read this:
VideoCopilot.net is absolutley the best website I ever know (no doubt)
but I ((actually)) we need to learn 3d stuff using 3d max and composite in after effect instead of particles and text and expression and all that good stuff because you have great enough tutorials on that stuff.
so I hope you if you could make a 3d tutorials like modeling car in 3d max then make it explode in after effects using your great product (action essential 2)
or make architecture city like 2012 movie and make it crumbling using 3d max. make the tutorial in several parts if there is a lot of stuff going on. or make a tutorial about modeling monster and texture it and animated in 3d max then track and composite in after effects… and I will very very appreciate it so much.
I hope I didn’t disturb you by talking too much and by the way your title is very great (awesome).

awesome as usual. One thing bugs me thoug – the letters look ok 3D-ish at first, but when the camera zooms ind the drop shadow shows.

Is there a way of combing multiple “drop shadows” making the object look extruded and not flat?

I was torn on getting Optical Flares because hey – they’re ‘just’ optical flares right? How often am I really going to use’em. This shows me a ton of ways how to use them to really make things pop on screen – and tons of incredible ideas for even more creative tricks.

You’re an amazing guy – and you make the AE community. If Adobe doesn’t have a day where every AE employee they have sends you gifts, thank yous and the occaisional live sacrafice of an intern to your Godhood they should… at the very least they need to send you free copies of their products.

Uggh. Project files in AE8 Won’t open in AE7. I hope you do a quick tut on these titles at some point, love’em. Great work as always. Your title stiff in AE is especially terrific. The best things in life are free – like this site! I’ve truly learned more between Video Copilot and Creative Cow than books and training media I’ve paid for. Your are incredibly generous with your knowledge and a gifted communicator/teacher. Can’t thank you enough…

real quick question, it seems the particles are using CC Particle World,the particle used here is faded sphere, but how do you get it looks like lines?
I tweak all the setting and don’t know which one does the trick, when I try to create one myself, no matter what I do they remain looking like sphere…
