Sure Target 2 Test Video UPDATED

Here is a quick test utilizing some new features of Sure Target 2. Notice the bouncy movement and the subtle roll and pitch of the camera as it moves.

Think about being in a car with very soft suspension…

Watch Test Video (looping)

The camera Roll is also velocity based so that it will inherit the speed of your camera movements and the amount is controllable as with the inertia.

You might also notice the variable target distance from the first title to the second… Each Target has a slider to control the (dolly/truck) distance from the camera so some targets can be close and others far without having to move your layers or animate the camera manually.

UPDATE: Just doing some more testing and should have a tutorial and download ready next week. See you then.

Enough already with the teasing bring on the goods sir!

I was just thinking yesterday how does one (one being you Andrew) get to know so much about AE and all that it does? My god man I can't keep up and I don't have enough time left on this earth to get it all.) I do have a request I would like to see a text tut on instead of blowing the text up do it in reverse. There is probably a very simple way to reverse it but me being 57 and I guess feeble minded I have not figured it out yet.(

Thank you sir for all you do........
November 30th, 2009 @ 7:51 am

November 30th, 2009 @ 1:35 pm
i didn't like sure target 2.5 or which ever one he did the sure target tutorial on with the squares in the background and lil strokes of light, i just couldn't seem to get it to work right, it was just impeding everything i did, i move it to one point rotate key it, move it to the next, key rotation and position /stuff, then when i play it back it screwed up the first key frame and rotated it backwards. im almost certain i did it right. it just doesn't want to work.
November 30th, 2009 @ 1:38 pm

Oh man, there were so many family members on Thursday that there was no left over turkey! Hence no turkey sandwiches! GRRRRRR. Next year, I'm making my own turkey and gravy so this doesn't happen again.

Thankfully, I have the thought of Sure Target 2.0 to lift me out of my depression. :)

I think there is a small chance Andrew reads the posts, if i am correct i want to thank you. It seems most people gush in their posts and its plain to see why. This site is fantastic, all aspects. I have just started watching/reading the blog and to be honest its to give me a laugh more than anything, the rambling is so funny.
The tutorials are the best i have come across and if i had to pay for them i wouldn't be any less happy (maybe a little bit).
I was planning doing a full time course on 3D animation but I'm seriously considering motion graphics now.

Thank you Andrew.
December 2nd, 2009 @ 4:55 pm

Hi guys, check this video out

It´s amazing a guy in uruguay called Federico Alvarez made it with only 500 dollars budget, some guys in hollywood saw it and they inmediately contacted him and flew him to LA to sign a 30million contract to make a movie. They got him a new apartmnet, new car and now he´s working with spiderman director Sam Raimi on creating the new film

This kinda things encourage us to keep learning on this beautiful field of visualfx and maybe someday make something like that :)

Kind Regards

One of the problem of the sure target 1.6 was the fact that he can't work with object parented.

In fact, it worked with only one axis at the the time, if you played with expression in the 3 axis, i make something a little crazy :

A link to explain the first problem

A video about the problem
