Dark Energy + Video

Here’s another free project file that uses the electric energy along with some other cool fx.  The layers aren’t terrible organized but you can probably find your way around.

PS, I’m sorry but I can only provide project in CS3.

another pretty cool file, thx!

Dammit Andrew! Right now I’m on vacation, so I don’t have access to my computer, let alone After Effects :(
It’s so teeeeaaasing! I think I need to NOT to look at this website till I’m back…

Thanks Andrew for making my day better :)

nice!!!

Very nice!! Thanks you AE pimp!!

awesum, thats what we all shud be doing at home anyway.. making time to inspire others! ;) thanx Andrew.. gud one!!

great!

The electrical one was good but this great. Shows that you dont need expensive 3rd party plugins to make good FX.

The project was better organized then any of mine!
Thanks, Kit

Pretty nifty! Thanks.

Great :-)

awesomeness!

your forgiven. i just need to get on the ball with cs3. cs4 is just around the corner though. might wait it out?

thanks for the inspirations!

Thanks for this project :)

Thanks you rule, keep it coming, you make me smarter :)

I love you Android, keep it up.

Looking great, looks like some energy or credit title from a superhero movie.

Video preview?

He dude,.

You’re still awake? 4:27 am posting things?! Oh, wait a minute,. you’ve got a child too…. never mind ;D

Hey Andrew,

This one and the electric energy project look cool from the screenshots but I don’t have CS3. I’d love to see a quicktime of it though if you wouldn’t mind posting them.

Cheers
Brian

Thanks again, Sir for gear stuff…

Nice one. Like it alot

Electric energy & Dark energy are really great!

Wow!!! Really cool!! Thanks AK!!!

Nice. Reminds me of the LHC project they recently ran in Europe.

P.S.

I started watching Fringe on Hulu in my spare time. It’s actually pretty cool. some extreme special effects are every where. I love there well-integrated floating titles. They also have this awesome title sequence! It great! I wonder who made it…

Thanks again Andrew i hope you make soon tutorials for those projects like you promised the last time:
think I’ll spend some time editing a few tutorials and get some things moving around here.

I got a lot of work done on the tutorials yesterday and today I’ll be out with the family but be ready this week for some fun and exciting stuff. I might even teach something cool.
thx mr. Andrew!

You’re the man :D

Will you ever cease to amaze me Andrew?

That`s very cool, keep on Andrew!!!!!!

a little bit of “fringe” injected into the project it seems ;)

Very cool…..THANK U AGAIN.. and also

viva CHILE!

TODAY IS MY COUNTRY’S INDEPENDENCE DAY…

VIVA CHILE!…

great job andrew! your hard work will soon pay off :D

by Thorsten Miess

not useful for me,
because i dont have After Effects CS3

post some screenshots or do a quick tut on that. That would be awesome! or anyone else with CS3 can do it.

looking great!

Does this stuff come to you in dreams, the shower, or is it that cat of yours? I find that dreams and uncle john are the best sources of inspiration.

wow thats hot… i have a question, what did you studied before to get such an great artist? when I’m tryin’ to do things like that it looks horrible… and thx for all you doin of course… i’m lookin forward to the meteor tutorials?

Thank you! I love your project files.

I like the smart way you’ve used the three adjustment layers at the top of the deck, been investigating this powerful and mind haemmorraging idea recently…

and using a camera in it is devine

Woo! More project files!

*sigh* Once again…Maybe preview video for us less fortunate…?

Thanks alot for great stuff…Sir…

ay this is kind of like the Fringe intro, am i right?
with the bubble, pretty neat stuff.
went i saw the intro to show i said to my dad that i learn off the guy that made this :)
we love you in aussie
keep it up (Y)

I like that, is Dark and mysterious, i loved.

You are the best AK.

I only have the AE7 =( not enough money for CS3…

coool

Damn, there’s no “Export to AE 7″ Fonction in CS3 ? Argh…

by Alex Noticovach

Hi Andrew, good job with the Dark energy, but when added new videos tutorials? We all wait you mate….

oh my god that looks so sweet…

Looks great! Thanks

I just made a RAM-Preview and WOW! I don’t know where I could use that technique (especially the ball in the middle with that sweet glare looks awesome), but this project would make a great background for a DVD menu. Was that the reason you made it?

This is very good. Thanks!

Even if the studio i worked at didn’t have cs3, it wouldn’t matter. you’re the man, no appologize needed.

PEOPLE READ BEFORE YOU COMMENT PLEASE!

Thanks for this. Looks wow, very cool.

hey andrew cool project file….very cool but i dont understand why did you use an adjustmentlayer with no effects in it? [Adjustment Layer 6]

looks nice, thanks!

by the way: your side was shown on german tv today! the show is called “Taff” and it is about lifestyle and stuff. they show all star wars movies in the next weeks, and thus they showed some seconds of your lightsaber tut.
in the moment, you can watch yesterdays show for free, so maybe tomorrow you can see the one with your tut. it should be very close to the end.

keep on the good work!

I’ve just seen it too, Sam is now famous in Germany :D

Dude awesome loving everyone of these. that bubble looks pretty 3D have you ever used any other 3d program other than 3DS max

Nice work. I wish i had trapcoe particular. 300 is a bit steep…You should make your own particle system thats better than particular, and 1/3 the price.

Christopher – In the bullet dvd series he uses all of the 3D programs to create things — You should check it out!!

is there anything this man cant do?

WOW GREAT!

The reason there are extra layers is from experimentation… I didn’t clean the project up.

Timothy, I didn’t use particular… I don’t think.

I bet I’m better than Andrew Kramer at MS Paint.

why can i never be the first to comment… im on here ALL THE TIME

HERE YOU GO DREW:

http://vimeo.com/1760942

@Esco: Did you see his MS paint mastery in the Set Extension tutorial?
I’d be careful if I were you. ;)

Andrew can kill it with some MS Paint! That kid is raw w/ the mouse!

greate andrew dreat work but lil bit mistake :) but i like u r work

waiting for the tutorials Andrew…

“BIG DREW – is there anything this man cant do?”

No, theres nothing he cant do, except suck at something :D

Hey Andrew,

Awesome as always…looking at the post time…get some sleep dude!

ANDREW KRAMER, you are a gentelman and a scholar.

omgsh…. have you seen what Lyndon done, that is also impressive..check out ” http://vimeo.com/1760942 ” he posted it here…man.
Andrew Good Job…you are seriously the man…
Lydon Good Job too….give your project file to Andre Kramer, so he can also teach us on how you did the 3D spin in your video.

Andrew Kramer, i know i might be asking a stupid question but do you have any idea on how he did the 3D flip thing on the start? I really want to know how Lydon did that. If so please comment back and suggest what tool i have to use and etc..

Thank you very much

Try posting this in the forum and you will probably get some good feedback. From the looks of it you may want to check out tutorial 58 and 54.

Really nice – Great colours

so pretty

funny as *ell
andrew you still got it

This one is great and it would be greater if you can create a Extras page just for some stuff like this.

What I mean is beside your tutorials, many new people don’t know if you have some free Projects like this one before. It would be easier for them that they can find extra free projects from the past in one page.

Thank you.

good stuff as usual and indeed Lyndon did do a good job! but the thanks must go to AK

by The Real Smithy

Thanks andrew for cs project i’m doing a wedding video and i might be able to use it at the end montage

I like the dark forces of VC!

@The real Smithy:

LOL, you use it for a wedding? Is it a russian marriage or why you need such crazy effects for a Wedding? :)

by Ricardo Mantovani

Andrew, you are the face of the after effects, congratulations

Dude! too cool to be true! thanks a lot. Keep it up, Kramer ROCKS!

hi Andrew Kramra very very thanks for tutorials

Speacial thanks for andrew Kramer
http://www.goranfx.net

Oh,it’s beautiful.but,I AE is 7.0

are you going to do future tutorials for these?? for the electric beam and the dark energy? i was checking out the file for the electric beam and looks like it can be simple to do, but not sure if i can pull it off. plus i think other people would be able to benefit if you do these as a tutorial it can be one of those quicky tutorials you been trying to do that that only last like 5 min :)

you also shock me…

but this shock give me reasons in job

your posting really nice stuff! thank you i’m learning a lot. ciao

Why don’t you create a tutorial on these two projects?
They are awesome!
For the dark world at least, in the energy the only difficult part is working with fractal noise I think…

You are always the best!

OMG I just discovered the site I have been watching tutorials all day, u guys are really the best I am new into AE and its awesome the way u guys teach is noob proof.

A BIG THANK YOU
from Chile
