    Stephen Martin
    January 23rd, 2013 @ 9:12 am
Any discounts for those of us who purchased the bundle prior to this release :)
January 22nd, 2013 @ 6:59 pm
Are you going to include a (Collect Files) feature for future versions of Element 3D?

Once I've changed the location of some C4D files and they became missing in Element.
January 22nd, 2013 @ 6:59 pm
I can't express the appreciation I have for you and your team. This (like all of your products) is incredible and once again you have outdone yourself.

From the words of Wayne Cambell and Garth Algar "We're not worthy!"

Thank you Andrew Kramer
January 22nd, 2013 @ 7:04 pm
Metropoliton looks awesome...when i have the money i will be getting Ellement 3d...i would love to see a medical model pack,,like anatomy models, heart, lung, inside of veins..etc, there's a interior body shot inside veins i'm trying to pull off.
    March 21st, 2013 @ 1:34 pm
I second the desire for medical models. It would be amazingly useful and versatile!
January 22nd, 2013 @ 7:05 pm

January 22nd, 2013 @ 7:09 pm

Wow, this is gold. Seriously. I have always had the interest on getting into 3d modeling/animation but thought it was too hard to get into without any help / connections. A lot of people are very secretive on their software and methods of production. Not here, that is unique and amazing. I found this post and others are a wealth of information where I will read more. Thanks CoPilot!

I'm the mayor now b*tches....
January 22nd, 2013 @ 7:18 pm
For the people who have downloaded the update------since it says use full installer does that mean after updating I will have to reinstall and retexture all models in my models folder?

January 22nd, 2013 @ 7:22 pm
Hey Andrew and VC - both the Metropolitan product and the E3D Update are both awesome --- BRAVO!
I just played around a little, and can't wait to play more tomorrow.
January 22nd, 2013 @ 7:25 pm
Looks great, but where are the AE project file templates? thx.
January 22nd, 2013 @ 7:36 pm

January 22nd, 2013 @ 6:43 pm
Awesome!! =D
January 22nd, 2013 @ 7:55 pm
Yes! It's here! Oh man, this looks gorgeous. I've just got one question Andrew, it's a bit off topic, but that is some catchy music there. Where is that from? Anyways, congrats on what's sure to be another hit.

Gotta start saving up for this! :)

Hi Andrew,
Just wondering how many buildings are suppost to be in each folder. I don't seem to have quite as many as you do in the demo.
January 22nd, 2013 @ 8:16 pm
Hi Andrew,

This pack looks awesome and I will definitely buy...but it's just really a shame that I didn't wait a month before buying the Element 3D + Pro Shaders pack - I could have gotten Metropolitan for just another $50 bucks :-((

The other graphic design bundle just was not going to be useful for me - I would have bought it with the weapons pack though... :-(

Just a thought but maybe you could give people the choice in the future - like plus any one model pack or something? Just a's something I would like to see when you launch Element 3D 2.0...

Thanks for all the hard work,
    February 6th, 2013 @ 7:30 am
You could first email the support team and could ask them for what you gonna buy and what the price will be for which of those you gonna brought.. . Aww

January 22nd, 2013 @ 8:20 pm
Sorry, plus I cant find the relection maps. Could they be why my building count is off?
January 22nd, 2013 @ 8:22 pm
There is a link to download the ELEMENT patch to v1.5 - which is necessary for the METROPOLITAN pack.

You should also see it in your order history.

Andrew Kramer, I have tested this pack and I gotta admit, it is truly amazing! Now I can make scenes of New York in the Avengers! Thanks again VC for all of your hard work put into this.

January 22nd, 2013 @ 8:43 pm
can we take a part the buildings and devastate them by explosions like the avengers?
January 22nd, 2013 @ 8:44 pm
really awesome....:)
January 22nd, 2013 @ 9:01 pm
So, where are the backgrounds you were talking about? Can't find them in the folders.

January 22nd, 2013 @ 9:31 pm
Woohoo! Just stumbled out of bed to give the little girl a bottle while my wife and suns are sleeping. Fired up the mac, checked videocopilot..............You made my day already! Thnx
January 22nd, 2013 @ 9:35 pm
Excellent so far. Are there any samples to show how much detail is available for closeups? Wide shots look spectacular, but I've got a few different uses on the current agenda that would involve being tighter on windows, etc.
January 22nd, 2013 @ 9:35 pm
Too bad there isn'nt any discount given to owners of e3d studio bundleand pro flares bundle. But`m gonna buy it anyway :-)
January 22nd, 2013 @ 10:03 pm

To save me struggling over the legalese of the license agreement, are there any restrictions in place preventing me from using some of these models in the Unreal Dev Kit? I totally want to make an FPGAOLGF (First Person Giant Gorilla And/Or Lizard Fighter).
January 22nd, 2013 @ 10:31 pm
does previous owners of element get a special discounted price?
January 22nd, 2013 @ 10:34 pm
Hi Andrew,
Just purchased the pack and I can't tell you how exited I am to start with my planned building project.
I'ts really bizar that the pack came out today, sind's I've sold my actual real house today!!!
So my day can't go wrong anymore! I'm looking foreword to see the upcoming tutorials!
By the way, the speed of Element is just….. Amazing!
I just quickly went trough some of the building and it looks just awesome.
Thanx for bringing this to the AFX community!
Ciao Aldo,

Hi Andrew.

So I installed the update then I installed the Metro Pack and immediately went to your first tutorial. You were explaining the different buildings and then mentioned that you have included new 4K texture maps and by example loaded "blue_skyline_4k". I tried to follow along and did the same however I don't have any new 4K maps in my library after installing. Is this a glitch and am I perhaps missing those maps? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Element 1.5 & the new Metropolitan pack have are some of the most revolutionary products to come out in 5 plus years. I've been working in this field since 86 & the tools we have to create with today are nothing short of magic. Now if only more people could learn to write good scripts. LOL!

Hi Andrew

Im sorry to report another bug but Im sure the feed back will help make this already awesome program even better. Theres always going to be small bugs with new things and its all good! That said, the issue is I am unable to render out my shot. I've created a project 1280X720, followed your tutorial to build my city, created a simple camera animation but when I send to render Que and hit render nothing happens. It just remains frozen in time without any progress. Im not sure if there are settings I should be aware of on my machine in order to make it work more smoothly? I have CS4 on a MAC PRO with GTX 285 card. My specs are below. Once again thanks for any help.

Have you updated your graphic card drivers?

Is the option in after effects set to use the gpu or cpu?

If that doesn't work it could be a bug, then only Andrew can help you.

    I just trying to help.
    January 23rd, 2013 @ 9:28 am

Thanks for the help. Yes all my gear and software is up to date. I have sent a help email to support and am awaiting further info.

Hi Andrew... Great model pack mate. You guys are really setting an awesome standard. Just a quick question... In your tutorial, it shows 156 models in the Metropolitan folder and 115 in the No Antenna folder. I only have 104 in each folder.... am I missing something?
January 23rd, 2013 @ 3:13 am
Stunning work... absolutely the best plugin ever!
January 23rd, 2013 @ 4:36 am

January 23rd, 2013 @ 6:19 am
Andrew, this pack is grate! I thing you make lot of efford and work doing this and the Element 3D 1.5 with the bug fixes. I will ask you if you could do one of this 3D packs but insted of buildings, of cars... like a ferrari, porche, bugatti, etc. This would be grate for recording our oun movies crashing expensive cars with out having to buy them (because we don't have to much money hahaha). Thank you for your time. Sorry for the speling mistakes. They are because i'm from Uruguay and I speak Spanish. See you!
January 23rd, 2013 @ 8:16 am
Extraordinary pack!

Any future projects planned to produce a City Streets pack, with taxis, road signs, traffic lights, and such? That way I could take the camera down to street level in Metropolitan.

Also, a Suburb and Rural Town pack to put in front of the Metropolitan pack would be really great, to enter and leave a town. (Or would packs like these perhaps require too much detail, making the pack too expensive..?)

Anyway, congratulations with the Metropolitan pack, in itself a huge accomplishment.

    January 23rd, 2013 @ 11:43 pm

We need it too! Absolutely agree!
January 23rd, 2013 @ 2:31 pm
Looks stellar! Any chance of releasing some sci-fi looking buildings in an add-on pack?

January 24th, 2013 @ 4:12 am
Powerful..but I'm really waiting for element 3d camera and animation import.. that would be great.
January 24th, 2013 @ 9:53 pm
This render would not have been possible without the new Element 3d.

The half life model is thanks to "thefree3d", animated using 3dsmax and OBJ sequence exporter.
January 26th, 2013 @ 2:19 am
Hey guys... I cant find 4k skyline enviroment maps...where can i find them? thx

February 18th, 2013 @ 3:09 am

why i dont see any difference between day and night 3d model???
March 8th, 2013 @ 3:46 am
As wonderful pack as this is, i would really appreciate a cars pack from AK. Thank you for your hard working.
March 11th, 2013 @ 8:32 am
Hi ,
I just wanted to thank AK et al. for developing Element 3D and the Metropolitan City pack which were vital in the completion of my short which integrates live chroma key footage.

The ability to composite the live action with 3D objects directly in AE greatly improved the work flow.

the final result can be viewed:

Thank you again AK and VC.
