Free Magical Smoke Elements

Now that we have released our new promo video for ‘Demon Cam‘, it’s time to start sharing the fruits of the project to you! One of the most used elements was the mystical smoke found inside of the Orb, and now it’s yours!

Be sure to mix it with additional particle effects like this crazy energy ball!

Watch Demon Cam Promo NOW!

So what’s next?
Well, now that the film is out we are going to be sharing the secrets of our VFX compositing workflows for nearly all of the challenging VFX shots to help everyone see what is possible. Our goal was to make a promo video with as many impressive VFX shots as possible so we can try to push the limits of our tutorials and production values of a real-world project.

Now, I agree this was a lot of work to put into a ‘VFX App’, but what’s AWESOME is that even if we don’t hit it big like “Angry Birds“, we still have some sweet real-world FX shots to make exciting new tutorials for months to come!

…Pretty clever :)

So get ready for a new tutorial or breakdown every week AND an impressive behind-the-scenes video covering various aspects of the production just for the Video Copilot community!

Here is an inside look at some of the shots we will be working on. Until then…

I disagree with all these people that say that this is too much of an effort for a phone's app. For me this is an example of how professional and dedicated Videocopilot team is, and I'm so thankful that you pursue originality and work harder than other visual artists. You always deliver amazing quality works (with your trademark sense of humor) and the most amazing thing is that you share all this knowledge with all of us.

The best of the whole thing is: andrew kramer shares his knowledge with us and deserve a lot of money with it. And her search for all the glory and honor to, used his things and sells them as your own. Use your head sometimes and makes its own things. Andre I do not begrudge every dollar of his work. But trying to think of times but themselves.

----

Andrew and VC team, I hope in the time to come you vastly surpass angry birds. You have given so much, and even when you charge for your work you charge such a reasonable price. If I were rich, I'd share my riches with you - I honestly would. (so, uh, you can pray that I get rich ). Thanks for the freebie, and thanks in advance for the upcoming tutorials. I spent time last night looking at the inside look portion of the demon cam site. I already learned a few things there. (You know, I would have probably been silly enough to hang real torches on the walls - and most likely would have burnt down my studio). Heartfelt thanks, and best wishes for your success. BTW I'm looking forward to ELEMENT - are you gonna tell us which effects in Demon Cam were made with it?

August 11th, 2011 @ 7:15 am
I'm excited to see your production planning, execution and then into post. The whole package. I can only assume as to future plans, but thought I'd ask, are you planning another 'Serious FX and Compositing' which incorporates the nitty gritty 'how to's' from things like, camera setup, lighting to post production? Just a thought because, I'd purchase that in a second!
August 11th, 2011 @ 7:18 am
Speaking of "Angry Birds" -

I would love to lay down a challenge to display one completed level of the games - Pimped out with Video COPILOT Plugins!!

This is so awesome!
You continue to baffle me Mr. Kramer. Let's take the shot above for instance - how is it possible to have blowing hair, a crumpled-up, not perfectly lit greenscreen and still get a perfect key? Now that is an in-depth tutorial I'm certainly demanding ;)
August 13th, 2011 @ 2:36 pm
Absolutely stunning! You guys do not disappoint. I've watched that short film probably 10 times and still can't get enough of it. A few thoughts. I wish you guys would make a short film like that using DSLR's. In your making of videos, you used Red Cameras, which are cool but might be outside the budget of a independent filmmaker just starting. I woud love to see a short film made with DSLR cameras, composited in After Effects, using your products in the making of the film. If it looked great, there's nothing you couldn't sell me.

Привет Andrew Kramer, если не сложно, не объяснишь как сделать этот "Магический шар", я сам пытался сделать, использовал уроки Galactic Orb,3D Light Casting и Glass Orbs но результат не радует. Может в 3dMax сделать?
August 14th, 2011 @ 10:07 am
Hi Andrew Kramer, if not difficult, you can not explain how to make this "Magic Ball", I myself was trying to do the lessons Galactic Orb, 3D Light Casting and Glass Orbs but the result is not pleasant. 3dMax can do? (At least the basic idea)

Ну не знаю, девачки, особенно блондинка, могла бы сыграть лучше, все так наиграно.
А в целом не плохо.

First of all I consider myself lucky to join this world's best website WWW.VIDEOCOPILOT.NET. Thanks to ANDREW KRAMER for your great help. I am waiting to see all of the breakdowns of the Promo. And I want the breakdown of Dark Cave, Orb Breaking etc and all the stuff you done in the Promo. I've bought Optical Flares, Twitch Pro presets & Pro preset II. But I think the Best Product is "Action Essentials 2". Although I am out of USA or I'll buy it. No problem one day I'll buy it. Thanks again to you and the V.C team for those tutorials & Great Products.

Greetings From Bangladesh
