Working through the night…

I’m just finishing some fx for a client that are taking a little longer than expected but things are looking good now.  I’ve got some fun tips and info I’ll be posting on the blog in a slightly new format for short screen recorded tips.  I’m also getting the rest of my project elements together for an exciting look at bar graphs in After Effects.  (Trust me it’s more fun than it sounds)

It’s funny, animated graphs are what got me into motion graphics.
Plus, it’s nice to know I’m not the only one working through the night.

I wish this one is one of the advanced tutorials, like tutorial number 95 about normal-map that really teach something.

I Know VC is a separated project, but why you don’t post a showreel of your works Andrew? it would be really interesting!

why not a “how to make your Reel” for the 100st tutorial? where you show some tips for sound design, synchronization and merging projects files to make a freaking awesome reel!! not just an assembly of few renderings!

Rama, that’s exactly what I was thinking about yesterday. I think Andrew should make a reel or something and overall show more of his work besides the tuts here on VC

What happened to your compositing tool Quick Matte?
Did you put it on hold or will it just take longer than expected? I remember you announcing its upcoming release on August 23rd.

Maybe tips, not tuts!

hey andrew, when is that video blog coming? :)

I don’t know….. The picture really seems to be created in 3D. If you can make that in After Effects, Then You prove once more that you are the Best!

I don’t know how bar graphs can be any fun at all!!

how about Quick mate?

Hey Andrew, are you at liberty to share any of your clients work with us? Would be interesting to see what kind of projects you work on a day to day basis.

Thank you

oh boy hehehehe can’t wait to see it hehehe

Nightwork sucks, because then you sleep the whole day. I hope you find your rhythm Kramer…

Rama, great idea!! AK, ‘how to make a killer reel’ tut for 100…..awww nevermind, you probably already had an idea for 100 back @ 50….thanks for EVERYTHING!!!

Cool, it will be exciting ….

All verry cool,

Andrew you should make more visual fx tutorials. Motion Graphics aren’t as exciting!

Thank you if you are reading this.

PS. Thank you if you aren’t reading this!

FX for a client? So is it a big movie project? :)

Ah, the smell of bar graphics in the morning …

Now we all want to know who the client is. Why do you temp us like this Andrew? lol

Awesome!!! Oh, and what about the videoblog???

about a month ago i had to do a bunch of bar ,pie and line charts . and it was a huge pain in the ass . i look forward to seeing how you do it

Awesome, this tut will come in handy :D . Use it for school or something… Looking forward to more 3D awesome FX.

I remember checking CNN news everyday and now I realize that VideoCoPilot is first thing I check everyday before news??? I think Andrew Kramer should run for President .. specially now, that he has broken to Oval Office too :)

Cool cant wait! Also, Andrew just wondering about the video blog or i think it was called the Video Copilot show and if that is still in the works. it sounded like a great idea and i hope its still on the way!

What ever happened to your quickmatte plugin.. was that forgotten?

(Darth Vader Voice) :)

I’m not sure to understand anything, but I whant to give you many tanks for your work and yours tutorials, ever so gains.

I’ll continue studing english…

:-)

Hmmm,…would this involve Datamator 1.5?

Why should je meed Datamator?
He’ll probably just take his rendered out video file of a 3D bar graph increasing or decreasing and then to some time remapping by using slider controls and expressions or something similar.
As far as I recall Andrew never said anything about creating those 3D bar graphs from scratch in After Effects, only that he’ll control them in AE to fit whatever statistics he wants to show without having to re-animate and re-render everything in 3D.

Of course “je meed” means “he need”.
That’s Sumerian.

This is good new i love new tutorials and its not every day you here good tips.

Sounds boring… “Not very good”

yah….not vedy ghood

(typical mouth breather reply)

Can´t wait for the tips and tricks….

Andrew,
How do you choose which camera to use in your 3d projects (28mm, 35mm, 50mm…) and what are the differences between them ?

Thanks & Shabat Shalom, no ?

Nothing but excuses and deflection

I’m looking forward to some tips when working with bar graphs. A good part of my job involves data visualization, and combining it with cool visual effects has proven to be an attractive mix!
