wow, that are allot of tutorials to cover
All that extra typing with all Andrew his jokes about Sam haha.
I love them, it makes me laugh in front of the screen.
Does it matter if you don’t live in America? I guess it would be a challenge when it comes to pay though…
you dont want some one to blow stuff up. damn i cant type fast.
You could try windows speech to text on the tutorials.
Yea I type pretty fast and I’d be happy too. But..I don’t live in America
Hi, i already sent you an email about this, but you can answer here if you like. I’m 14 years old and live in Australia, I don’t know if you could employ me?
I can type… and live in the area… damn… I am too late aren’t I?
Hey whats up, Andrew Kramer here for Video Copilot Dot Net, And welcome to another very exciting After Effects tutorial.
Today were going to take a look creating some energy inside of After Effects so heres what were going to be doing
Okay so we have a whole bunch of particle layers, we have these paper particles, we have energy particles, the twister and of course the FedEx truck down here.
Okay lets go ahead and get started, I’m going to take our New York shot drag it into the new comp button create a new comp, this is a shot I took while I was in New York and ah it came in handy cause now were using it for a new tutorial
————–
This is from the last tutorial (68. Energy) , took me about 45 seconds to do this much
But I did not check Spelling or Grammar
Edit, Thats 1 min 45 seconds to complete that much
hEil0 1m an very god tapyper, i kan tayp enyting u ant me 2.
How about french subtitles? I’m a french guy living in New Zealand, so I’m fluent in both english and french.
Let me know if you guys are keen.
Andrew, with all the free tutorials you have done for us… I think many, many of us
would help you with this task for free, I know I would if you need my help I will transcribe a some tutorials for FREE.
Thanks
Last time I checked, I could type at about 67 WPM with little error. Don’t know if that will help you out or not, but I am willing to help in any way I can. Thanks for everything Andrew!
My wife is a transcriptionist that has helped me on feature-length DVDs and such. Let me know if you need additional help and she’ll be up for it (she says so, I promise)
For sheer cost economics and scalability  AND quality if you find the right people, I suggest using the Amazon Mechanical Turk. http://mturk.com I’ve found some gems on there, and I know certain services like CastingWords also use them as an intermediary. Best of hope with the transcriptions!
I’ll do it.
I can do it… And just to prove it I began typing this as soon as you posted up the request. STOP THE CLOCK!!
Did I do well?
Hey, if you’d want to add subtitles in Spanish too, I could help you.
That’d open a brand new market for you and lots of more people would benefit from your great tutorials.
And THANKS A LOT for the amazing work you do with the whole Video Copilot experience.
FJ
I definitely agree that this should be done for free to help the community.

Andrew I know you said “We don’t need instructions” but I found this site
not sure how well it works but check it out!
http://subtitle-horse.com/index.php
I wouldn’t mind doing some for free, or even videocopilot store credit
I’d like to do it, but if you already have people to do it, then ah well ;D
Hey Andrew, get VFX-Anomaly to do it. I can already hear your voice just by reading the text he wrote…hehehe…
Hi Andrew, I would like to make Spanish subtitles if one day you consider doing them.
Yeah I’ll second the store credit idea, but I’d also do a couple gratis because the site rocks and has taught me so dang much about AE.
I’ve bought a few DVDs, but whatever I can do to help the cause…
I’d sure as hell do it for a little store credit. I’m 81 words per minute, so I can probably type about as fast as you talk on the tutorials. I would die for this opportunity.
Hey Andrew! i would do it right now! but i have frikkin finals now :\
…so i dont have time to fart, even :]
…Guys, i think as a graditude, we should all just help,and give a hand…
This is really not sucha big deal. If everyone trancripts just One tutorial-well share the load off one person having to do it all, And itll go Much faster. i guess itll take 1 hour of your life to dedicate to it…..just to show how thankful the community is for what AK is doing here.
if youre into it-the only thing we need to sort out is who transcripts what.. :]
ill be happy do to it after the 15th [=date of my last exam...thank god! :]
good night, dudes :]
elad.
i can do subtitles in Spanish too
No typie here me have 8 thumbs and 2 fingers
Sorry — I only type Klingon fast with my special keyboard.
I can write AE expressions faster than you can write random bliss. Haha, no really, im moderate. I would love to help do some tutorials, free of charge of course!
I’m from Missouri and would do anything I can to help out the site. Please consider me in your decision.
i can do it in spanish….
Paid? Unpaid?
I can juggle while on a unicycle, does that count?
If you still need extra help, i’m up for it. Its the least anyone should do fo the 60 plus tutorials so far and the free presets and stuffs.
I can type 62 wpm.
Hi Andrew.
If you’re ever interested on implementing Spanish subtitles I’m up for the challenge.
I have a very fluent english and native spanish.
And of course, I would love to work with the VideoCopilot crew.
Cheers.
If you ever need Indonesian subtitles, I’d be happily to do it for you. I’m fluent in both Indonesian and English
I could give you a hand for free.
I’d be pleased to translate to text some of your tutorials!
Man to think I was out driving and shopping earlier today instead of sitting on my butt reading rss feeds…
I would love to do it, and I live really close by in California too! :/ if you need more help, please consider me.
Just curious. Why are you doing this?
Please forgive my ignorance, I’m trying to learn.

UPDATE: THANKS EVERYONE! Looks like we have several good candidates. If we need more help I will repost. You guys are great!
Our tutorials are going to eventually include the ability to show and hide subtitles… so we are looking for 2 individuals that can type fast and write in English. Basically we need to transcribe all the tutorials from http://www.videocopilot.net. We don’t need instructions just a word for word transcription.
————————-
I transcribed that in a few seconds!!!! btw.. is it still transcribing if you copy and paste?
Someone makes subtitles in Portuguese? Many brazilians, portugueses or others who speak portuguese will apreciate.

Thanks everyone, I think we have it under control. Multiple languages may follow…
I can do it but , is it possible for those who live out of States?
Although, going by the amount of replies… i would bet that you do indeed have it under control.. lol. But why isnt your name red like it usually is? ^^
Wasn’t logged in… now I am.
I’m a Spanish guy living in Ohio, moved here from Barcelona and I’m gonna stay for a few months more. I have a native level in both English and Spanish and I would be glad to help you out. I’m a pretty fast typer… Anyways, just wanted to say hi, and thanks for all of your tutorials!

I can help to translate to Chinese (simplified or traditional). Just contact me : dollarside@yahoo.com
Really, what happened to T-shirt contest winner announcement? Lol, you said youre gonna announce them month ago.
)
The idea of subtitles is very good, but i see a problem, if you see subtitles …don´t see what is happening in the work area….or not¿
i’ll could translate to spanish if u want, Andrew, like i tell u by mail.
if you could select diferent audio for the video…diferent audio with diferent language…mmm
Hello Andrew. If it is not too late, I would love to be one of the candidates to transcribe the tutorials. I am a pretty good speller and have good grammar – I know how and when to use colons, hyphens, commas, ect. I’m not sure if it matters or even if you are still taking applicants; however, I am a sixteen-year-old U.S. resident (employment at my age is legal in the state I am in) and I am more than happy to transcribe the tutorials.
I don’t have any fancy book learning but I’m fluent in prison slang. The guards have restricted our ‘internet time’ now but I can send em in on toilet paper using some home made ‘crayons’, I was saving them for a wicked new shank but I’d like the chance to give back to video copilot as well as society.
HEY! THAT’s VERY COOL, I CAN DO IT IN MANDARIN AND ESPERANTO
hey Andrew, if you need to translate it to Spanish in the near future, I’m a candidate for sure!
Man I should of saw this earlier I can type at a speed of 126wpm. I’ve gone to many competitions for keyborading. 126 wpm is’nt too fast compared to some people out there that are way faster. Dang I really wanted this.
Hey, i would be more then happy to do write your tutorials for you, i type 42 words a minute i could easily complete your tutorials.
Ryan
Also I’m from England, so obviously i speak fluent English.
I’d be willing to type some tuts.
Mario, and Mavis Beacon taught me well!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mario_Teaches_Typing
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mavis_Beacon_Teaches_Typing
I’ll do it if anyone backs out, Andrew
whats up andrew.
im brasilian and im shure it would be great if we could have them on portuguese subs.
we work for a tv and thats product would be great for our grade!
send me some mail if u like the ideia.
I could translate a few to Portuguese for free, although I’m not that great at translating..
I have teleprompter experience via my work at God’s Learning Channel, a Christian television station operating out of Texas. I have been typing – aye, in English :p – since I first learned how to use a Commodore 64 way back in Elementary School. I can do approx. 80 words per minute and consider myself fairly skilled with the latest version of Microsoft Office.
Have you considered Spanish and other languages?
Man you have fans all over the world
Congratulations
I can do spanish btw
hello to all… this is an example….
“hola, son andrew karamer de video copilot.net…. bienvenidos a otro gran, gran tutorial… y esta ves lo digo en seerio…”
well, something like that… see ya….just let me know if u want a real audio from a tutorial…
something else… it wont be good to have it in subtitles… u need it in audio,,,, u cant read and look at the work area… im in for free…
Hi again Andrew…fantastic news that you are going to include subtitles in future tutorials. I have a few hearing impaired students that use your website to learn After Effects (as we have spoken about before) that would greatly benefit from this. There are many video based learning resources on the web now for all the different areas of Screen & Multimedia production, but unfortunetly very few are subtitled. My wife is also hearing impaired and after struggling for 4 & 1/2 years at uni, with non-subtitled online resources, your announcment is really encouraging to both her & the deaf community. Can videocopilot get any better! Legends.
Cheers.

Hi there i’m willing to help put in the time if needed. I know you have a blog full of volunteers talking about their typing skills, so what stands out about me, hmmm… yes i’m up there in the mid 60 wpm… this year is my 10th year in the United States chAIR Force! (yes i represent the behind the desk pencil pushers =P ), i know how to correctly spell “you’re” when most people spell it “your,” if i end up picking my nose while transcribing your videos, i promise to wipe my boogers or what ever else comes out of there on a napkin and wash my hands before i touch the keyboard again, which in turn keeps your words Andrew, at the highest level of uberness without degregating the quality of…….
*jeopardy theme*
sorry i picked my nose, just got back from washing my hands… i forgot what i was going to say! darn it… i guess you’re not the only one with a sense of humor on this thing Andrew… =)

Is this offer for ‘all’ the video copilot viewers who would like to work with/for video copilot ? OR is it just limited to US citizens?
I’d love to do that job.
@Lawrence – I wet myself! you’re a funny guy!
I’m shocked at how many really bad spellers are out there “willing” to “suck-arse” and “offer” their services to VCP??? Good luck K man! ; )
LOL , that Lawrence is really a good guy, man its pure comedy here sometimes.
Lawrence, LMAO!
Did anyone offer russian so far?
Hey Andrew!

Alguém faz legendas em Português? Many brazilians, portugueses or others who speak portuguese will apreciate. Muitos brasileiros, portugueses ou de outras pessoas que falam português vao apreciate.
hey there,
not sure if someone asked this already. (dont want to read through all 100 and sum comments) but with adding subtitles will you be able to search through a tutorial based on a word search? that would be most radical.
also, recieved the bullet dvd. excellent work. i use to pound my head working in c4d. just seeing how to properly set up a file and key commands saved me so much frustration.
thanks. great work!
can u make a tutorial on disintegrating cuz i am making a movie and i need to know how to do it so can u plz do a tutorial on dat cuz u are reallie good
Hi, if you still not have any “typers”
for Czech subtitles, I’m here and I’m ready to help you…
Hey Sir Kramer,
If you need any help to translate your tutorials in French, let me know and I’ll help you out.
I live in Eastern Canada (Montreal) and I usually speak French but my Canadian citizenship force me to know both English and French. I’m not a typing machine but I can handle a good flow of words…
Hope I’ll get some feedback !
Simon,
Votre humble serviteur.
