T-Shirt Template

We’re almost finished with the T-shirt design contest site but the template is ready to download now. You can use any program to design the T-shirt such as Photoshop, illustrator or Paint (although the latter may hurt you chances).

IMPORTANT For Photoshop: When you open the PDF template be sure to set the “Crop To” option to “Media Box”.

Download Template PDF

Download includes PDF, PSD and vector image of Sam.

Official Rules will be launched soon so remember to check them before submitting your design.

I couldn’t get Paint to open up the template PDF… can you help please?

… just kidding.

But seriously, this is a good idea. Can’t wait to see the submissions and end products. I think everyone should buy one; for all the VCP team has done for us I think we at least owe them a few bucks and some free advertising.

This should be fun! :D

I am sitting here for for 2 weeks now in front of my screen waiting for the launch. Canceled work, lost all friends…^^
It´s going to be great fun I think.

yva how much is this program?

Yva – VERY NICE link – that’s the kinda participation i like to see from people :) thanks!!!

Muhahaha, I already had a fantastic idea!
I’am working it out right now, and it will be finished soon.

And by the way, is that t-shirt image 90% transparant?
Because when I set the background to red, the t-shirt also slightly changes to a red colour…

I’ll send it in when the website (or I) is finished,
Wouter K.

http://after-effects.blogfa.com

Niceeeeeee!!!! I like the Video Trace program that Clancy30 posted, and the Mona Lisa
MS Paint drawing, that was cool.

wow, so not only is video copilot awesome at after effects, but their also amazing at vector designs too! the sam shirt is pretty awesome!

why not doing the concept in after effects ?

It’d be hilarious if the winner used Paint. ;)

It doesn’t really matter what program you use, the winning design will likely be recreated to the specs of the Shirt Printing Process and vectorized. Just think of a good idea and make it look cool.

One hint, is to make the shirt look like something you would actually want to wear in public.

when i wear my t- shirt in puplic people will break thier necks thats a promies.
its ready waiting for your approval.

this is going to be good
jeje

No fair. I think the Sam shirt already wins. I want one.

D

Wow, hahahha wat a contest. I’m ready & loaded.

Boom

Sandy

Can’t wait, Let the fun commence

This is going to be a Tough competition

Thats awesome!!! I want to get all of it..how much would 1 shirt cost?hehehe dats mad..i want to design one

i am digging right on this

yeeeahhh!!!

ok i have 2 questions…

1. how many shirts can we submit in the contest?
and
2. is it ok to make a youtube video of our shirt designs and post it on youtube :P ?

Hey andrew, i’m based from melboune Australia, and on the weekend on channel Ten, they were promoting a competition where you can win a car and Ps3. Anyway all the graphics being used, was using Evolution and Riot Gear. So there you go Video Copilot on Australian TV.

Hi Andrew,
i’ve waiting so long for this contest and i’m ready for it! :-)
So i want to see the rules…

How many designs can we post?
I have so many ideas and would post the best of it! ;)
And what is the winning price?

My best wishes to you and your family

HIStory
from Germany

Sweet its finally starting now haha very cool,
im gonna try if i can submit a nicely “wanna wear it in public” kinda shirt.

anyways i think the site is gonna be loaded with t-shirts, maybe you can make an t-shirt sub-purchase site ;) you could be rich!

nah but seriusly think this is gonna be a great fun contest, pending for the rules.

and @ Yva: very nice programm, cool that you share this with us who knows’ mayby more inspiring things can be added in the future.

AM gona send my T-shirt design and hopefully that Mr. Andrew would like it…

Tip of andrew, “make a design of a shirt that can be worn in public” I sure need to wear a shirt that says “Honk if you know Andrew Kramer” with his face and everything. The Face on the back shirt and front that says “Honk If you know andrew kramer” :P

ha,The third T-shirt reminds me of the poster of the movie which is called “Indiana Jones” :P
Whatever, all you have done are awesome to me.
Thanks again.

Does the design have to be related to Video Copilot?

How about “Sorry, Please Try Again… Oh, And Drink Pepsi™” or “Outlook Is Not So Good”?
Have anybody seen this messages on this site? It’s like a hidden feature…

Okay I’m all set and ready to submit.
/me F5ing every minute.

hi everyone please watch
Lexus Hybrid Drive ad in trapcode website
it’s amazing
thanks

TODAY IS TUESDAY!!!

hey i just wanted to say thank you for the great tutorials and products. i entered a contest recently with some heavy effects, and if it wasn’t for video copilot it wouldn’t be nearly what it is.

you can see the video here

http://www.whencloverfieldhit.com/video/view/141

I just also have the question that how the effects of the movie “Cloverfield” were made without many short clips..And the whole movie was shaky..:(
That was also awesome..

Thanks to Andrew Kramers Video Copilot i was able to create this video for the Bux.to competition

Feel free to check it out!

http://youtube.com/watch?v=d4KD2XvaPKg

isn’t the shirt a little too tight?

i’m totally in :D

Pick up the Cloverfield DVD. It has a special features section that delves into the special effects and compositing. It is pretty interesting. They don’t step you thought everything piece by piece but they give you a quick overview of what they did.

oh and pick up some VCP products too. ;)

Thanks.
I just found this: Cloverfield Visual Effects

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YT_yh1r3cQg

Well,I think Andrew Kramer will say “Hey,we are talking about the T-shirt,not the Cloverfield…”;)

by Morten Enoksen

This would maybe qualify as spam, but check out my new vid http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d-JZ6VjGzfE

@ Morten Enoksen
