Crazy Fans!

And no, I’m not talking about Video Copilot fans, although we have our fair share Actually, I’m talking about my Indiana Jones Costume! Well it wasn’t easy but I managed to finally put together an Indy costume that I wouldn’t be ashamed to go outside in.

The hat is from Disneyland, I even had to buy a woman’s purse so I could use the buckle for the army bag strap. Sure the real Indy didn’t have his logo on the outside of his hat but that’s ok.

I used to make fun of all those Star Wars fans that would dress up but now I know how they feel… but that doesn’t change my thoughts about those desperate fanboys. It just makes me a hypocrite and I’m plenty fine with that.

Still working away on the new stuff, stay tuned, just keep your radios down.

Hey Andrew, any word on twitch these days? Excited about it. :)
October 29th, 2007 @ 8:12 am
The holster was the most expensive, the jacket too, but I already had that item. Everything else was just hard to find.
October 29th, 2007 @ 8:19 am
If we had Halloween in Norway I would get me a huge teletubbie costume. I would also walk around with my Colt M4A1 (BB) ;O

My nick actually used to be Killer Teletubbie, when I was younger.

October 29th, 2007 @ 8:30 am
It's not shown in these photos but I'll make some more on the 31st.
October 29th, 2007 @ 8:33 am
Ha! NIce. I won't put you in the same category as the Star Wars fans (unless this is just a gateway costume to your ultimate goal of building your Boba Fett).... Looks good!

October 29th, 2007 @ 8:33 am
Looking awsome Andrew. Hope you have where ever you're going. Keep up the great work.

October 29th, 2007 @ 8:34 am

Hey if they ever need a new actor to play Indiana Jones i really think you would be a perfect match.
October 29th, 2007 @ 9:08 am
Awsome outfit but you look to clean. Wrinkle those pants and slide in some dirt and it will be absolutely perfect.
October 29th, 2007 @ 9:22 am
jojo freak!!!
October 29th, 2007 @ 9:37 am
nice outfit Andrew ,,, how about making a small trailer with some of your action on it ... it will be great ... actually you are my HERO ...
October 29th, 2007 @ 9:40 am
you need to have some dirt and blood on your shirt. this qould make it really true to original.
October 29th, 2007 @ 9:44 am
What a coincidence!!! I'm making an IJ movie! Cost of wardrobe & props: $0. I'm constructing the entire outfit using your reverse motion tracking technique. It was kinda weird running around naked performing these stunts.
October 29th, 2007 @ 10:01 am
Expressions...why did it have to be expressions?
October 29th, 2007 @ 10:07 am
Nice! ...and yes it puts you in the same boat as SW fans...only exception would be that this is just your Halloween costume...but if I see you wearing it at Starbucks after the 31st...well than you are a tool! ;) j/k but you would be an uber geek for sure! :)
October 29th, 2007 @ 10:13 am
No Indy costume is complete without a lucky lighter.
October 29th, 2007 @ 10:16 am
Good lord, you could give that young indy fool from the transformers movie a run for his money, what's his name - keir dullea?
October 29th, 2007 @ 10:19 am
Is Andrew the illegitmate son of Harrison Ford and that hot German Chick from the Last Crusade?

Or is the Drewski trying to become a cyber-stunt double for Harrison Ford?

I can see Drew in the movie theater, critiquing the special effects. "You need a multimillion dollar studio to do that?!!?? I could have done that with an Adjustment Layer, Null Object, and the pick whip!!!"
October 29th, 2007 @ 10:41 am
Great costume Andrew :) I hope that soon we all will can to buy Evolution or Twitch and watch your new tutorial.

October 29th, 2007 @ 10:51 am

Hope to see you, may be in the futur, at Star Wars Réunion (3), the official French Star Wars convention, where you can speak about all Lucasfilm entertainements...
Don't forget to send us a picture of you when you will go to see Indy IV, in May 22nd, with this very nice costume.

Speaking of Indiana Jones i was playing around with a Crane the other day which was made just for the Indiana Jones flims

There were two made but the other one is being broke up for scrap :( The guy did say that some of the small bits from the crane may be sold on ebay, when i am back up there next week i get some photos.

October 29th, 2007 @ 1:53 pm

One of the most important elements of Indi is Whip, "Where’s you whip ?"

October 29th, 2007 @ 1:54 pm
BaryonicMatter, Andrew needs that
It will complete his costume :)
October 29th, 2007 @ 1:59 pm

Nice pick bro. Hahaha. I do hope this isnt what you work in year round. Halloween only. Right? :)

And yeah, my first question to mind was going to be wheres the whip, but you already got to that one. Lets see an action shot with that thing. Take a snap at Sam for some footage. :)
October 29th, 2007 @ 7:28 pm

October 30th, 2007 @ 1:09 am

October 30th, 2007 @ 12:07 pm
HEY! I resemble one of those "desperate fanboys" that would dress up in their Boba Fett costume at halloween each yeah. One year I even deviated and dressed up as Ace Frehley from Kiss but that was a disaster and it was back to Boba Fett.

I actually feel sorry for myself as I type this. Think i will go and cry in my Boba Fett helmet.

Great costume AK.

October 31st, 2007 @ 10:13 am
WOw holy crap. Talk about inpatience. All you guys are doing is going to have Andrew rethink when he shows us a 'preview' next time of any work he has in the pipes. Why show it when he has to hear all the constant whining.

Let the man do his thing, and be happy you have tutorials you probably havent even watched or tried yet anyways. Theres a thousand different things to do on this site, instead of complaining when the next product will be out, or when the next FREE tutorial will be introduced.

Did I mention he does the tuts free? Nada? Zippo? Zilch? Zero? Comprende?
October 31st, 2007 @ 10:33 am

I'm sure Andrew will release this tutorial when he's ready, and sure that it's good enough. He also has a family to look after, and he is doing a very good job so far.

Patience is a virtue, so I'm told. Keep up the awsome work Andrew. Your Tutorials are the greatest.
