Big Week!

This is a very exciting week for some big news and announcements. As you know we are quickly approaching the 50th Video Copilot Tutorial and we will be having a special celebration and we’ll also be announcing a brand new DVD that you don’t want to miss. (Hint: it is not a sequel to any of our current products)

Of course we have a brand new tutorial this week that should be a lot of fun and may include a special demonstration by yours truly. I hate to be so generic but there is too much excitement and I had to let you know.

And more importantly, I’m going to be Indiana Jones for Halloween

October 8th, 2007 @ 2:45 am
andrew, you rock! i got all of the dvd's and can't wait for the new one!
October 8th, 2007 @ 2:45 am
Will the DVD be all the tuts grouped together in all their non-downloaded, perfect-for-home-viewing-anytime glory? Or something else? Sounds good though! I thought about going as Henry Jones Jr. too, but there's also the possibility of Wolverine. Depends on the availability of fedora.
October 8th, 2007 @ 2:59 am
looking forward to all, nice to see un ingaged, just dont niglect your child ; )
October 8th, 2007 @ 3:00 am

October 8th, 2007 @ 3:45 am
Ohh wish we had Halloween here in Australia. Sounds like a laugh!
October 8th, 2007 @ 3:54 am
I think the tutorial DVD should be called "50 Golden Tutorials of the Copilot - 2005 - 2007"... Yeh, very excited about this week, in fact I've taken an overdose of anti-anxiety tablets just to calm down and now I can't remember what day it is or who I am.

Very awsome Andrew. You never cease to provide for us. But like plenty people before me said; we're just a bunch of anonymous internet junkies :P. You got a family to take care of. We most certainley can wait as long as you need us to. Real family comes first. Then internet family :D.

Although...An Indiana Jones costume you say? Hhhhmm. Not sure I can wait for that one :P. Indiana Kramer and the Fountain of After Effects Knowledge.

Too long for a title? Lol.

Best wishes from New York,

Nice... lookin' forward....

It's amaizing how much influence Andrew has had on AE users (especialy young ones).
if u type in something witch incluedes AE, for example in Youtube, u'll see the result of Andrew's free tutorials and products! Andrew, most of what I know and do in AE, has come from U, young people over the whole world are now getting more interested in video effects and etc.

Thank U from the deepest corner of my heart. I owe U great thanks, as do many others.

Here's a little teaser for my current project, in witch I have greatly involved most of VideoCopilot's products.

! It's in Estonian, but U can still see the effects.
Trailer coming soon.....

Thanks million times,
Märten Kaldamäe, aka Max
October 8th, 2007 @ 10:29 am
Indiana Jones, you don't say. Big surprise, who's gonna be Sala?
October 8th, 2007 @ 10:36 am

October 8th, 2007 @ 10:40 am

Thanks Andrew
October 8th, 2007 @ 11:03 am

October 8th, 2007 @ 11:33 am
At this point dude, if you said you made a tutorial on how you could physically pass through our computer monitor and enter our living freaky as it would sound., would not surprise me lol. BTW I hope your wife and kiddo are doing well.
October 8th, 2007 @ 11:45 am

October 8th, 2007 @ 1:46 pm
If all the online tutorials were put on a DVD I would buy them! For $50 or more :)

Having access to the tutorials offline would be really cool, especially when you are looking for something in the latter parts of a tutorial you wouldnt have to wait for 20 minutes of it to buffer!

Cant wait for the new Product!
October 8th, 2007 @ 2:22 pm
a mystery new product? CAN"T WAIT!!!! hope its like riot gear or the sounds one, i love those too.
October 8th, 2007 @ 2:33 pm
Sorry for my bad english. (im from the US ..HA!)

Im very psyched about these new release dvd`s. (though I did find a way of yankin` your tuts off of the site..just so I can watch them without freaking wireless network crapping out)

can't wait... i hope there will be another 50 great tutorials coming!
October 9th, 2007 @ 4:31 am
We really do NEED a formal forum here I think. So many times I want to ask questions (like this one) which are, strictly speaking, off topic from where they are posted but related to the tutorials and/or VC products.

I'm interested to see if anyone is interested in sharing AE projects containing compositions made from the sound FX disk. Not to include the sound FX you understand, just the projects themselves so they would only work for those who have the soundFX product. Might need to search for the sounds files but that's OK.

I'd love to see and/or share build ups/fanfares etc with others.

And just to bring this post back on topic. Can't wait for the new product. I have little doubt I'll be making a purchase along with the offline tutorials disk when it's available. As I hope both these new products will appear quite close together I hope a special 'bundle' price is going to be available ;-)

best wishes to the family.

October 9th, 2007 @ 4:46 am
Apologies! Broke rule #5 in the above. Please edit as apropriate!

I don't mean to complain, because I absolutely love this site, and yes, I have bought some of your DVDs, but I thought you said this was going to be a big week... I guess the week's not officially over, but practically... Just wondering if you meant "Big Month".
October 12th, 2007 @ 10:54 am

I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
October 12th, 2007 @ 3:41 pm
As it seems there is a delay in the release of this new "Product DVD",
And as such we should all be patient as to it's "Arrival".

There are many factors in life, And in Business that make it Almost "Impossible" to be precise to the exact date of a new product release.

So my advise is to relax those "Mouse Fingers" and give Andrew Kramer time to "Iron out the Details" so we can fully enjoy this new "DVD Release" and it's price tag that I'm sure will be "Affordable" to us all.

Not to mention any free tutorial that may accompany it.

Hey Andrew, what kind of camera are you using? I use the Sony Z1-U, but I want a new one that shoots in 24P modes. Just wanted to say that your doing a great job here and I have a question? I see you have alot of footage to use in your tutorials. Do you have some movies that you made that we can watch, like some shorts are something? If so where can I check them out?
August 13th, 2008 @ 3:52 pm
Thanks for the work you put into this info. I\'m checking back every week for more.
