Video Copilot in Action!

Some of our Video Copilot customers have been taking our products to new levels. Through all of the emails I have received with video links, it is great to see them helping so many.

I had an idea to create a customer reel, but I think it would be easier if people posted videos on “free” sites like and link them here.

Todd at Ripley’s used Designer sound FX for world record video:

It is the video with guy trying to hold the airplanes off (top right).

Ben is a finalist in the John Woo Contest with “Rivals”:

He used a few VC products so be sure to vote for him, or your favorite one ; ) Remember we are a family here.

I know there are many other great videos I have received, so please repost them here for everyone to see. This is your chance to show us your stuff (not literally). And don’t worry, we have all used the free tutorials to make videos ; ) I mean, who hasn’t blown their head off?

Of course I encourage you guys & gals to go beyond the basic tutorials and apply the principals from all of them to your own projects and videos.

On a side note, when I make a free tutorial I don’t mind if they are used professionally or in your own work. In fact I encourage it. If it helps you make some money or win a contest, all the better.

I’ve seen some Video Copilot stuff in news promos, show promos on the BBC, ABC, CBS and many other places on TV. If you have a link to VC in action please feel free to post it here as well.

Remember to keep the videos PG-13, fake violence is okay, of course.

So clearly buying Video Copilot products will only make you a better person, more productive and more attractive to beautiful women OR if you are a female, beautiful Men AND Women ; )
So you know what to do

NOTE: Be careful about using your own pay hosting to link videos, because you may get smashed with a bill.

July 17th, 2007 @ 7:02 pm
What the heck, I think I"m first to post here. I was just checking in.

Well, I've used your stuff Andrew as you already know because I've sent it to you.. Here is a the trailer for my movie, "Despondent". This uses some Riot Gear Elements, a lot of Designer FX and some adjusted Film Magic Pro. The rest, that's all us :) It's in the Download section of the website... Enjoy!
July 17th, 2007 @ 7:03 pm

Hey Joe,
Great stuff again. Can't wait to see more.
July 17th, 2007 @ 7:19 pm
Oooh, I gotta post some stuff when I am done recovering my harddrive, lost 500gb of stuff because of a HD failure! Also, great stuff above. Sweet to see others explore the possabilities of the prdoucts and tutorials!
July 17th, 2007 @ 7:22 pm
Alright here is a video that used a lot of Tutorials and Sounds from the Designer Sound FX DVD. The Intro and Outro have a lot of Andrew References.;8050566;;/fileinfo.html

I'll be making a breakdown of how I did the heat wave effect soon.

Here is a demo reel I made a week ago for an internship.;8050566;;/fileinfo.html
July 17th, 2007 @ 7:28 pm
Also Andrew, in the Designer Sound FX dvd (or Riot Gear) you have a dust cloud on there that was fantastic but no where on the DVD is it explained how its made. I know it's got to be Fractile Noise and using evolution some how and a large Solid layer. I can't get it to evolve the way you did. Anyway it was a great clip but much to short (6 seconds). Any chance a short how it was done could surface?
July 17th, 2007 @ 8:22 pm
oops...forgot the summer promo. I thought it was on my myspace but i got rid of it. oh well ill post it another time. Cheers!
July 17th, 2007 @ 8:26 pm
Hey Andrew,

I'm working on my Reel & will post the link as soon as it is done.
I think it will take a bit time to complete it.

Anyways, always thanking you for your TUTS otherwise it was not possible for me to make my REEL.

Thanx & Regards
July 17th, 2007 @ 8:28 pm
thats the only one i really used with your products, i didnt have a fake gun tho.
July 17th, 2007 @ 8:35 pm
also i did a heat haze effect on youtube, and since then ive seen heaps of videos with heat waves lol, probably just coincidence but who knows, mayby i had to discover a simple way to do the effect on my own to see other people do it to

This one I've done for our corporate international festival (I am still trying to break into the professional film industry) and I am now in the top 5 and going to the final in Australlia in 10 days. YEY!

Can't tell of the exact examples of VCP tuts that I used in the film, but it wouldn't be what it is without Andrew's inspiration. Bugger I had vary limited time and don't even own a camera.
Check it out:
July 17th, 2007 @ 8:44 pm
Yeah, I used alot of your tutorials..Thank you so much!!

Here's my website (that nobody goes to):
July 17th, 2007 @ 8:47 pm
I have about 29 short videos on my youtube page:

I have lots of stuff from this site. Some of the stuff is up to 4 years old so don't judge too harshly please.
I think this is a great idea, and I am always impressed at how amazing most peoples work is on here. I can't wait to see peoples stuff!!!
July 17th, 2007 @ 9:12 pm
I love the tutorials, I always try them out. Here are my personal tries at some of the tutorials.

Couldn't have done this without your awesome work and dedication you put into this site.

Thank you!
July 17th, 2007 @ 9:46 pm
hey andrew, was surfin the net when i came across this amazing animation. first thing that popped in my mind was to forward it to our copilot compadre.

Our own "assisted suicide" version:

hope all of you can enjoy it!
July 17th, 2007 @ 9:55 pm
These tutorials are great. I made use of tutorial #23 "Moving 3D Lines" for a short video on a website I built.

Click on the "About" link on top.

On a side note:

Andrew, let me know if you're curious on how to get rid of the "Click to activate and use this control" that is always associated with flash items. There are a couple work-arounds and it creates a seemless look for your website.

Other then that, keep up the great work. I'm blown away by what you're capable of.
July 17th, 2007 @ 10:02 pm
Great stuff.

Rick, thanks, I actually have that code somewhere, I should integrate it with the HTML files... I just never use Internet Explorer so I don't see it everyday.

Thanks to JESUSCHRIST and Andrew Kramer
July 17th, 2007 @ 10:31 pm

July 17th, 2007 @ 10:53 pm
I actually saw a commercial for a show on ABC I think, maybe CBS...not sure the show but I did notice they used riot gear. They used your in drop.
July 17th, 2007 @ 10:56 pm
Charles I will use my skills from Spanish 2 class to translate:

Hey Fresh0 your promos are very good, I never imagined those effects with religion were from Andrew kramer. They are very good examples, where are you from?

Best wishes from chihuahua, Mexico

; )
July 17th, 2007 @ 11:08 pm
Hrm..I'd have to post my own reel soon :D
July 17th, 2007 @ 11:20 pm
Well, this isn't really based on any of the tutorials... But the 3D room tut opened my eyes to the three-dimensional capabilities of AE and I ended up creating this:

I've also used reflections, and fly-by text effects in various promo videos. And of course, ever since watching your videos, I pretty much use a feathered black eliptical mask on everything I do now... :D
July 17th, 2007 @ 11:21 pm
Here's my online demo, not a lot of VC stuff but lot's of compositing advice from Andrew. The body of the demo is just a single Photoshop file with every image on a seperate layer and pushed forward and back in z-space, then a single camera move. I dropped in video clips when appropriate.

It's 1:13. Hope you enjoy!
July 17th, 2007 @ 11:41 pm
I love Andrew Kramer!
July 17th, 2007 @ 11:42 pm
joe i dont like the idea of downloading your film to be able to watch them is there away to see them without downloading .it taks space and time man .
July 17th, 2007 @ 11:48 pm

Thanks Anrew you have opened my eyes, i hope you will make my rich too.
July 18th, 2007 @ 12:42 am
@ blair
Awesome Video!
Tip: if you add some 2d images of an actual city in the background, it will add another dimension of realism. If it is done right, you can't tell the difference between the 2-d and 3-d buildings. They did kind of the same thing for a promo for the Chicago Film Festival.

July 18th, 2007 @ 2:28 am
I made this video about a fictious guitar label:

All this work including to have parts of the video black&white and other coloured was done by myself. As you can see here:

Nearly everywhere i had text in the video i used a free BG video from that came with Serious Effects.

If anyone has a question please contact me @

Hey Andrew & all who posted their reels yet,

thanks for those nice videos and inspirations. They all look very cool and personally give me some new input :)

The last 10 months we did a short movie and i used a lot of stuff i've learned from those tuts here @

It's a german short movie, but if you're intrested you can download it as a x264 encode with english subtitles.

Here's the promoclip for that movie:

Here's the movie itself (no subtitles, german audio):

Here the x264 with english subtitles: (100 MB)

I used Riot Gear and Desginer Sound FX for the promo and the short intro for the movie. The "big" one (after ~ 1 min) was made with riot gear. All the other musicstuff was done by a german synthi pop band called beborn beton.

Hope you like it ;)
July 18th, 2007 @ 4:35 am
@ Mind Drop Studios

Thanks! Great tip! Will definitely have to try that out sometime... Though I just recently had a HDD crash and lost a bunch of stuff, including that project file :( .

If there's one thing I've learnt it's that you can always count on technology to screw you over at the most inopportune times...
July 18th, 2007 @ 5:14 am
Which FLV-player is that on the Ripley site? I see it is the same as the one you're using here on - but no where to be found on the great net of inter..

What is it called, or better - where do I get it?

Here is a quick Cinema 4D modelling thing I did
July 18th, 2007 @ 6:34 am
Hey, Andrew, or anyone else. Do you guys know where I can get a video camera with manual focus, but isn't too expensive. Basically, I just need a cheap consumer video camera, that has good manual focus. That's all I'm really looking for.
July 18th, 2007 @ 7:56 am
Clancy.. You asked and so shall receive. I don't care as much for the Youtube Experience for quality reasons. I always prefer and give folks the option to download my work because I want the best quality shown of course. But hey, I hear ya and here is the youtube version. Does anyone know what format a film needs to be in to show up as 16x9 on youtube? My one trailer is somehow stretched, looks goofy. Weird.

First time on here. Just to let you know, I work for the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (Go Vols!), and I used the tutorial on Moving 3D Lines to create new endings to the videos we Produce at UTSports and You have to watch the whole video to see them at the end. Your tutorials are great and I hope we can purchase some of your products for the football season. Thanks!

Here is a more specific example of one of your tuts in action. I am not very proud of the commercial because the company I did it for had some very poor ideas (in my opinion) that they insisted on.

I used the light streaks, and they are probably the best part of the commercial. I keep the file on my computer in case I need a sweet background at short notice.
Again, I am astounded by the quality of peoples work on here. I have the highest level of respect for all of you guys. Keep it up!!!

July 20th, 2007 @ 6:17 pm
I never do as good a job in several hours (or days) that Andrew does in about 15 minutes, but here are some of my attempts at using his tutorials. They are very short on plot, mostly an excuse to use effects:)

Road Rage Trailer - used the Cruise Control (green screen with car) tutorial from the Serious Effects and Comp DVD combined with one of the title tutorials (there's a longer version with different music too):

Explosive Repercussions: Used the Blown Away Tutorial and the basic keying tutorial (I know the guys keep walking and walking):

And a video I did for a Tori Amos green screen contest (which I somehow won). I used a script from to rotate a panoramic photo and the rest was stuff I learned from Andrew:

Muzzle Flash and general compositing:

I have quite a few others, but most of them were before I started getting into AE and some are not effects heavy.

Thanks Andrew for all the great tutorials, your website and your sense of humor. Any suggestions or comments from everyone would be it out, I can take it, I think.
July 21st, 2007 @ 11:30 am

This trailer was made before I started to color correct the project, using Film Magic pro of-course ;)

But your tutorials were really helpfull, thanks alot

Hey's Riot Gear in action!

Some of the items were shot against a greenscreen....some were shot against a white background, then I used your tutorial on sky replacement to key out the props that were shot against the white background.

More Riot Gear in action to come!

October 5th, 2007 @ 10:36 am
We tried to greenscreen ourselves in The Matrix and used some Action movie essential and Designer sound fx stuff

It was a long process from storyboards to the completed version. Too bad we didnt have a better camera for better keying...oh well

Hey Andrew,

I have a video that I entered in the Apple Insomnia Film Challenge. I used Riot Gear, Designer Sound Effects, your lens flare preset, and the lightsaber preset. If you could watch it and tell me what you think, or even post it that would be awesome! It was a 24 hour contest and some of the lighting was bad, but I hope you enjoy it!

P.S. I hope the fires aren't effecting your area too much.

(I read somewhere up in this page that you studied spanish (?) ) Well, the thing is that I'm a karaoker in a fansub (group dedicated to subtitle japanese animation) and I did a karaoke for our main anime, D.Gray-Man, I don't know if i used some ideas from your tutorials, because i did a lot of them (not all, but quite a lot lol) but i learnt from 0 how to use AE from your tutorials,so I'm putting here the result:

I worked on a video for Apple's Insomnia 24 hour film contest, and the video is up on the site now. It's called "Red Cape" and is about a young boy superhero who may or may not have any super powers at all.

I used one of the grungy textures from Riot Gear as well as some tutorial techniques to create the title for the video. I also act in it, as the second criminal that Red Cape deals with!

Check it out on Apple's site here (and vote if you feel compelled!):

Or YouTube here:

Thanks for all the great work on the website Andrew!

November 13th, 2007 @ 5:06 am
Hey Guys,

I had only one week to complete a music video for a Finnish band, signed with Warner music.
With a fairly ambitious concept for the time and money I had to set out to make the SD footage look as slick as possible. Video coplilot products and tutorials gave me the confidence to create shots that were needed, as well as a few that were a pleasent supprise to the client.

Video Copilot techniques used:

3d projection for a set extention
Action Movie Essentials (fog effects)
Advanced 2D motion tracking
Riot gear textures

Other techniques used:

Trapcode Particular
Knoll light factory
Magic Bullet

I would like to thank Andrew Kramer and the Video copilot team for advancing my knowledge of After Fx and helping me pull something out of the bag for what was a very scary brief for the time given. I had only started using AE just over a year ago and know I want to pursue my learning for this awsome program, using the excellent resources available at

Cheers Guys!

Over the summer I worked on a promotional video for the University of Wisconsin, River Falls, and I noticed they put it up on YouTube recently (although it's been compressed horribly and squashed vertically :p).

I used the Auto Bright Lens Flare preset towards the end, and built a neat 3d shot using the ideas from the Quick 3d Reflections present (although I couldn't get the preset itself to work, so I figured out how to do a similar effect on my own).

Also, just the general knowledge I gained from VideoCopilot was a tremendous help in the post production phase overall! It was my first paid project outside of college, and the website was a big help, so thanks to everyone at VideoCopilot!

November 22nd, 2007 @ 2:40 pm
hey, i just recently plugged you guys in a series of videos i'm making for Rock Band; i didn't really use any general special technique, I just used some basic After Effects masking/keyframe stuff, but I plugged ya anyways cuz everyone's asking where to go to learn it, and I pointed them to your After Effects training tutorials :)
November 22nd, 2007 @ 10:35 pm
Andrew Kramer I would just like to say that you have been a tremendous help to me. I downloaded after effects 8.0 a couple of weeks ago and had no idea at all how to use it. I went through a couple of your free tutorials and I'm amazed at the stuff I can do now. You are my idol! I have a question though... For the Lightsaber tutorial is there a way you can make it so I can use the lightsaber for AE 8.0??? Or is that not possible?
Anyways thank you for taking the time to make all those tutorials! Your the best man!

-Max Bard

Just thought I would say thanks for Riot Gear and Designer SFX - without them (and all these free tutorials!) I wouldn't even have been able to enter the BBC's recent YouTube competition, nevermind win it!

Once again thanks Andrew.

Hey Andrew!

About a month ago, I purchased Designer Sound FX, and it was one of the best investments I ever made! Not only is the sound quality excellent, the deep, bassy sound added a lot of impact to my video. Even though I am not a sound designer, your tutorials shed a lot of light on how to mix sound effects.

You can view my video on Stage 6:

Thanks again!

Hey Andrew!

A friend of my asked me to make a intro and a logo to there gaming section at the University of Kalmar. And most of the technique and inspiration comes from tutorials . Specially the Fly By Titles tutorial.

Just wanted to thank you for the great tutorials and products. I watched many of the tutorials to jazz up a video montage for the department I work for. I do a video a year and I get great ideas from the turorials. If you watch the video you will see in the first 15 seconds how I used what I learned from Andrew.
February 12th, 2008 @ 1:55 pm
Hey Andrew, Remember the Camera through video trick you taught in one of your tutorials a while back. Well I need that one for an effect I was creating for a scene in our movie Swamp Justice. But what I did was instead of coming into the car, I did the reverse shot. Here is the finished scene minus the color grading. Hope you like it.

I work for a christian company named Student Life. We work with middle and high school students via summer camps and a cross-country tour which we are traveling on now. Our tour travels for about 15ish stops in which we will visit about 30,000 students and by the end of August, about another 70,000.

I am the tour video director and we (some other video and mograph guys) have created a bit (this is just a sample) of some custom graphics with Evolution and Riot gear. Our tour consists of a 5 projection screens and 3 plasmas controlled by a Grass Valley switcher and a combo of 9 Macs.

You can find us at . If anyone is in the area, they are welcome to visit our tour.

Would love to hear some comments...

Hi Andrew! Nice work! It's very helpful. Thxs to you, this is what are we doing during the week-end to have fun. Only cumputer image trick... its only a test. For the real shooting, we gonna use real blood for the experimental gore flash teaser as you see there.

Just wanted to post the splash vid for the website. I used some AK stuff and some Dan Ebberts expressions in order to come up with the spot. Thanks for the great products and awesome free stuff. Get that AfterShake out, cause I've gotta have one.

Let us know if you'd ever want to do an Inland Empire collaborative work. I'm tired of driving 2 hours into LA just to work with great and talented people. (We're located in Rancho Cucamonga)

Andrew your template is about to be on 20th Century Fox's website for their new movie jumper.
I did a short film for a contest and it won.
The title sequence is derived from one of your awesome templates.
They lady at fox said it will be on the site by the end of the week.
if that's not exciting and good publicity for you I don't know what is.
March 6th, 2008 @ 3:22 am
Kyle. That was rather funny, you ever thought of doing a tutorial for the "jumper" effect?
March 6th, 2008 @ 7:37 am
Haha well really the only real jumper effect was done when he leaves the couch into the kitchen. when he takes the trash out is just a last minute transition with blur.
But the leaving the couch to the kitchen was done exactly how they did it in the movie I just didnt have very much time to elaborate the effect.
Im in talks with fox about more episodes. If that is in fact where it goes then I will do a full breakdown of the effect because its really more on set and camera tricks than after effects work.

But to be honest I would much rather just give the shots and general breakdown to Andrew cause he's much better at presentation then myself.

Hi Andrew

Remember that tutorial with the page turn. Anyway, it really got me thinking and asking:

"Ok, if he can turn pages, then how about turning the cover of a book."

Well, I did it. All because of your page turn video tutorial which sparked off the thinking and question. I found out how to do it.

This is the video of the book turning:

And this Andrew is how I did it:

First part just shows how I got images ready but below, is when I go into After effects and use the anchor to move to side of the book to turn the page using the Y rotation:

Part 3
This got me thinking now about creating wedding album books turning lol. Man, it always leads to something bigger. Cheers

Hey guys
I've just made my website and I'm gonna be giving free 3ds Max tutorials
Not that i want to compete with Andrew (nobody would ever dare to do that), it's only that I want to cover some basic stuff that I personally couldn't find when I was in a learning stage. So make sure you come for a visit and leave some comments.

I've just started to make the website and it's a free website so don't expect too much of it. still hey.. come for a visit at:

Last halloween some co-workers and I literally threw together a horror movie trailer for a company contest. We shot it in about 4 hours total, edited and added effects and music in about 3 hours and ended up with this. Lots of VCP elements. We won the contest.
April 11th, 2008 @ 11:13 am
Hey Andrew.

So I started using After Effects just over a year ago. I went to film school, and knew about it, and its capabilities, but everyone said it was really complicated, so I never really used it. After college, I got a job working for a company that used AE, so I decided to start using it. Thats when I found out about your page, and since then I have learned so much.

Mainly I just wanted to say thanks to you and your team, for expanding my knowledge of something I used to know nothing about. I am always excited and waiting for the next new tutorial... plus its cool to see talented people in this crazy town we call Murrieta.

Anyways, thanks again.

Here is an animation I did, that started from an inspiration I got from the Smoke Screen Tutorial.

Hi Andrew,
I've just finished my composite imaging dissertation for University and I've got to say the Video Copilot products and tutorials helped me a lot to pull of some of the effects I wanted to recreate.

Hey Andrew,

Just wanted to say thank you for all you do on this site! I can't tell you how much I have learned from you. As a promotions producer for Indiana's NewsCenter in Fort Wayne, IN I do not have time in my day to learn AF on my own, with Video Copilot I am able to fit in some of your tutorials at home without wasting the whole night. May 2nd, 2008 @ 7:11 am
Hi, I'm a freshman in college now, and enjoy making special effects. Here is the latest David Windhorst Productions film:

Aeria Gloris

Channel: Daveblueband

The film uses some new compositing techniques and better graphics overall. What's great is that this is all filmed on a Sony Cybershot digital camera! The audio was the hardest, but due to limitations in college and time, we had to dub a lot. Also note: it is broken into three parts due to Youtube restrictions (the project is an overall four part series). The next two films are in pre-production for the summer right now. Please let me know what you think! Thanks for all the help Andrew!

Recently we entered a movie contest that the American Red Cross was holding and, after alot of hard work and with the help of your film magic pro, designer sound effects, and various tutorials we were able to win. Hello =)
This is not my work and it was just a thing I saw when I watched TV a few days ago.
There is a program on swedish national television called "Myggan" which is a cartoon comedy show (something like simpsons or family guy). When I watched the episode I noticed in an early scene of the show they had used blood from the Action Movie Essentials package! Would mabye be fun for you to know for some reason :P
Heres the link to the episode (it aired on the channel Kanal5 which is "Channel5" in swedish).
The blood is seen at 00:28.

Hi Andrew, this isn't actually my work, I only saw it in television.

These are some design elements from our NOVA channel. It's Czech actually, so you probably wont understand a word, but that doesn't matter, the graphics are in the beginning.

So I wanna ask: are these from your Evolution DVD? I don't have it, so I don't know, they just look a little familiar to me.

I'm currently working on a music video for a contest - the video is for the song Weird Fishes/Arpeggi by Radiohead. I'm currently back at school at the ripe old age of 37 studying visual effects and motion graphics, and this is one of my projects:

I have used a couple of textures from Riot Gear, as well as an ink drop - can you spot it?... ;-) - and I've used Twitch pretty extensively also - Twitch is really, really useful.

Other plugins used are mainly Trapcode Particular which I bought recently. Excellent plugin!

Anyway - if anyone takes the time to have a look - thanks! Remember it's a WIP at the moment.

Hi Andrew,

First of all I have to tell you that I really love your site and your style. Since I've heard about this site (like 3 months ago) I have to confess that I'm addicted to it, hehe.
Okay, today I've finished my project for school. Our project was to produce a videoclip, during a period for 20 weeks, for an upcoming rockband. So actually we've produced, directed, filmed and edited the whole clip. Now I would like to show you a movie, that I've just uploaded, with the making of and the final result of this official videoclip, because I've used some of your tutorials. I've also mentioned your name in the credits at the end of the movie.
Please take your time to check it out and I would love to hear your comment!

Just wanted to drop you a link to the teaser trailer for my new short film, MERCY. I used Riot Gear ink drops mixed with a little shine for the titles, and Designer SoundFX for some of the audio. I also used both products on the main film as well. Please let me know what you think.

Hello Andrew!!
Thanxs a lot for all your great tutorials, they have helped me a lot!!
I had one question! If you want to make a big video ( about 2 minutes) with only animation. What is the best way to do this ? Make it in short parts and then edit it or make it all at once??

Dear videocopilots, dear Andrew,
I wasn't sure first, but after watching all those amazing videos, trailers and clips people made based on your creativity, I thought it couldn't be wrong to show you what we have done. We are students from the Bavarian Academy for TV and are gratuating these days as Cutters. Actually we didn't have time for this short film because we had to learn for our tests, but I couldn't resist realizing ideas I have in mind for a long time now. And thanks to you I finally was able to fight with superhero powers.
This film is maybe the first step to my call as a movie director and the first time I am able to actually see my ideas on screen. For this I thank you very much and so I present you here the first version of "The Hunt", I hope it inspires you for more "supernatural" tutorials!

Hey Andrew,

we want to tell you, that helped us a lot for our university project.
I have tried some silly compostions with AE a couple of years ago, but that project
and your tutorials pulled me back to the real challenge; to make some fantastic
animated graphic stuff.

Our task in the project was to "swed" a blockbuster.
And in this case we choosed ARMAGEDDON ;)
Here is the final result:

thank you

Here's a little video using some evolution elements and a hint of over the top dramatic music and graphics in the style of VCP :-)

ps- how do you get your movie file sizes so small, on your tut, you output Qt with photoJpeg 90, but your embeded movies are swf?

I was wondering if this could be improved by Andrew and done again with his own footage. I would like to see a tutorial for it. Please take this into consideration. I know you get tons of request and probably keep preety busy. I understand as a college student with a job and a family.
July 25th, 2008 @ 5:10 am
Well here's my first personal project...It's a kind of trailer for, the french soulcalibur players community. I wanna take the oppurtunity to thank you Andrew. I'm beginner on AE and 95% of what i've learned come from your tutorials. I wanted this project to look as much professional as possible though i'm not so skillfull so tell me if it makes it cause that's the kind of work i wanna present to find a job in motion graphics, so your crits&comments are highly expected.
You guys are doing a really great job with this site so keep going...

This is a project I did for some organization at my college. There are a lot of little things I've pulled through the months from this site that I used. Damn good tutorials Andrew, granted sometimes they give me a headache trying to figure out how you do them, but it does lead me to want to learn all the crazy stuff after effects can do!

Hello, Andrew! I know this thread is literally four years old, but I wanted to post the trailer for my campy super hero web series "Sprinkles". I used "Action Essentials", your tutorials and "Twitch" for just about every single shot in the series! It's extremely effects heavy and would have had a much tougher time trying to get it done without your generous tutorials and awesome products!

God luck to you!

Hi Andrew, just wanted to let you know that you and your tutorials have become a very valuable asset to the United States Army Garrison at Fort Bliss TX. My vids based on your tutorials have been shown around the world and a few of them have taken worldwide awards within the Army community. Thank you for teaching me everything I know. I bow to the master.
