Deleted Scenes

Well it is no secret that sometimes I cut out little things from my tutorials. There are a lot of considerations when this happens. Usually for good reason, I don’t like to over complicate things with endless sidebars that make the tutorial seem convoluted or many other reasons such as:

  • Effects that take too long
  • Senselessness
  • Not Humorous
  • Sad and Disappointing
  • Sake of Professionalism
  • Rendering times (figure 2 minutes of rendering to 1 final)
  • Corporate sponsors Like Coke & Pepsi, (not yet sponsors)
  • Incoherent rambling and childish name-calling

Here are a few deleted scenes from the vault.
Watch Now

NOTE: I know it goes black for a sec towards the end.Long story, but it is part of the moving 3D lines tutorial.

Release a bloopers-scene, would be funny to see the masters mouth mess up or do something wrong ;p
July 18th, 2007 @ 3:47 am
Heh, nice ... "aftershake" was best :)
July 18th, 2007 @ 3:49 am
That came out abit wrong, I mean: Give more bloopers. Love hearing all the funny stuff that can come out of that! : )

Hehe TuxedoKat, I was thinking the same thing. That Andrew was colorcorrecting his...dirty movies...
July 18th, 2007 @ 4:58 am
I'll try to put out some more "advanced" stuff, but I do have to keep an even balance.
July 18th, 2007 @ 5:01 am
huhu ! I see that you spend crazy afternoon at home :p
July 18th, 2007 @ 5:19 am
Andrew - Keep an even balance? You're soon upto 50 tutorials, and the tutorials scale nicely, so I don't see a problem keeping on with the long more advanced tutorials.
July 18th, 2007 @ 5:22 am
That was pretty funny. Kind of puts me in the mood for a milkshock. Errr... I mean milkshake.
July 18th, 2007 @ 5:22 am

Thank you, Andrew! That was very funny and very informative at the same time. I think it's the best video on videocopilot.net. I did know how to do a lightwrap in Photoshop for a still image but couldn't find out how to achieve it in After Effects. And the stuff you showed with that Girl.mov brought me to some cool ideas. I never thought before to use a ramp with an adjustment layer to apply effects. So, thank you for listening to your community and bringing out this amazing blooper reel. Things like this makes you to the best tutor on the internet.

July 18th, 2007 @ 7:43 am
Hey Andrew...

of course we are cracking you up. Hehe; if anyone is smart/intelligent and AT THE SAME TIME as funny - its you!.

And thats not a joke (saying it in your words ;-)

Personally what I liked best was the really creative jokes in the last two Tutorials (you know, 10000 miles of fishing string and 500 Laserpointers to blow up to moon = ROFL, LOL, ROFL)

Just wondering: How do you figure that out so make such jokiful tutorials? Are all those just Ideas of the second? Or do you collect them for the next one?

But nevertheless be careful: One day you have "your shirt turnes inside-out" :D

PS: Besides I found a market giving away free Computers (and the ones even YOU could not affort- not even in for stupidest dreams (which of course you have, I suppose :-P)

:D:D:D (Just remember your Promo-Tutorial for Filmmagig Pro ^^

July 18th, 2007 @ 2:54 pm
The ha-ha overflow is messed u-p because of the ha ha's being one word. For the render engine this means no linebreak. If it was like hahahahahah haha(mention the whitespace) then your browser would have applied a linebreak.

fix for IE: add in css: word-wrap: break-word;
Firefox wraps whenever it can AFTER a whitespace. so big bug, know for years, dno why it's never fixed.

This fix doesn't comply to W3C rules and therefore stay away from it :) Opera seems to handle it fine I guess.

In the last video you said you can not control the wiggle that it is always shaking. Im sure you know this but you can control it if you link the wiggle expression to a expression controller such as a slider. Just thought I'd bring this up. Hope you don't think I'm a smart ass. Good stuff like always

Lynda.com also doesnt offer this kind of training. They cover the basics of the program. They also have a "title techniques" dvd, but they're kinda lame.
Andrew Kramer can school them any day of the week.
HEY, Heres and Idea. Maybe Andrew Kramer should do a Lynda.com Training DVD, and up their standards a bit haha

Hey Andrew, Sam & everybody.

I feel sorry 4da bunch of ha ha’s I posted yesterday, I did'nt mean anything wrong, it was my mistake.

Anyways SORRY Everybody & I apologize for my Mistake

Thnx & Regards

July 19th, 2007 @ 10:10 am
@ Dustin James, actually that's not light wrap. My dumbass exported the video out from AE at a different size than what I exported it at in Final Cut. So what youre actually seeing are the black bars from my first export. I must have had the black bars when I brought it into AE and added the lighting effects onto pof it so it looks lighter. wont happen again hopefully :) thanks for checkin out Berringer. Were doing some more shooting in 2 weeks. Expecting some big things for this project. I cant wait to share it with everybody. Stay tuned!

It looks nothing like it did on the computer.

July 19th, 2007 @ 1:23 pm
Thanks for all the great info.

One question: What are you shooting these videos on? HD?, HDV?, Mini-Dv?

Did I say one question--cause I meant two!

When I try tracking I have the hardest time finding a point that doesn't become blurry at some point and throws the tracker off--I shoot on a Panasonic DVX100A 24P advanced.

Any ideas?

Thanks again--this site is why the internet doesn't suck!
July 20th, 2007 @ 12:23 am
I use HDV JVC HD200

You some times have to track by hand moving the cross-hair as needed. Or larger track points.
July 21st, 2007 @ 1:32 am
