TUTORIAL NOTES:
NOTE: The only reason it says South Africa, is because I had to record this tutorial twice. And because I'm not that good at geology.

I had to improvise and do a bunch of manual keyframe settings; becuase, 6.5 doesn't have all the same fancy tools CS3 does - such as fractal noise and glow. I'm struggling with larger resolutions...the sphere's come out looking like eggs. Anyway...awesome tutorial. Here's my version of your project - the egg version. ![]() http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wbce6fiARLY Peace by manuvr 02/08/2010 very good work Andrew. tanks r u fine? by Ben 02/06/2010 Thanks Andrew. Thanks a lot man. Mel Philippines by Michael 07/20/2009 You can use Spherize instead of CC Shpere by BBDesign 07/14/2009 Something to keep in mind is that if you are going to be using this for anything other than personal use, you can NOT use Google images. It's a violation of their license. However, NASA lets you use their images for free with no restrictions. As for the rotation, to ensure that you have a smooth rotation (without any hiccups, seamless rotation, etc.), put a keyframe in the first frame, then hit End to go the end of your comp and hit the PageDown key on your keyboard to advance one frame past the end, and in the Y Rotation, make it 1x360. by DarkEntity 07/14/2009 wow!i like your sense of humor.some guys are too serious about your jokes..lol.actually they are a big help to the tutes.jokes help eliminate some of boring moments when learning something.i love the eclipse!!!!!the best!!thanks a lot! by RicharD17 07/14/2009 great tito, but I have a problem, I don't know where get the Expression: Radius y I couldn't complete the tutorial, someone could help me please? by Sheva777 07/14/2009 Coooooooooooooooool by bilge 07/06/2009 you are great, funny and very helpful, I feel more comfortable with AE now, eh this is from a videocopilot girl :) by Rory 07/03/2009 To find the earth pictures just do a google image search for 'Earth Map', it should be one of the first results. Same thing for the clouds, just do a google image search for 'Could Map' there are a few of each, just pick your favourites. by Jony 06/29/2009 Hey thx for the tutorials i learn with you so much in 5 days do a tutorial like a energy ball how to do a energy ball if you want of course But anyway thx Andrew From Portugal !!!!!!!!! =D :D by eunix 06/19/2009 i'm a beginner but your commentary bing me as a pro by Second Company 06/14/2009 Another great Tutorial by the great Andrew Kramer check out my version http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zo1Wg_XhX3w by TADLOS 06/08/2009 LOLOLOL south Africa XD It was actually South AMerica.... But, ur awesome! lol by Chandrasekar 05/26/2009 I want to read this tuto.. but there is no vedio... it shows blank page... please check over it by andrey 05/24/2009 need help it dosent looks like a sphire for me by glen sutton 05/23/2009 I found this to be a great tutorial. For added realism I duplicated the cloud layer, placing it under the original, and made the mode silhouette luma and offset it slightly and adjusted the opacity to create shadows of the clouds - it added a nice sense of depth to the atmosphere making the clouds appear to be up off the surface of the planet. by Hey 05/16/2009 where's the moon? great tutorial though by lonin 05/16/2009 yeah nab that is great jah bless by Buchanan 05/15/2009 Alright anyone who has cc sphere, u most likely got it through the cycore fx hd pack, alright let me tell why there is a big x on it. It is because it is not unlocked, and its cost hundreds of dollars to buy the unlock key, buts that's for cycore fx 1.5 or 1.6, so I advise you to get 1.1. search cycore on youtube and look throught the videos, if when you download it and it says 1.5 or 1.6 delete it, and look for the 1 thats says 1.1 or 1.01, because it is already unlocked and there wont be any X, OK by Akeldan 05/13/2009 Thank you Andrew, you said "i hope this tut useful for you" Belive it is more useful than u can imagine. Thank you, you give us hope:) by Max H. 05/09/2009 Hello! I saw this tutorial and I spend more time with those stars and I noticed they are not every where when you use "Camera tool". If you need 3D stars you do particles and effect Particular and change the "Animatoin Present" to "t_SarfieldStatic1" that make it look like you are in space looking around. I learned that from "Colorful Universe" tutorial. by Philip 05/07/2009 Awesome tutorial! You are my hero dude. This tutorial is both hilarious and educational. That song at the end! That killed me! =D by Rafael Arinelli 04/28/2009 Dear Andrew, i'm a big fan of you, but i have to say; I'm a brazilian guy, and in the begining of this tutorial you said "you can go to wherever you whant, so south africa..." and that is definitively not south africa, it's South AMERICA! but that's ok! =) we are accustomed with that! =) thant you very much for the tutorial, you are teach me a lot of things! see you! by Matt 04/23/2009 When I add the CC sphere to the image there is a big X on the earth. And so generous, very very grateful by AJ 04/02/2009 hey andrew! this is a SWEET tutorial but i was wondering what you used for the map pictures? did you use google earth images? or did you get license free pictures from somewhere? by Michael Gibson 03/15/2009 That Was So Easy I So Thought This Would Be SOOOO Hard...thanks for another great tutorial! by Nike Haeg 03/10/2009 Nice tutorials you're doing, I've learned quite a lot just watching you scour the menus and pickwhippin' attributes. No big deal, just millions of people in over a dozen countries... But hey.. what's the difference between an Emu and a Zebra, right? by Chris 03/01/2009 Andrew. You do know you're a god at AE right?
