Great tutorial, awesome plugin, downloaded installed but auto-rotate is not working! :(

Just found a problem. If you do not have enough memory available to create the baked camera, the plugin will show you an error, and it will not let you exit. The error will repeat until you free up memory (RAM, I presume).

I used Sure Target 2 and Pro Scores to make a video for Time Magazine's Top 10 Star Wars Fan Films. Thanks for all the great information and tools Andrew.

Have no clue why I cant get this thing working.

Im running windows vista 64, downloaded the plugin, copied it to my plugin directory, ran AECS4, and no sign of sure target..? (tear)

Just a workflow tip to those interested: On my mac the "u" key doesn't work as explained on the Sure Target layer. The expressions still show up, but if you hit "u" and then "shift-ee" you'll be left with just the keyframe layers.

AAE CS5 is the ultimate version i have ever experience. Cheer to all those who made it happen.

Hi Mr. Kramer,

I just wanted to let you know that the SureTarget plugin feature "auto rotate" does NOT work if you change the orientation of a layer. It only works if you change the x, y, or z rotation of the layer. Just something to think about for an update. You're the man!

Hi Andrew - I am using ST 2 - have found that when Baking Camera I cannot do more than 30 secs selection with out AE CS4 crash. I have 8Gigs Ram working on MAC BP 3.06 Core 2 Duo. I am having to split the time line up into 30 second batches. Have you had these issues?

Great tutorial. I do mostly web-dev and was asked to make an animation for some of the screens. This really helped spice things up a bit and made me appear glorious. Thanks a lot! By the way does nobody read the bold 'Please Read' disclaimer on here...jeez.

I have a problem. SureTarget doesn't automatically aim to the text targets. And if I try to aim it, the camera always follows and so I can't make the camera aim perfectly. Please HELP!!!

hey, so i had a big problem when using this yesterday to when doing a tvc, after i set up the 10 targets i wanted and key framed when each would be shown, i would then go back and make adjustment like re-frame with dolly or and wiggle or anything and all data would be lost? the targets are still in the target destination drop down but when i scrub through the timeline, no animation :/ is this just an old problem thats been fixed?

also having the same problem as rahil, where the null object is constantly repositioning itself, does anyone know how to fix this?

rahil, try control clicking the targets to add them the way it shows in the tutorial. sometimes when you add them one at a time things get screwy.

Guys help plz..ive tried the forum too but no one seems to reply..whenever i change any parameter of sure target my camera goes off somewhere,i have to keep centering the null object every time..anyone else having the same problem??..please help got to submit a project its really important.

On minute 08:45 - spreading the keyframes by selecting them, then ALT click the last keyframe and move it left or right... it's almost two seconds faster! ;)

Ok... I have Mac OSX 64bit and the file is a Plugin that I download. All the other effects that I have are .ffx files and this .plugin is not working. I have CS4 btw.

Hey Andrew, how come in my CS4 the ancor point of every text layer isn't in the center but in the bottom left corner and is there any way to make it appear in the middle?

I notice only a limit doing a recent project.
The position values of the "Driver Null" can't reach value over 10000.
In the previous version there wasn't those limitation.

i think it's because on mac we have to hold "cmd" button instead of "ctrl" button to select multiple layers.

serriously one of the best plug ins ever, I can not even begin to estimate how much time this will save me in animating camera, being able to bake the camera is pure genius...

ANYHOW

Too add to your tutorial when using the print PDF from, to add a bit more depth and variety to your work, I have a suggestion for people to open PDF in illistrator and distribute some or all of the compound groups to different layers then export as PSD, which you can then import to AE, opening up a lot more options having different elements to play with and put ino 3d space instead of one big picture.
