the composition settings must be 1920x1080 (full hd this is, if I am right with numbers) and I thing that setings for lears like solids, when you create them also shoud be full hd size it shoud increase the quality of elements of your composition... srry for mistakes.

I figured out how to do it. I was stuck on this for a bit too but it's pretty simple. You just pull the 24 layer back to whatever number, then for the base layer, you press "m" and bring out the mask. Then you set the key points (on the base layer) starting from the 12th layer to end with the 1st layer. You will then have a result of what he showed on the video.

I'm not sure, but I believe Andrew simply deleted the 2nd layer. He was demonstrating the effect of the wiggle expression by comparing 2 copies of the same layer, showing how even though they were duplicate copies, the wiggle expression had the effect of making small "random" differences.

No, he doesn't delete the layer. He adds the layer to add more effect cuz each layer differs slightly and adds more shattering. I too have this same question. He uses a shortcut on the keyboad and it seems to me that hes joining to two layers to make it one. I can't figure it out.

The tutorial was a big help. Even though theres a skip in editing around 10:14, easy fix.
Any chance you could help me with something
I'm trying to get just the eyes to glow on a person. You know like an inner demon or spiritual being. I've done multiple motion tracks and glow possibilities but because people blink the effect doesn't seem bear fruit.

You export the movie (Composition>Make Movie) and click render in the top right corner of the render queue window.

In the 10 Free After Effects BASIC training, it has a video. The icon with the green star. All you have to do it go to Compisition>render queue and cick "render" for more detailed instrunctions, go to the basic training vid.
