So, one thing that will speed up the proxy queueing process... I was doing the part where you click each file and select make proxy and all that... BUT I figured out you can select all the files and physically drag them onto the render queue. It adds them all and then you can choose the template for all of them at once! Thanks for the tutorial, and for all of the tutorials, and the downloads and then of course StarWars.

I am having an issue... Rendered out at exact settings as video, but when I go enable proxy, result is a still image rather than a low-res .mov file

Hi there,

I am trying to use the template to create proxies for multiple tiff sequences. When I do not use the template, I am able to create proxies. When I use the template, I am only able to apply it to about 3 tiff sequences for it to work. I have tried twice to apply it to about 20 tiff sequences, and after it is all finished rendering, there are no proxies. Does anyone know what I may be doing wrong?

Thanks,
~Marianna

Can proxies be used effectively with Roto Brush? My HD footage bogs down considerably with Roto Brush and I'm looking for ways to improve workflow.

tutorials are great, big fan for ages, but i'm wondering how come they are so popular in non english speaking countries, reading through them is like an episode of borat...which is great in a way because you're doing more than teaching after effects, you're kind of representing "western stuff" (this summary should do for a small comment) globally.

Always a pleasure to view a tutorial. Keep up the great work. I feel that you could also expand on this tutorial and go into the memory and multiprocessing settings in the preferences tab.

Other than that, keep up the great work. I enjoy using your products - Twitch, Riot Gear, Evolution, Action Essentials 2HD, ProScores and Designer Sound EFX. Thanks a bunch!!

Hi!

I have a problem: i made a project with 8-9 layers, and a camera. When i try to export the project in mpg4 or avi, in the rendered movie the camera doesn't move like i set. Why?

Thanks for the tutorial, did not know how to set the render to automatically have my specific render settings. It will save so much time.

Question: Would you be able to proxy green screen HD footage, or would that be a bad idea because of the keying operation taking place on the layer?

My entire school officially asks that you make a man on fire/iceman type tutorial. I think it would be tough; making computer generated fire in AE is tough, and you would have to parent the flames to the person and mask out his body, and maybe set the flames to some sort of blending mode.

Here's hoping you make a tutorial like that!

Hey man, really usefull tutorial to be honest. But I have a question, and I don't know how you're going to answer it, but I'll ask it anyway.. ^,^.. How can I modify a template to render something in a specific folder, for example: I have a footage in c:\Iloveandrewkramer\wtf.mov , I add some effects to it and everything, and I want to use a template for the rendering, and the template renders it in my footage's folder (c:\Iloveandrekramer\).However I want to render it in d:\Imnotgay cause I have more free space available for example.

I Don't know if you got what I meant, cause my grammar and English overall sucks donkey ass. Anyway Keep it going, you do an awsome job.

Greetings from Cluj,Romania!

Wow... this really helps... I honestly thought I was doomed with staggery workflow since my laptop keeps lagging everytime I work on even one of your tutorials... (ie planet). I'm glad I started watching all of these older tutorials. This should hopefully help with one of my issues of constantly getting an error message whenever I apply glow to a project and move the time slider.
