I was wondering, could you could continue this tutorial and create a black hole distorting and sucking in the space and fractures of the planet.
Also thanks a-lot for your great tutorials.
sorry for my poor english, because i mfrom gujrat.
The actual explosion portion is animated, but the chunks of the planet seem to use the exact shatter effect and look just like they used the tutorial.

The gravity should've been 0 even though you wanted it to be 1 for the sake of the tutorial. Also, how you did it now it just seems the planet has an outer shell but no core. I mean, all planets have something on the inside too right? Also the bits are too large. Remember, this is a big planet, after all. It to our eyes the bits would be big, but in space it would be tiny chunks of earth.
I think those latter 2 could've been solved by duplicating the layer, and then doing one with smaller puts a frame or five offsetted from the original to create both large ans small bits. And duplicating once more, and then offsetting it alot to make it be "inside" of the outer bits we had created and then make the extrusions larger.
That way it would seem it has a core too and that it explodes in both small and big chunks like a planet would do! That's just how I feel it though.
However let's come to the point... I've tried to do this blowing up effect... and well I tried to ad a "shaking" just around the explosion frames... (not more than 5/6 frames)... I've taken inspiration by the earthquake tutorial... It looks like the planet before "pump" up the energy, than shakes and blows out so powerfully... (sorry for any English mistake)...
Great job man!! Keep on doin'em...
Cheers, Nick
what a effect
The second : When the planet explosed the part could be more little
Thx , For the tutorial , You are awesome , Love you

I gave it a try for a simple AE assignment we had to do in my digital production class. The end result worked wonderfully.
