Best Regards!
First I want to thank you for this awesome tutorial, I am learning a lot. I am a little bit confused about how to animate that ball, because in 3D Max you just modeled it without set any starting, or ending frame. This is the only issue I am having with this tutorial, I already made the ball, added shell modifier and material, I just don't know how to proceed with animation.
Thank you very much, you rule man.
I hope you are going to read comment from such a old post!
I have problem with my shadows. Let me explain.
I am doing dhadows to my bouncing balls. Something like in you examples.
The problem is When I set up the expession for the focus distance and connecting it withe the position of the grid and camera it is just working in the opposite way. That means as the balls are getting closer to the ground the shadows are vanished and blured. As the balls are bouncing away from the ground the shadows are getting sharp and smaller. Which is obvously not good.
Any suggestions where am I go wrong.
The null rotated -90 degrees. The floor rotated as you did - 90 degrees.
Any idea, suggestions.
Thank you,
Misi
Keep it up...
Awesome Tut.
Just wondering how you did that camera zoom technique in your demo example.
Your personality (which actually captures your audience) even trumps your astounding knowledge.
Great stuff, Andrew.
