Pretty sure its achieved by using the 'FOCUS' channel or something similar on E3D output settings. Duplicate the instance of E3D then composite the effect on top animating the focus distance. Worth a go....

iight iv read forum after fourm iv watched ur tatourl a thousend times spent countless dollars an i still cant get passed the fukin cam yo once he makes the new cam in layers im lost cuz i cant move any of the buildings i just move the layer the cam doesnt do anything for me

well take the camera tool and rotate the camera or move the camera ( press c )
because you dont ove the building, you move the camera around the buildings

imagine it that way your camera is a helicopter and flys around the city.

to get to the camera tool you press c. Now there are different types of camera movement

rotating( well its rotating )

parallel ( like just plain and simple moving )

and zoom ( zoom duuh )

to switch between those different camera moving-modes you have to press c again

Hey carl, great vid. I have a question. what were your render settings and how big was the final file size? I want to add this metropolitan pack as an extension of a short I am working on but considering it is 3D, I am concerned it will be much bigger than the 600MB file limit.
