Really nice tutorial. It had some great techniques that could be mixed with own thoughts and make a great intro. I watched this tutorial and made a video of my own, using some of your techniques but i used my own ideas and gave it a quite nice touch.

But when I tried it I wanted to do it a bit differently so instead of a smoke puff I used fire.
Took forever for my little MSI Wind to render it...over 50 hours...but it looks nice...if anyone wants to take a look...

the best part of this tutorial was the trapcode use, very original. I think I will use it in my next project as dirt flying up from "tremors"

This was ok, but here is what I think of when I hear "whispy".

I'd like to see more fluidity from the smoke. Instead of the smoke covering the text, it should become the body of the text.

I see you use Trapcode particular, is there an other way to make that smoke effect FROM SCRATCH? I would love to see (and it would be fairplay) something spectacular that doesn't need (but could) Twitch or Riot Gear or Trapcode p. YOU are the best at After Effects. Please, give us neebies hope that, one day, we too could be as good as you (or close to be) and show everyone that those plugins premade animations aren't absolutely essential.
