Hi, luv the tutorials, I'm using CS6, at 7:50 where you key frame the mask shape with your version, CS6 doesn't have a Mask Shape in the list what can I do? HELP!!!!!!

Hi I'm new to AE n luvn the tutorials!
Just going through 55 eyeball replacement and at 7:52 where you use keyframes on MaskShape,icn't do it because I have a newer version, CS6 and there is,MaskPath, Feather, Opacity & Expansion, no Mask Shape, so how do I get round this, HELP!!!!!!

In the newer versions mask path is the same as mask shape, i think 6.5-CS3 use mask shape and CS4?-CS6 use mask path

Did everything came out perfect... added a whole bunch of personal touches- just love this tutorial..
Now... started on the other eye and everything got messed up.

can you show how to do the other eye (at least how to start on it- withought getting all the layers jumbled up.
Very important for me... thanx

Precomp all your layers for one eye, then effectively start again. :) this really helps preventing confusion.

Just export the first video of the eye, then redo the whole process from the beginning (adjusting one eye, with the other eye already in the video, you can even get after effects to work faster since it's not rendering both eyes in the same project!)

Very #%&!in stuff.. lots of aha's so far. i see im not the only one appreciative of your work. definitely opening doors to other places and possibilities. am awestruck that at least the tutorials are free.. please keep'em coming. no complaints here.

Anyway, for what its worth, id like to see how the gladiator fight effect is done then maybe a bird flying around in a room and Im good. Ive done the basic and about 6 tutorials and still can get my head around some stuff.. Like still dont even dare to aspire to things like the spacecraft dropping to the sun in the movie "sunshine". What a masterpiece! am still gaga googoo boobie bang over the sound effects not to mention the visuals. Talk about an attitude realignment stick.. good grief.

Nice tutorial!
But, I've seen around four times, and there is something kinda bugging me a bit. And the specular for the left eye is there all the way, when the right specular is starting somewhere in the middle.
But it was easy to fix, I just cut the specular clip until it matched the startpoint of the right one. But I'm surprised you missed that tiny detail. Regards from Norway!

Keep up the good work. your keeping me out of college.
Why pay £3000 a year for a barely qualified teacher when I can watch in depth quality tutorials.
I wasted a year at my local college learning that. now i'm £3000 in debt.
this year I used the money to buy my own equipment and teach myself/use the net.
your website is a godsend. Hopefully one day I'll make something that reaches you and I can repay you in enjoyment and quality.

Great tutorial - it really knocked me down on my ass :)
But there is one qestion for you :)Im useing AAE 7.0 and when i insert my footage and create the null object i right click on my footage, i cant choose Track motion couse its gray (well im not allowed to do it), any idea how to fix it :)?
