Hi! Great tutorials. I've just started with After Effects, more as a hobby, and your tutorials really make it easier to get my teeth into the programme!
I was wondering how you increased the speed of the energy. I followed the tutorial before this and got quite a slow energy effect, so it doesn't woosh past like yours does and looks a little awful, what with the text distorting and finishing to distort before the whole effect has gone past. Any ideas? Also, noticed the energy was a lot more streamlined. Obviously I'm not looking to copy you directly, but I cannot achieve the end result that you have, and it's kind of annoying!
Any help would be greatly appreciated. :)

This is cool, but it would be really nice if you would link or allow us to download your "Previous composition" because its an honest pain in the butt to dig through your older tutorials to find what you're referencing to.

"VIDEO COPILOT" -> Shaterrize effect -> "COPILOT VIDEO" -shaterrize effect.

For everyone else looking for the original energy wave, and not apparently being answered via forum, I found it. If you go to the page where you can downloag the project ( http://www.videocopilot.net/tutorials/energy_wipe/ ) there is a very tiny tutorial note that says refer to tutorial 77 (soul Removal is the title)
